Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the recognition and checking of the inner operational information of each CPU with one outer apparatus by connecting one microcomputer to the outer apparatus with separate serial communication in an automobile controller with plural microcomputers connected with serial communication. CONSTITUTION:A controller 100 for controlling an engine integrally is provided with plural mutually independent CPUs 1, 2. One CPU 1 is in charge of engine control (5), and the other CPU 2 is in charge of torque converter control (6) and cruise control (7). The CPUs 1, 2 are also formed to be capable of giving and receiving information mutually through their respective serial functions 8, 9. Another serial function 10 is further added to the CPU 1, and this serial function 10 is connected to the serial function 12 of an outer apparatus 11. In other words, the inner information and memory content of the CPU 2 is outputted to the outer apparatus 11 through the CPU 1 communicated with the outer apparatus 11.

を統括するマイコンに外部機器を接続してなることを特
徴とする内燃機関のエンジン情報読出し装置。 3、第1項記載の請求範囲において、少なくとも1個の
マイコンはエンジン制御機能を統括することを特徴とす
る内燃機関のエンジン情報読出し装置。
