Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts by integrally molding a curtain channel on a structure member disposed on the extended part to the window opening edge part of a curtain weir provided upward of a side window upper part and the window opening part. CONSTITUTION:One end of a cover member 2 for covering the mounting part of a shelf support 7 is extended to the frame member part forming the vehicle body side window opening part upper side, and a curtain channel 7 is integrally formed on the curved part and end part forming a curtain weir 2a. As the curtain channel 7 is integrally molded to the cover member 2, the installation of the curtain channel member as a single part is not required as in the past, resulting in a reduction in number of parts. As the cover member 2 has not only the curtain channel 7 but also the curtain weir 2 integrally formed thereon, the integral formation of the cover of a load-carrying platform 1, the curtain weir 2a, and the curtain channel 7 also contributes the reduction in number of parts. The curtain weir 2a and the curtain channel 7 can be set in determined positions only by mounting a shelf 1, and the number of working processes in manufacture can be largely reduced.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2. In the figure, l is a luggage rack installed above the side window opening of the vehicle body. The shelf unit covers the shelf support 4 that supports the load and the mounting portion of the shelf support 4, and also includes a cover member 2 for preventing the load from falling. It is composed of a front frame 5 that constitutes the front end of the shelf. Said cargo shelf support4. The cover member 2 and the front frame 5 are assembled in advance and attached to the frame members constituting the vehicle body by fixing 40 shelf supports with screws or the like. Note that the cover member 2 is provided with a working hole. As described above, one end of the cover member 2 is formed to cover the proximal end of the shelf support 4 and extend upward from the lower surface of the shelf so as to receive cargo. On the other hand, the other end of the cover member 2 is formed to extend to a frame member forming the upper side of the window opening on the vehicle body side, and a curtain groove 7 is integrally formed in the curved part that becomes the curtain kiss 21 and the end part. That is, the cover member 2 is an extruded light alloy member, and is installed so as to extend in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body. The shape of the cover member 2 is as follows:
The shape is such that a barrier 8 is provided between the mounting surface of the curtain groove 7 above the window opening on the side of the vehicle body to prevent the cargo shelf from being affected by distortion of the structure.

Reference numeral 3 denotes a curtain, which is supported by a curtain roller 8 movably fitted into the curtain groove 7 via hooks or the like. Incidentally, a protrusion 9 is formed on the edge of the curtain groove 7 to assist the relocation of the curtain roller 8. Reference numeral 10 indicates a window glass installed in a side window opening of the vehicle body.

In such a configuration, the situation at the time of manufacturing will be explained. As mentioned above, the cargo shelf l is pre-installed with the shelf supports 4. The high-performance member 2, front frame 5, etc. are assembled in advance, and this is attached to the frame member above the window entrance on the vehicle body side. At this time, since the curtain groove 7 of the cover member 2 is formed taking into consideration the gap 1IIS that provides relief between the cover member 2 and the heavy frame, it can be installed without interfering with the frame. By the way, the covering member 2 is assumed to have a strength capable of supporting the weight of supported members such as the curtain 3, or the force applied to the curtain 3 when a passenger operates the curtain 3, or due to an unexpected accident or mischief. The structure is such that the groove 7 portion is not fixed to the bone member. In addition, when the cover member 2 is made lighter and has a thinner plate thickness, it may be possible to fix it to the bone member with screws at a position inside the curtain groove 7.

By the way, the curtain roller 8 is fitted into the curtain groove 7 by providing a cut in a part of the curtain groove 7. Alternatively, it may be configured such that it is inserted from the longitudinal end and a stopper is inserted for each side window.

According to such a configuration, since the curtain groove 7 is integrally formed with the cover member 2, there is no need to attach the curtain groove member as a single item as in the conventional case, and the number of parts can be reduced. Moreover, the cover member 2 is not limited to the curtain groove 7 (
Since the curtain hook 2a is also formed in the body, the cover over the luggage shelf, the curtain kiss 21, and the curtain groove 7 are integrally formed, which leads to a reduction in the number of parts, and all that is needed is to attach the luggage shelf l. With this, the curtain hinges 21 and the curtain grooves 7 can be installed at predetermined positions, and the number of man-hours during manufacturing can be significantly reduced.

By the way, even when fixing the curtain groove 7 portion of the cover member 20 with screws, using the front cover member 2 leads to a reduction in man-hours when considering positioning of the curtain rail and holding during installation.

In addition, in the above-mentioned embodiment, an example was explained in which the curtain groove was integrally formed on the covering member of the luggage rack, but the present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiment. That is, the curtain groove may be formed integrally with the curtain kisser, and the curtain groove and the curtain kisser may be installed by attaching the member. In this case as well, the number of parts and man-hours can be reduced. Further, the same effect can be achieved by forming a curtain groove integrally with a structural member provided above the side window opening in the curtain support structure and extending through the vehicle body in the longitudinal direction.
