Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明はインクジェットヘッドに関し、特に複数の金属
板を積層し、該積層板の前面にノズル列を形成したイン
クジェットヘッドに関する。
〔従来の技術〕
近年オフィスオートメーションの発達により事務所内で
高速、かつ高品位の印字を静粛に得たいという要求が高
まってきている。この要求に答えるべく各メーカレこお
いては、インクジェットヘッドの開発が行われている。
従来、この種のプリンタのヘッドは第２図に示すように
、フォトエツチング等の手法を用いて予めインク供給路
５を形成したサプライプレート４をベースプレート６に
て挟み込んで熱圧着をすることにより、積層体７を構成
し、前記積層体７の前面でのインク状態を均一化するた
めに、該前面を研摩加工することにより、インク供給路
５に連なるノズル部８を形成していた。
〔発明が解決しようとする課題〕
上述した従来のヘッドはノズル部形成のために、積層体
７の前面を研摩加工する必要があり、開口部に研摩剤が
侵入し、その流路をつまらせてしまう等の製造技術的に
困雅な面が多かった。
本発明の目的は前記課題を解決したインクジェットヘッ
ドを提供することにある。
〔課題を解決するための手段〕
前記目的を達成するため、本発明は複数のプレートを多
層に積層した積層体内にインク供給路を有するインクジ
ェットヘッドにおいて、前記インク供給路に連通ずるノ
ズル列を形成したノズルプレートを前記積層体の端面に
添着したものである。
〔実施例〕
以下、本発明の一実施例を図により説明する。
第１図は本発明の一実施例を示す斜視図である。
図において、フォトエツチング等の手法を用いて予めイ
ンク供給路５を形成したサプライプレート４をベースプ
レート６にて挟み込んで熱圧着することにより、積層体
７を形成する。
一方、ノズルプレート１の前面にフォトエツチング等を
用いて微細（直径約５０μｓ）なノズル列２を形成し、
該ノズルプレート１のノズル列２を積層体７のインク供
給路Ｓに連通させて該ノズルプレート１を積層体７の前
面に添着する。尚、ノズルプレート１及びベースプレー
ト６には位置決めのために位置決め基準穴３が設けられ
ている。
〔発明の効果〕
以上説明したように本発明はインク噴出部であるノズル
プレートをインク供給路とは別部材にすることにより、
ノズル列の穴径やピッチの管理が容易になり、結果とし
て印字品位を向上できる。
またノズルプレートのインク噴出部の端面におけるイン
ク状態を均一にするための各種表面処理（親水コート、
撥水コートなど）をインク供給路に影響を与えることな
く１行うことができるという効果を有する。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. （１）複数のプレートを多層に積層した積層体内にイン
    ク供給路を有するインクジェットヘッドにおいて、前記
    インク供給路に連通するノズル列を形成したノズルプレ
    ートを前記積層体の端面に添着したことを特徴とするイ
    ンクジェットヘッド。
