Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the connection process of a capacitor and an external wiring, and improve the connection state by installing a terminal plate wherein one end is fixed with a rivet penetrating a closing member, and the other end is bent almost parallel to an end surface of the closing member, and a fastener for a screw member or the like which is inserted into a through hole provided to the tip part of the terminal plate, and fixed. CONSTITUTION:One end of a terminal plate 9 is fixed to a closing member 5, and the other end-portion is bent so as to be parallel to the end surface of the closing member 5. In the tip part of the terminal plate 9, a through hole 11 is formed, into which the fastener of a screw member 4 or the like is inserted. A substrate 15 is arranged between the screw member 4 and the terminal plate 9, and connected electrically by tightening the screw member 4. Thereby, the tip part of the terminal 1 can be moved in the vertically inclined direction setting the bent part as a fulcrum. Since, e.g., a nut 10 to fix the screw member 4 is bonded to the terminal plate 10, the up and down movement of the terminal plate 9 is followed. As a result, errors in vertical direction in the wiring process are compensated by the buffering due to the up and down movements of the terminal plate 9 and the nut 10, and a desired connection state can be easily obtained.

A normal capacitor, for example a large electrolytic capacitor, has a capacitor element wound with electrode foil and electrolytic paper, which is housed in a bottomed cylindrical outer case, and the opening end of the outer case is made of Bakelite, elastic rubber, etc. It is sealed with a sealant. In order to lead the electrodes of the capacitor element to the outside, the sealing body is fixed with an external connection terminal consisting of a rivet penetrating the sealing body and a connecting portion fixed to the sealing body by the rivet.

In such large electrolytic capacitors, so-called screw terminals, in which a screw portion is formed on the terminal for external connection, are sometimes used in order to improve the connection state with the substrate. When wiring a capacitor with such a terminal structure, place a board with a through hole that matches the position of the terminal placed on the capacitor on the terminal, and insert a screw member into the through hole of the board and the screw part of the terminal. I'm tightening it up. By tightening this screw member, the capacitor and the board are fixed and electrically connected.

Incidentally, in recent years, automation has progressed in the wiring of electronic components to circuit boards and devices, and mounting is now being carried out using automatic mounting devices such as so-called robots. When connecting to a board using such an automatic mounting device, the arrangement of the screw members and the position of the screw terminal of the capacitor may not match, making the connection difficult. Conventionally, as a means to improve such inconveniences, for example, as in the device disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Application No. 60-137421 or No. 61-142429, external connection terminals have been provided with a movable but non-rotatable structure. It was considered to supplement the operational accuracy of the automatic mounting device by arranging a square nut in the state.

However, the position of the board and the terminal board of the capacitor depends on the vertical dimension of the capacitor body, the shape of the terminal board, the flat state of the board,
A slight deviation in the vertical direction may occur due to various factors such as the vertical dimensions of other adjacent electronic components and the accuracy of movement of the robot's operating arm.

As described above, in the terminal structure of a capacitor, the present invention includes a terminal plate whose one end is fixed by a rivet penetrating the sealing body and whose other end is bent almost parallel to the end surface of the sealing body, and the terminal plate of the terminal plate. It is characterized by consisting of a through hole provided at the tip, a fixing means formed in the through hole, and a fastener such as a screw member inserted through the through hole and fixed by the fixing means, so that external wiring can be avoided. Even if an automatic mounting device such as a robot is used to fix the capacitor to the terminal with a fastener such as a screw member, the capacitor may be damaged due to various factors such as the vertical dimension of the capacitor body, the shape of the terminal plate, and the movement accuracy of the robot's operating arm. The misalignment between the terminal and the board is compensated for by the flexure of the terminal board, making it easy to obtain the desired connection state.

Further, the fixing means formed in the through hole of the terminal plate is a nut joined to the tip of the terminal plate, or a spiral groove provided on the inner peripheral surface of the through hole at the tip of the terminal plate. Therefore, external wiring can be firmly fixed to the terminal using a screw member.

Furthermore, on the end surface of the sealing body that overlaps the through hole at the tip of the terminal board,
The feature is that a recess is formed that has a diameter larger than the diameter of the fastener such as a screw member, so the distance between the tip of the terminal board and the sealing body is smaller than the vertical dimension of the fastener that fixes the external wiring.
