Conventionally, for attaching this frame to a window glass, a method has been generally adopted in which a frame formed by extrusion molding or the like is adhered to or fitted into the periphery of the window glass. However, with this method, the rectilinear frame is bent to fit the peripheral shape of the window glass, which makes installation difficult when the corners are wrinkled or the window glass has a complex shape. There were problems such as:

However, in the above method, when the glass is placed in the mold, it is necessary to firmly clamp the core and cavity, but there is a problem in that the glass is likely to break due to the force of this clamping. The problem was particularly severe when the glass had been bent.In general, when bending glass, it is difficult to improve the processing accuracy, and individual variations occur. For this reason, when glass is bent, When placed in a mold and tightened by the core and cavity, stress is applied to the glass, leading to breakage. In recent years, glass has been bent into large bending angles or extremely complex shapes as automotive window glass. However, this type of glass is particularly easy to break, and the economic loss is also large when it breaks, so it has been difficult to apply the above method. In the conventional method of attaching a frame body such as a pre-formed gasket, there is a large difference in the shape of the gasket and the glass, and it is extremely difficult to fit them perfectly. In contrast, the present inventors have He came up with a new method of manufacturing glass with a gasket that solved the above problems by molding the frame using a dummy glass body to which the frame should be attached, and has already filed a patent application in 1986-250.
The application was filed as Specification No. 633.

[Function] In the present invention, as described above, since a dummy body having at least the peripheral portion in the same shape as the window glass is used, there is no possibility that the window glass will be damaged by force when tightened in the mold.
Also, the gasket molded to the dummy will fit snugly around the window when installed in the window. Therefore, even if the window glass is bent, it is possible to prevent damage due to bending, and to provide a frame such as a gasket that fits snugly around the periphery.
Moreover, since the frame has a recess for adhesive, it is possible to bond the frame and glass with a sufficient amount of adhesive, making it easy to apply the adhesive, and this recess also functions as a reservoir for excess adhesive. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the adhesive from extruding, improving the adhesion and maintaining the aesthetic appearance.

A dummy body 9 is used that has at least the same shape at its peripheral edge. The dummy body 9 is made of a material that is easy to mold and durable for repeated use, such as metal such as aluminum. As for its shape, it is necessary that the peripheral edge where the frame body 2 such as a gasket or molding (hereinafter explained using the molding as an example) is the same as the window glass l, but the other parts are formed by the mold 7. It may have any shape as long as it can be placed inside the container. In this embodiment, in order to reduce weight, the center portion is cut out to form a plate. In addition, when the material of the dummy body 8 has high adhesiveness with the molding 2,
It is preferable to apply a mold release agent in advance to at least the surface of the dummy body 9 that will come into contact with the molding. Of course, the template agent is also applied to the inner surface of the mold 7 if necessary.

It is possible to achieve both adhesion and aesthetics. Furthermore, even if a molding defect occurs in the frame, expensive glass can be prevented from being wasted. The dummy body is placed in a mold, and a frame body such as a gasket or molding having a fixing device is formed by injection molding, rim molding, etc., and this frame body is removed from the dummy body and attached to the glass. Therefore, damage to the glass can be prevented, and the frame can be attached to fit snugly to the peripheral shape of the glass.
