(Prior Art) When cutting hard materials such as stone or steel, an endless diamond tip saw is used. A diamond chip saw has a large number of diamond chips welded at appropriate intervals to the edge of an endless blade, and is superior in terms of sharpness as a saw for cutting hard materials. Due to the awkward position of the diamond tip, considerable problems occurred in terms of cutting efficiency and the life of the saw.

That is, when the diamond tip 1 is installed in alignment with the blade 2 as shown in Fig. 1A, the cutting path 3 of the material A to be cut, such as stone, is approximately the same width as the diamond tip. However, if the diamond tip 1 is installed awkwardly on the blade 2, the width of the cutting path 3 is the outermost part of the diamond tip 1. Since the width is sandwiched between the loci of the part, the amount of cutting increases by the wider width, and since not all diamond chips can act on the cutting in the same way, the cutting efficiency increases by that amount. It declines.

Furthermore, since the ridge P of the diamond chip that protrudes outwardly comes into contact with the cut surface 4 and scrapes this surface, the cut surface 4 loses its flatness, reducing the commercial value of the object A. Since the edge P of the diamond tip 1a is also worn, the sharpness of the saw is significantly reduced. In addition, the diamond chip 1a generates a force that tries to escape in the lateral direction with respect to the traveling direction due to the resistance force when the ridge P contacts the cutting surface, so this force causes the blade 2 to violently move sideways. As a result, the blade 2 cracks at the part where the diamond chip 1 is attached. Of course, the diamond chip 1 is aligned and attached to the blade 2, but the welded part B of the blade is inevitably distorted by the heat during welding.
Moreover, this part becomes extremely brittle. This part B
After welding, diamond chips are annealed and then roller pressed to recover from thermal distortion and thermal embrittlement. However, since this part stretches during annealing, considerable distortion remains and the diamond chip 1. As shown in Figure 3, the body is biased to either the left or right side, and the body becomes weak, and the above-mentioned problems still cannot be completely resolved.

Furthermore, a method of directly welding the diamond chips to the blade 2 has also been attempted. This method does not cause the above-mentioned problems due to annealing, but as in the case of welding, the diamond chip 1 is fixed integrally with the blade 2 and that part of the blade 2 does not deform at all. Since it is bent at the base, it has the disadvantage of being prone to cracking. As mentioned above, diamond tip saws have problems because the diamond tip 1 is integrally fixed to the blade 2 by a method such as welding. However, despite this, conventional methods such as welding are not suitable for cutting. This is because the cutting resistance at the time of cutting acts as a strong braking force on the diamond chip, so it was thought that it was necessary to attach it firmly in this way in order to resist that force.

(Means for Solving the Problem) As a result of research into a method for attaching a diamond chip to a blade by a method other than fixing means such as welding, and eliminating problems caused by fixing it by welding, the present inventor has found that: First of all, when cutting stone, etc., a relatively large cutting resistance acts on a diamond tip saw, but the cutting resistance to each individual diamond chip is quite small, and the cutting resistance applied to the blade over the entire length of the diamond tip is quite small. A strong adhesion force that would require welding is not required; if two mounting pieces are provided protruding from the diamond chip in advance and the blade is sandwiched between these mounting pieces, the mounting piece and the blade can be spot welded. It is important to note that the attachment force of the diamond chip is sufficient at this level, and that the diamond chip does not necessarily need to be fixed to the blade, but it is better to have some play between it and the blade so that the blade does not lose its flexibility. He discovered that there are some cases where it is even more preferable, and based on this, he invented a method for attaching diamond chips to a blade in an extremely simple manner.

(Example) Hereinafter, the present invention will be specifically described based on the drawings. First, two mounting pieces 12, 12 are provided protruding from the diamond chip 11. This diamond chip 11 is similar to a normal one of this type, and is formed by embedding a large number of diamond grains in a sintered metal, and the mounting pieces 12, 12 attach the diamond chip 11 to the blade 13. The diamond chips 11 are used as intermediaries, and the diamond chips 11 are arranged at intervals slightly wider than the thickness of the blade 13.

As a method of protruding the mounting pieces 12, 12, for example, when molding the diamond chip 11, the mounting pieces 12, 12 are molded integrally with this (fourth
(see Figure 4B), or by bending a metal plate into a U-shape and welding the top surface to the diamond chip 11 to use it as a mounting piece (see Figure 4B). Next, the attachment pieces 12, 12 are sandwiched at desired positions on the blade 13, and thus the attachment pieces are attached to the blade 13. Since the contact area between the mounting pieces 12, 12 and the blade 13 is much larger than when attaching the diamond chip directly to the blade, when attaching it to the blade 13, a synthetic resin adhesive such as an epoxy resin adhesive is used. Depending on the size of the diamond chip 11 and the type of material A to be cut, it is fixed to the blade at one or several points near the center of the attachment piece. In addition to bonding with a synthetic resin adhesive, the mounting pieces 12, 12 are made of a material that can be spot welded to the blade 13 as a means of fixing the blade 13 without causing thermal distortion or thermal embrittlement. If so, spot weld it.

Further, Fig. 5 shows another method of mounting, in which the mounting piece 12 is fixed to the blade 13 with rivets 14, and Fig. 6 shows a method in which the mounting piece 12 is fixed to the blade 13 by punching. Indicated. In this case, a hole 15 is pre-drilled in the blade 13 at the position to be punched, but the punching procedure is to insert the blade between the mounting pieces 12, 12, and then punch the hole from both sides. Alternatively, if the mounting piece 12 has elasticity, it is punched in advance at a predetermined position, and then the blade 13 is inserted into it to align the hole 15 with the punched portion 16. That is, when using the above method, holes 15 may be drilled at relatively narrow intervals around the entire circumference of the blade 13, and the diamond chips 11 may be attached to the holes selected at the site according to the working conditions. It is. (See Figure 7). In addition, whether the punched portion 16 is further spot welded or

By the way, when attaching the mounting pieces by spot welding, riveting, punching, or mounting as described above, the distance between the two mounting pieces 12, 12 is made slightly wider than the thickness of the blade 13, and only the part to be fixed is locally attached. The thickness is narrowed to approximately the same as the thickness of the blade. Of course, in this case, it is preferable that the mounting pieces 12, 12 be fixed to the blade 13 at one location near the center of the mounting pieces or at two locations, one at the front and the other at the rear. That is, in this case, as shown in FIG. 9, play is generated between the mounting pieces 12 and the blade 13 at both ends of the mounting pieces 12, 12, so that the blade 13 is not wound or stretched around the tire of the cutting device. When installed and curved, the mounting piece 12,1
The blade 13 curves along the circumference of the tire with respect to the mounting piece at both ends of the mounting piece 2, so that the blade 13 does not bend and crack near both ends of the mounting piece.

(Effects of the Invention) As described in detail above, the present invention provides a pair of mounting pieces protruding from a diamond chip at an interval slightly wider than the thickness of the blade, which are sandwiched at a predetermined position on the blade, and then the mounting pieces are It is fixed at the center part of the mounting piece by spot welding, riveting, punching, or adhesive fixing means, and there is some play between it and the blade at both ends of the mounting piece. Since the blade is not heated excessively, the blade does not become distorted or brittle due to heat, so the diamond chip does not become unusable. Moreover, the mounting piece is integrated with the blade and does not stick to it, so that both the blades are not heated. Since there is a slight play between the blades, the blade does not lose its flexibility, and even if the blade is wound and stretched around the tires of a cutting device and becomes bent, the blade will not crack. . Therefore, it is possible to exert the original cutting ability of a diamond tip saw and to significantly extend its life.
