【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は金属材料の冷間塑性加工用水系潤滑処理液およ
び処理方法に関するものである。
更に詳しく述べるならば、本発明は、鋼材・ステンレス
鋼材・チタン系金属材・銅系金属材・アルミ系金属材な
どの金属材料を冷間塑性加工(鍛造・伸管・伸線など)
するために用いられる水系潤滑処理液(以下水系潤滑処
理液と略称する)及び、化成皮膜を有する金属材料を、
冷間塑性加工するために水系潤滑処理液で処理する方法
に関するものである。
〔従来の技術〕
金属材料の冷間塑性加工のための従来の水系潤滑処理液
としては、例えば二硫化モリブデン又はグラファイトな
どの固体潤滑剤と、無段バインダーおよび有機バインダ
ーから選ばれた一種又は−種以上と、界面活性剤とを含
むものが知られている。また比較的に軽度の冷間塑性加
工の際は、油気のない金属材料の表面に直接水系潤滑処
理液を接触させ、次いで乾燥して固体潤滑皮膜を形成さ
せる方法が知られており、強加工度の冷間塑性加工の際
は、金属材料の表面に化成皮膜を形成させた後、その表
面を水系潤滑処理液に接触させ、乾燥するか、或は固体
潤滑粉末を付着させ化成皮膜上に固体潤滑皮膜を形成さ
せる方法が採用されている。しかし、固体潤滑剤を粉末
状で使用する場合、その粉層により作業環境が悪化する
等の問題があり、作業性を考えた場合、これを水系処理
液として使用するのが最も好ましい。しかし、既存の水
系固体潤滑処理液は、処理後放置しておくと被処理金属
材料に錆が発生する等の欠点がある。
上記いずれの場合も、従来の処理剤は潤滑性能が安定せ
ず、かつ不十分であり、しばしば焼き付きかじりなどの
問題を起こすという問題点がある。
〔発明が解決しようとする課題〕
本発明は、従来の金属材料冷間塑性加工用水系潤滑処理
液および処理方法の問題点、すなわち金属材料に錆を発
生することがなく、作業性が良好で、金属材料との密着
性が良好で、潤滑性能の高い水系潤滑処理液、および、
このような水系潤滑処理液を用いる処理方法の提供を課
題とするものである。
〔課題を解決するための手段〕
本発明の金属材料の冷間塑性加工用水系潤滑処理液は、
50〜400 g / 1の固体潤滑剤と、l〜40g
/nの界面活性剤と、チタン濃度として10ppm以上
のコロイド状チタン化合物と、水とを含むことを特徴と
するものである。
本発明の水系潤滑処理液は、上記成分に加えて、更に5
〜150g/I!の無機バインダーおよび有機バインダ
ーから選ばれた少なくとも1種を含んでいてもよい。
また、本発明の、金属材料の冷間塑性加工のための水系
潤滑処理方法は、化成皮膜により被覆された金属材料の
表面を、上記本発明の水系潤滑処理液のいづれかにより
処理することを特徴とするものである。
本発明の水系潤滑処理液に用いられる固体潤滑剤は、例
えば、二硫化モリブデン、グラファイト、二硫化タング
ステン、ふっ化黒釦、ちっ化はう素、及びタルクなどか
ら選ばれた、少なくとも一種類の化合物からなるもので
ある。
処理液中の固体潤滑剤の含有量は、50〜400 g 
/lであり、100〜150g/Aであることが好まし
い。この固体潤滑剤の含有量が50 g / 1未満の
ときは、金属材料表面における固体潤滑皮膜の形成が不
充分となり易く、逆に400 g / nを越えて添加
しても、潤滑効果が飽和し性能向上が期待出来ず、かつ
水系潤滑処理液のコストが高くなるという不都合を生ず
る。
本発明の水系潤滑処理液において、界面活性剤が、固体
潤滑剤を水に分散させるために加えられるが、その種類
