一般にインパクトドツトヘッドにおいて、ドツトワイヤ
を駆動する駆動部は電磁マグネットを利用しているもの
が主流となっており長時間の印字を行なうとヘッドが発

とさずに高温の表面に誤って触れることの無いような構

レンテレフタレート(PBT)あるいはポリエチレンテ
レフタレート(PET)等の合成樹脂が適している。保
護カバーを取り付ける様子を第2図に示す。取り付けは
放熱器1の上方から保護カバー2をかぶせて行なう。ま
ず、保護カバー2の固定爪部3先端を放熱器1の第1フ
イン4と第2フイン5の間の溝部に挿入し、この溝をガ
イド溝として保護カバー2を下方にすべらせて固定爪部
3を放熱器1の固定爪掛は部6に係合させて取り付ける
。放熱器1のガイド溝部は第3図に示すようにテーパ形
状となって溝深さが上下で異なっており、上方は溝深さ
が深く保護カバー2を下方に押し込むだけでテーパ部に
案内され固定爪部3が左右に広がりスムーズに固定爪掛
