Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove a dirt attracted onto a surface with a static electricity without damaging a magnetic disk by providing an air blowoff hole, an ionizer provided in the route of a clean air generator and a vacuum pump for a suction from an air suction hole. CONSTITUTION:An air cylinder 6 having a guide is moved, an arm 5 is moved to the inner circle part of a magnetic disk 10, and next, the magnetic disk 10 is rotated. Upper and lower respective three sheets of magnets 3a-3c and 4a-4c are fitted to the chip of an arm 4, and by the magnetic field, the magnetic disk 10 is demagnetized. When a compressed air ionized through an ionizer 7 is fed from a clean air generator 8 to blowoff holes 1a and 1b, the dirt attracted onto the surface of the magnetic disk 10 is blown off, and the dirt blown off and the compressed air are sucked from suction holes 2a and 2b and fed to a vacuum pump 9. In such a way, when the arm 4 is moved in the outer peripheral direction of the magnetic disk 10, the demagnetization and the removal of the dirt can be executed on the whole surface of the magnetic disk 10.

Since the conventional magnetic disk cleaning device described above does not have the function of demagnetizing the magnetic disk, it is necessary to provide a separate degaussing mechanism to clean the magnetic disk that has become contaminated by the surrounding magnetic field. The magnetic disk cleaning device of the present invention includes an arm having an air blowing hole and an air suction hole on opposing surfaces of a U-shaped tip, and an N'S hole on the U-shaped tip surface of the arm.
three magnets each arranged in such a way that their poles face each other and the adjacent poles are different; an actuator that moves the arm horizontally to the center of the magnetic disk; and a cleaner that sends clean compressed air to the air outlet. The air generating device includes an air generator, an ionizer located in a path between the air blowing hole and the clean air generating device, and a vacuum pump for sucking air from the air suction hole.