に格別の限定はない。一般に非イオン系界面活性剤とし
てポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテル類、ポリオキシ
エチレンアルキルフェニルエーテル類、ポリオキシエチ
レンアルキルエステル類、ポリオキシエチレンソルビタ
ンアルキルエステル類等が用いられる。陰イオン系界面
活性剤としては、脂肪酸塩、硫酸エステル塩、スルホン
酸塩、りん酸エステル塩、ジチオりん酸エステル塩など
が挙げられる。また陽イオン系界面活性剤としては、脂
肪族ア【ン塩、第四級アンモニウム塩等が挙げられる。
また、両性界面活性剤としては、ア〔)酸型及びヘタイ
ン型のカルボン酸塩、硫酸エステル塩、スルホン酸塩及
びりん酸エステル塩などが挙げられる。
本発明の水系潤滑処理液中における界面活性剤の含有量
は1〜40g/f、好ましくは5〜10g/Eであり、
この含有量を固体潤滑剤の含有量に応して1曽滅させる
ことが好ましい。界面活性剤の含有量がIg/A未満の
場合、処理液中における固体潤滑剤の温潤が不十分にな
り易く、また、40g/lより大量に用いられても、そ
の効果が著るしく向上することはない。
本発明の水系潤滑処理液に用いられるコロイト状チタン
化合物としては、例えば硫酸とチタンの化合物又は、り
ん酸とチタンの化合物等を苛性ソーダ等で中和して得ら
れた白濁液が挙げられる。
コロイド状チタンの、水系潤滑処理液中の含有量は、チ
タン濃度として10ppm以上であり、50ppm以上
であることが好ましい。コロイド状チタン化合物の含有
率が、10ppm未満のときは、コロイド状チタン化合
物添加による潤滑性能の向上効果が不明瞭になる。従っ
てコロイド状チタン化合物の含有率を10ppm以上に
することにより、得られる水系潤滑処理液の潤滑性向上
効果は、コロイド状チタン化合物の含有率の増大ととも
に増大する。従って、本発明の水系潤滑処理液における
コロイド状チタン化合物の含有率に格別の上限値はなく
、水系潤滑処理液の調製が可能な限り高含有率とするこ
とができる。
本発明の水系潤滑処理液に消泡剤および/又は防錆添加
剤などを添加して使用してもよい。
本発明の水系潤滑処理液は、上記成分に加えて、バイン
ダーを含んでいてもよい。このバインダーは、無機バイ
ンダーおよび有機バインダーから選ばれた少なくとも1
種からなるものである。このようなバインダーの添加に
より水系潤滑処理液の性能を更に向上させることができ
る。
無機バインダーは、本発明に有効である限り、その種類
に格別の限定はないが下記化合物を包含するものである

lBsOa・HJbO+。・H2BBO0などのアルカ
リ金属塩、アルカリ土類金属塩及びアンモニウム塩 す、りん酸塩 II I P Oa・1lPO3・H4F 206・1
1ffP(h・u4pzos・HPO□・)hPO□・
HaP30q及びポリりん酸、例えばH4P2O,・)
l’5h010  ・)Is、P40+3などの酸のア
ルカリ金属塩、アルカリ土類金属塩及びアンモニウム塩
C1けい酸塩 一般弐Mho・xSiO□の塩、 〔但し、Mはアルカリ金属またはアルカリ土類金属を表
わし、Xは1〜5の正の整数を表わす。〕有機バインダ
ーも、それが本発明に有効である限り格別の限定はなく
、既知のものから選択することができるが、水溶性高分
子化合物を用いることが好ましい。このような水溶性高
分子化合物としては、デンプン・海藻・植物粘質物・動
物性タンパク・発酵粘質などのような天然高分子材料ミ
、デンプン質材料、およびセルロース材料などから得ら
