【考案の詳細な説明】
(産業上の利用分野)
本考案はエンジンのオイルポンプ取付装置の改

(従来技術)
エンジンのオイルポンプ(トロコイドタイプ)
は通常そのポンプシヤフトの先端部に設けた被駆
動ギアをカム軸に設けた駆動ギアと噛み合わせる
ようにエンジン本体内に装着されている。(例え
ば実開昭57−139609号公報)
上記オイルポンプの被駆動ギアがエンジン本体
内に組み込まれるためには、オイルポンプシヤフ
トの先端部から軸心に沿う延長上のエンジンケー
スに被駆動ギアを挿入するための開口部が設けら
れており、その被駆動ギアの取付後は該開口部が

(考案の構成)
上記の目的を達するための本考案は、オイルポ
ンプシヤフトの先端部のドリブンギアをエンジン
本体に設けたカム軸のドライブギアに噛み合わせ
るため、エンジン本体内に上記ドリブンギアを挿
入するための開口部が、エンジン本体を形成する
エンジンケースの上記先端部側に設けられたオイ
ルポンプ取付装置において、上記カム軸のドライ
ブギアを、カム軸先端に取り付けられるカムプー
リ近傍に形成するとともに、該ドリブンギアの上
記先端部側に軸心に沿う支軸部を突設し、かつ上
記開口部に該支軸部を軸支する軸受部材を嵌合さ
せて設け、該軸受部材には、タイミングベルトカ
バーとともにタイミングベルト室を画成するタイ
ミングベルトカバー合わせ面を形成したフランジ

て安定したオイルポンプの歯車伝達が行なわれ
る。また、上記の如く潤滑油路がオイルポンプシ
ヤフト4の駆動まわりに十分に配設されているた
め更に円滑なオイルポンプ駆動が期待される。勿
論ドリブンギア6のメンテナンスは軸受部材11
を取りばずすだけで済みエンジンケース10のシ
ール性も同時に図れる。また軸受部材11にフラ
ンジ部17を一体形成したため、部品点数の削減
が図られるとともに、軸受部材11の組付け時
に、フランジ部17は軸受材15を開口部9に嵌
合することによつて容易に位置決めされ、フラン
ジ部17のタイミングベルトカバー合わせ面16
がシリンダーヘツド1等のタイミングベルトカバ
ー合わせ面と容易かつ確実に面合わせされて、シ
ール性の良好なタイミングベルト室を画成するこ

以上説明した本考案によれば、ドリブンギアの
先端側に支軸部を突設すると共に該ドリブンギア
の挿入用開口部に上記支軸部を軸支する軸受部材
を設けているため、狭いスペース内で、ドリブン
ギアを含む細長いオイルポンプシヤフトを両端支
持することができ、上記シヤフト等がたわむよう
なことが無くオイルポンプの作動が確実となり、
ポンプの寿命にも好影響を与えるとともに、メン
テナンスを容易にすることができる。さらに、軸
受部材自体にタイミングベルトカバー合わせ面を
形成したことにより、部品点数の削減を果すとと
もに、このタイミングベルトカバー合わせ面は軸
受部材を取り付けることでシリンダーヘツド等に
形成されているタイミングベルトカバー合わせ面
と確実に一致させることができて組み立てが容易
