Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a coated insect having the color and luster of the living insect and resistant to breakage by spreading the wings and legs of a collected insect, dehydrating the insect, coating the wings and body of the hardened insect with a mixture of a lacquer and a synthetic resin, coating with a specific resin, curing the resin, applying a resin to the surface and coating the insect with a delustering agent. CONSTITUTION:The wings and legs of an insect (e.g. butterfly, dragonfly, cicada or beetles) collected in the natural world are spread. The wings and the body of the insect are slightly hardened by applying a liquid mixture of a lacquer and a synthetic resin (e.g. styrol resin) to the wings, etc. The slightly hardened wings and body are coated with a synthetic resin having adhesivity and compatible with the above resin (e.g. a colorless clear emulsion adhesive of vinyl acetate resin) to effect slow hardening of the wings and body. The hardened insect is coated with a synthetic resin (e.g. the above emulsion having different concentration) compatible to the delustering agent to be applied thereafter. Finally, a delustering agent consisting of a mixture of a lacquer and a silicone filler is applied to the surface to obtain an insect specimen having the color and luster of the living insect.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION (Field of Industrial Application) The present invention relates to a method for encapsulating insects in a synthetic resin layer 12 while retaining their color and luster when alive, and is utilized in the field of insect sampling.

(Problems to be solved by the invention) The wings, body, and antennae of insects are minute objects, and even if they are touched by hands or objects, the wings and body antennae will be damaged. If you leave it for a long time, its wings will break, its legs will fall off, its antennae will fall off, and in the case of butterflies, the phosphorus powder will evaporate.Always look at the specimen through the specimen box, and each time you do research, you must remove it from the specimen box. The current situation is unacceptable.

(Means for solving the problem) This invention solves the above problem by spreading the wings of an insect, hardening it in a dehydrated state, and then mixing a liquid mixture of styrene resin and lacquer into the insect body and wings, and molding it. After curing, a colorless and transparent vinyl acetate resin emulsion adhesive is applied, then colorless and transparent vinyl acetate resin emulsion adhesives of different concentrations are diluted with water, and then a flame retardant paint thinner is applied. This goal is achieved by applying and curing a silicone-based filler.

The upper layer is coated with a different type of adhesive diluted with water, and then a silicone-based filler is applied. By applying a diluted solution, the insect's body has 9 legs, phosphorus powder, etc. does not come loose, and the viscosity of the adhesive prevents the insect from being attached. can produce insect specimens that are soft and not rigid.

(Example) It can be applied to insects in general (dragonflies, butterflies, cicadas, beetles), but this will be explained using the cabbage butterfly as an example. After collecting the cabbage butterfly in nature and spreading its wings to make a specimen, lacquer thinner S and styrene resin were mixed in a 1:1 ratio. Apply the mixture to the body and repeat twice (if you apply it once, there will be a problem with the hardness).
Lacquer thinner liquid S has strong permeability to the wings, and by mixing styrene resin with lacquer thinner liquid S, the wings and body can be hardened appropriately.

Then, a colorless and transparent vinyl acetate resin emulsion adhesive is applied to the outer body of the cabbage butterfly. The adhesive has a strong adhesive force and tightly adheres and fixes the epidermal layer of the butterfly's wings.

Next, by mixing different types of colorless and transparent vinyl acetate resin emulsion adhesive with water in a one-to-one ratio, apply it to the front body of the cabbage butterfly, making it easier to apply the final matting liquid. This process can also be applied to the back of the cabbage butterfly's body. In this state, the body of the cabbage butterfly remains strongly shiny, making it unsuitable as a butterfly specimen. Finally, in order to eliminate this luster, a mixture of 3 parts of flame-retardant paint thinner and 1 part of silicone filler is applied to the skin of the cabbage butterfly's body, thereby achieving the natural naturalness of the cabbage butterfly and its adhesive solidification. I can do what I want.