れる半合成高分子材料、およびPVP、  PEGPV
Aなどの合成高分子材料などを用いることができる。
本発明の水系潤滑処理液中における上記バインダー成分
の含有量は、5〜150g//であり、10〜50g/
lであることが好ましく、一般に固体潤滑剤の含有量に
応して設定される。バインダー成分の含有量が5g/1
未満のときは、固体潤滑皮膜の金属材料面に対する結合
力が不十分であり、また、それが150g/6より多く
しても、固体潤滑皮膜と金属材料面との結合力が更に強
くなるわけではなく、却って、水系潤滑処理液の粘度が
過度に高くなり、そのため金属材料表面に対する固体潤
滑皮膜の付着量が過多となって型詰まりの原因になるな
どの不都合を生ずる。
本発明の上記水系潤滑処理液は、従来の方法によって、
所定量の上記成分を、水中に分散、溶解することによっ
て1用型することができる。
本発明において、化成皮膜により被覆されている金属材
料表面が、本発明の上述の水系潤滑処理)仮により処理
される。
金属材料上の化成皮膜の種灯1に特に制限はないが、一
般に、金属材料の種類に応して従来慣用の化成皮膜、例
えばりん酸亜鉛皮膜・しゅう酸鉄皮膜・亜酸化銅皮膜・
ふっ化アルミニウム皮膜・ふっ化チタン皮膜等を挙げる
ことができる。
本発明の水系潤滑処理f夜は、含有成分が比較的に低濃
度の場合には、そのまま処理液として使用することがで
きるが、高濃度の場合には金属素材の種類、冷間塑性加
工の種類・加工度などに応して、そのまま使用するか、
又はこれを適量の水にて希釈して使用すればよい。本発
明の水系潤滑処理液は、通常漫消法により金属材料に適
用されるが、その際は常温〜80℃の任意の温度に維持
される。水系潤滑処理液の温度を上げれば、金属材料の
蓄熱により表面に付着した潤滑剤の乾燥性が向上するの
で、−船釣には加熱して使用されるが、その際は水系潤
滑処理液の粘度管理が必要であり、このため、水系潤滑
処理液の補給に加えて適性濃度に維持するための水分の
補給が必要である。
本発明の水系潤滑処理液による潤滑処理工程は一般に下
記のように行われる。これらの工程、条件は金属素材の
種類・表面状態、冷間塑性加工の種類・加工強度などに
応して選択される。
■脱脂−水洗−本発明水系潤滑処理一乾燥■脱脂−水洗
一酸洗一水洗一木発明水系潤滑処理−乾燥 (酸洗は錆・スケールの除去のために行う)■脱脂−水
洗−酸洗一水洗一化成処理一水洗一本発明水系潤滑処理
一乾燥 ■脱脂−水洗−化成処理一水洗一本発明水系潤滑処理一
乾燥 (但し、脱脂工程は必要のある場合にのみ行う)上記の
水系潤滑処理工程において、金属材料の表面又はその化
成皮膜表面に固体潤滑皮膜が形成され、その潤滑皮膜中
のコロイド状チタン化合物微粒子と、固体潤滑剤の相乗
作用効果によって、優れた潤滑効果を発渾するのである
。また、錆発生原因成分へのコロイド状チタン化合物の
吸着により、金属表面の防錆性を高める作用効果をも合
わせ有するものである。
〔実施例〕
以下に、本発明の水系潤滑処理液および処理方法を、下
記実施例により更に説明する。
1〜12および ′ l〜8 実施例1〜12および比較例1〜8の各々において、第
1表に示す金属材料について、下記工程の処理を施した
脱脂−水洗一酸洗一水洗一(化成処理)−水系潤滑処理
一乾燥 脱脂工程においては、金属材料に、20g/nのファイ
ンクリーナー4360 (脱脂剤の商標、日本パー力ラ
イジング社製)を含む処理液中で、70℃、10分間の
処理を施した。
各水洗工程においては、金属材料に、水道水流水により
R,T2O秒の処理を施した。
酸洗および化成処理工程においては、第1表記載の処理
