Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a marking film which breaks only partly even by the appli cation of abrupt external force and is capable of keeping the effect over a long period by embrittling a vinyl chloride film by proper electron ray irradia tion and applying a tacky adhesive layer on one surface of the vinyl chloride film. CONSTITUTION:The objective film is produced by printing or coating a surface of a colored or transparent vinyl chloride film 1 with an ink or paint 2 curable by electron ray according to the need, irradiating the film with electron ray at a dose of 3-10Mrad and applying a tacky adhesive layer 3 on one surface of the irradiated film.

Recently, in place of conventional painting, colored marking films with adhesive are used for marking automobiles, motorcycles, various signboards, etc.
It is used for decoration of window glasses, identification purposes, etc. However, when these marking films are used, they produce clear and clean markings, decorations, etc., which are extremely effective on Noh cars. Peeling may progress in some areas, and eventually the entire piece may peel off and lose its function.

The problem to be solved by the present invention is that most or all of the attached marking film does not peel off due to undesired external force, and only the part to which the external force is applied is separated from the other parts. The object of the present invention is to provide a marking film whose parts remain intact and its function as a marking film is not lost, and a method for manufacturing the same.

In order to solve the above question, the inventors carried out various studies and found that by irradiating the vinyl chloride film, which is the base material of the marking film, with a moderate amount of electron beam, the marking function was retained except for 11. , but by weakening the nuclear film! ! J! ! The inventors discovered that the problem can be achieved and completed the present invention.

That is, in order to solve the problem, the marking film of the present invention consists of a colored or transparent vinyl chloride film that has been weakened by being irradiated with an electron beam of 3 to 10 megarads, and an adhesive layer coated on one side of the film. It is characterized by

The vinyl chloride film used here may be one that has been widely used for marking films and is not particularly special. Furthermore, the adhesive and release paper may be of any material as long as their physical properties do not change when irradiated with an electron beam of 5 to 10 megarads, and the adhesive release paper used in conventional usage can be used as is in the present invention. It is clear that

When the above-mentioned patterns, characters, symbols, or colors are applied, this can be achieved by printing an electron beam printing type ink or paint on the surface of the film, for example, by gravure printing, or by appropriately coating it by known means. After printing or coating in this manner, the film is irradiated with an electron beam to weaken the film and harden and dry the ink or paint. After that, an adhesive may be applied or release paper may be applied, or the adhesive and release paper may be applied first and then printed, coated, or electron beam cured with electron beam curable ink or paint. Irradiation may also be performed.

A transparent vinyl chloride film with a thickness of 30 μm is coated with an electron beam curable paint having the composition shown in Table 1 below using a coater to a film thickness of 5 μm.
After applying the coating to .mu.m, it was irradiated with an electron beam of 5 megarads, then an adhesive was applied, and a release paper was further laminated to obtain a release paper and a marking film with an adhesive. This configuration is shown in cross section in FIG.
