Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は、セキュリティ対策として本人確認が重要とな
る金融ンステム等で使用されるＩＣカードに関し、特に
本人確認手段として指紋を利用した工Ｃカードに関する
。
〔従来の技術〕
従来、この種のＩＣカードは、マイクロプロセッサやメ
モリ等のＩＣチップだけで構成されていたが、最近では
本人確認のためや機能の多様性を高めるために液晶等を
使用した表示装置とキーパッドとを付加したものがある
。
〔発明が解決しようとする課題〕
上述した従来のＩＣカードでは、セキュリテ（対策とし
てキャシュデイスペンサー等の金融システムの端末装置
で使用する際、本人確認用のためにデイスプレィとキー
パッドを付けて、カード利用者がカードのキーパッドに
暗証番号を入力して金融システムに正規の利用者である
ことを証明する方式か、端末装置が有するキーボード等
から暗証番号を入力する方式等が考えられていた。しか
しながら、このような暗証番号による本人確認の方式は
、磁気カードでも問題となったように、暗証番号が他人
に知られた場合には本人に代って使用されてしまうとい
う問題点がある。
本発明の目的は、第三者の使用が絶対不可能な、指紋に
よる本人確認を行う指紋照合機能付ＩＣカードを提供す
ることにある。
〔課題を解決するための手段〕
本発明の指紋照合機能付ＩＣカードは、マイクロプロセ
ッサとメモリと表示装置と≠中ム必晶４÷キーパッドを
有するＩＣカードにおいて、指紋入力パッドと、所有者
の指紋データをあらかじめ登録する指紋データ格納ＲＯ
Ｍと、前記指紋入力パッドから入力された指紋が前記指
紋データ格納ＲＯＭに登録されている指紋と一致してい
るか、否かの判定を行う指紋照合回路とを有している。
〔実施例〕
次に、本発明について図面を参照して説明する。
第１図は本発明の一実施例の斜視図である。ＩＣカード
１０は液晶等を使用した表示装置２０と、表示の切替及
び内部データの検索等に使用する面に端子５０とを有し
ている。
第２図は同実施例のブロック図である。表示装置２０は
表示回路２１を介してＣＰＵ６０に接続され、キーパッ
ド３０もキー制御回路３１を介してＣＰＵ６０に接続さ
れている。また、ＣＰＵ６０はＩＣカード制御用のＲＡ
Ｍ６１と、ＲＯＭ６２とを有し、指紋照合回路４２に接
続されている。指紋照合回路４２は指紋入力パッド４０
と、指紋データ格納ＲＯＭ４　］とを有し、インタフェ
ース回路７０と接続され、インタフェース回路７０は端
子５０と接続されている。
本発明によるＩＣカードＩＯを使用する場合は、ＩＣカ
ード１０を発行するにあたり、ＩＣカードの所有者とな
るべき人の特定の指の指紋から指紋データを採集し、こ
の採集した指紋データを指紋データ格納ＲＯＭ４１に書
込み利用者登録を行う。以後、ＩＣカード利用者は発行
されたＩＣカード１０を使用際には、発行時に登録した
指紋データを有する指を指紋入力バッド４０上に押下す
る。指紋照合回路４２では指紋入力バッド４０から入力
された指紋データと、指紋データ格納ＲＯＭ４１内のデ
ータの一致・不一致の照合判定を実行し、一致している
場合にはＣＰＵ６０とインタフェース回路７０とを接続
させ、外部から端子５０を使用してＩＣカード１０の読
取り、書込みを許可する。これにより、紛失や盗難等に
より本人以外が使用した場合には、指紋照合回路で不一
は許可されない。
なお本実施例のＩＣカードは接触型だが、非接触型のＩ
Ｃカードに使用することも可能である。
〔発明の効果〕
以上説明したように本発明は、人によって異なり、しか
も−生変わらないという性格を有する指紋の照合により
ＩＣカードの使用許諾を決定することができるので、セ
キュリティ対策として本人確認が重要な要件となる金融
システム等で使用する場合にＩＣカード所有者以外の使
用を永久に防止できる効果がある。

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. マイクロプロセッサとメモリと表示装置とキーパッドを
    有するＩＣカードにおいて、指紋入力パッドと、所有者
    の指紋データをあらかじめ登録する指紋データ格納ＲＯ
    Ｍと、前記指紋入力パッドから入力された指紋が前記指
    紋データ格納ＲＯＭに登録されている指紋と一致してい
    るか否かの判定を行う指紋照合回路とを有することを特
    徴とする指紋照合機能付ＩＣカード。
