Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a safe cosmetic free from color and odor and having excellent stability with time, by using a horse oil refined by a column chromatographic means. CONSTITUTION:Horse oil (including horse fat) obtained by the high-pressure steam treatment, etc., of various part of horse is dissolved in a nonpolar solvent such as aliphatic hydrocarbons (e.g., petroleum ether or n-hexane), halogenated hydrocarbons (e.g., carbon tetrachloride), etc. The solution is passed through an adsorption column packed with an adsorbent (e.g., silica gel, activated clay or zeolite) to remove the impurities. The nonpolar solvent is distilled off from the purified product to obtain a purified horse oil having an APHA color tone of <=100 (measured by the method specified in 'Standard Test Method for the Analysis of Oils and Fats' established by Japan Oil Chemists' Society). The horse oil is used as a component of a cosmetic.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION (Industrial Application Field) The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition containing horse oil purified by a column chromatographic method, and its purpose is to The disadvantages of horse oil, which is unsatisfactory as a raw material for cosmetics such as color and odor, and poor oxidation stability over time, have been almost completely improved, and it has no color and odor.
The goal is to provide it as a raw material for safe cosmetics.

The oil is light brown in color and has a distinctive odor. It is known to bleach, deodorize, or distill this, but conventional methods cannot completely remove color and odor, and there are also problems with stability over time, and an increase in peroxide value may affect cosmetics. When used as a raw material, it caused skin irritation and was a problem.

That is, the present invention relates to a cosmetic composition containing horse oil that is almost colorless, odorless, and has excellent stability over time. By passing the liquid through an adsorbent filled with adsorbent, removing impurities using a column chromatographic method, and then distilling off the non-polar solvent, we can create raw materials for cosmetics that are colorless, odorless, and have excellent stability over time. This is what we provide.

Here, the column chromatographic method is a method in which impurities are removed by passing the raw material horse oil (including horse tallow) dissolved in the above non-polar solvent through an adsorbent (or adsorption tube) filled with the above adsorbent. The method for distilling off the solvent after this treatment may be performed simply by heating distillation, or by using reduced pressure and steam blowing in combination.