を施した。
潤滑処理工程においては、第2表記載組成を有する潤滑
剤を用い、第2表記載の条件で処理を施した。
乾燥工程は、熱風乾燥器を用い、120℃、30分間の
条件で実施した。

滑性能を、後方穿孔試験(m材)および伸線試験(チタ
ン材〉により評価し、またその防錆性を恒温恒湿発錆試
験により評価した。
上記各試験の使用試験機、試験条件、および評価方法を
第3,4および5表に示す。
第3表、後方穿孔試験 注:*1 ・・・パンチ加工品のカップ内壁面にたてすし状のかじ
り疵が発生しないで加工 できる最大穿孔深さ、この数値が大き い程潤滑性が良好である。

恒温恒湿発錆試験 各実施例および比較例の上記試験結果を、第6゜7およ
び8表に示す。

炭素鋼後方穿孔試験 第7表、ステンレス鋼後方穿孔試験 第8表、チタン材の伸線試験 第6表の炭素鋼冷間鍛造試験すなわち後方穿孔試験の結
果から明らかなように、コロイド状チタン化合物を使用
した実施例1〜7は、それを使用しない比較例1〜4と
比較して、著しく潤滑性能が向上している。実施例6と
比較例1の比較では、従来の水系潤滑処理液よりも本発
明の水系潤滑処理液が優れており、軽度の加工には十分
耐え得ることが解る。更に実施例2と比較例2〜3の比
較において、バインダーを含む、本発明の水系潤滑処理
液は、化成皮膜処理を施さなくても、従来使用されてい
る化成皮膜処理と水系潤滑処理液処理により得られるも
のと同等の性能を示した。また、本発明方法の実施例1
〜5は、比較例1〜4と比較して数段優れており、従来
なし得ないとされていた高加工度の冷間鍛造を可能とす
るものであった。
また第6表から明らかなように、本発明の実施例におい
て得られた製品は、50℃、90%湿度、24時間の恒
温恒湿発錆試験において、いずれの場合も錆発生がなく
、比較例では従来品が錆発生したことと比較して、良好
な防錆性を示した。
第7表のステンレス鋼冷間鍛造試験結果においても、本
発明実施例の製品は比較例の従来製品と比較して良好穿
孔深さが深く、この結果は本発明の水系潤滑処理l&が
優れた潤滑効果を有することを示した。
第8表のチタン材の伸線試験結果でも、本発明の水系潤
滑処理液を施した実施例10〜12の製品は、5パス実
施においても疵の発生が見られず、本発明の製品が、5
パス目で疵が発生した比較例7〜8の製品と比較して、
斥間塑性加工用潤滑剤としてより優れた性能を有してい
ることを示した。
〔発明の効果〕
本発明の金属材料冷間塑性加工用水系潤滑処理液および
処理方法は、金属材料に対し、焼き付き発生なしに強加
工度の冷間塑性加工に十分耐え得る潤滑性を付与するこ
とができ、作業性にすぐれ、かつ高い防錆性を与えるこ
とができるものである。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 1、50〜400g/lの固体潤滑剤と、1〜40g/
    lの界面活性剤と、チタン濃度として10ppm以上の
    コロイド状チタン化合物と、水とを含む、金属材料の冷
    間塑性加工用水系潤滑処理液。 2、50〜400g/lの固体潤滑剤と、1〜40g/
    lの界面活性剤と、5〜150g/lの無機バインダー
    および有機バインダーから選ばれた少なくとも1種と、
    チタン濃度として10ppm以上のコロイド状チタン化
    合物と、水とを含む、金属材料の冷間塑性加工用水系潤
    滑処理液。 3、化成皮膜により被覆された金属材料表面を、請求項
    1または請求項2記載の水系潤滑処理液によって処理す
