Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily mount a protecting cover in a simple structure by forming an outer peripheral surface of said protecting cover of a member having low thermal conductivity and fixing said protecting cover by an elastic force generated through elastic deformation of a part of said protecting cover. CONSTITUTION:A radiator 1 of a head is covered with a net-like protecting cover 2 having low thermal conductivity. Therefore, it can be prevented, without deteriorating the radiating property, that a user inadvertently touches the surface of the head at high temperatures. An end of a fixed hook 3 of the protecting cover 1 is inserted in a grooved portion between a first fin 4 and a second fin 5 of the radiator 1. The protecting cover 2 is guided to slide downward along the grooved portion, so that the fixed hook 3 is engaged with an engaging portion 6 of the radiator 1. The grooved portion of the radiator 1 is formed tapered, having a different depth between upper and lower portions thereof. Since the groove at the upper portion is deep, the protecting cover 2 is readily guided by the tapered groove only by being pressed downward, and the fixed hook 3 expands right and left to be smoothly engaged with the engaging portion 6. When the fixed hook 3 is engaged with the engaging portion 6 of the radiator 1, the fixed hook 3 is pressed to the radiator 1 by the elastic force, whereby a positive fixing force is obtained.

Some impact dot heads are fitted with rubber or plastic covers, primarily to prevent noise reduction. The conventional method for attaching these covers is to deform the cover into a bag-like shape to cover the head when the cover is made of rubber. Additionally, the plastic cover was attached to the head with screws or adhesive.

When attaching a cover, conventional rubber covers require pulling and unfolding the entire cover to attach it, making it difficult to assemble. Further, the conventional method of mounting using screws not only has poor workability, but also requires drilling screw holes on the outer peripheral surface of the head, resulting in high costs. When fixing with adhesive, it takes time to dry and obtain the desired fixing force, which significantly reduces productivity.

As shown in the figure, the radiator 1 of the impact dot head is covered with a protective cover 2 having a mesh shape and low thermal conductivity, so as to prevent accidental contact with a high-temperature surface without compromising the heat dissipation characteristics. A suitable material for the protective cover 2 is synthetic resin such as polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) or polyethylene terephthalate (PET). Figure 2 shows how to attach the protective cover. Installation is performed by covering the heat sink 1 with the protective cover 2 from above. First, insert the tip of the fixing claw part 3 of the protective cover 2 into the groove between the first fin 4 and the second fin 5 of the radiator 1, use this groove as a guide groove to slide the protective cover 2 downward, and then The part 3 is attached by engaging the fixing hook part 6 of the radiator 1. As shown in Figure 3, the guide groove of the heatsink 1 has a tapered shape with different groove depths on the top and bottom, and the upper groove is deeper and can be guided by the tapered portion simply by pushing the protective cover 2 downward. The fixed claw part 3 spreads to the left and right so that the fixed claw part 6 can be smoothly engaged with the fixed claw part 6.

When the fixed claw part 3 engages with the fixed claw part 6 of the radiator 1,
The fixing claw portion 3 is pressed against the radiator 1 by the elastic force, and a reliable fixing force is obtained. As shown in FIG. 4, positioning in the front-rear direction is performed by sandwiching the radiation fins 9 of the heat radiator 1 between positioning claws A7 and B8 provided at the lower part of the upper surface of the protective cover 2. At this time, if the positioning pawl B8 is tilted in the opposite direction to the positioning pawl A7, more reliable positioning can be achieved due to the elasticity of the positioning pawl B8 when engaging with the heat radiation fins.
