Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain accurate data by partitioning a housing with partition shelves into plural chambers, fitting lighting equipments which can be dimmed freely to the respective chambers, and providing a straightening plate which controls a flow of air from an air blowing fan at the upper part in the housing. CONSTITUTION:The plural chambers 9 are formed in the housing 1 with partition shelves 8 and the lighting equipments which are freely adjustable in illuminance are installed at the upper parts of the respective chambers 9. Further, an air blowing fan chamber 10 is formed at the upper part of the housing, the air blowing fan 11 is installed, and the straightening plate 12 is provided below the fan 11. Then while cages which contain small animals are placed on the partition shelves 8, a cooling or heating machine and the fan 11 are put in operation and then cool or warn air flows through the gap between the housing 1 and straightening plate 12 after passing through an air blow opening 13. Then the air flows down by striking on a side wall part 3a and part of the air flows in the respective chambers 9 and moves up along the other side wall parts 3b to flow in the air intake side of the fan 1. Thus, the respective chambers 9 are cooled or heated to nearly equal temperature, so that the accurate data is obtained.

In other words, a casing with a door on the front is divided into upper and lower parts with slatted shelves to form multiple rooms, and a fluorescent light is installed on the top or on the side wall of the casing above each door, and a blower fan is installed on the top. The temperature inside the housing was changed using at least one of a cooling device and a heating device. Small animals are placed in wire mesh or plastic cages and placed on slatted shelves.

(Problem to be solved by the invention) In such a device that applies stress to small animals, placing all the small animals housed in the housing in the same environment increases the reliability of various experiments using the animals. This is particularly important in the above example, as in the conventional example mentioned above, fluorescent lights are only provided on the top surface or on the side wall of the case above each door.
The lower chamber had the disadvantage that it was darker than the upper chamber because it was farther from the light source and the light was blocked by the cage placed on the upper shelf.

In addition, the air blown from the fan passes through the cooler or warmer and is then diffused, so cold or warm wind with high speed flows into the cage near the cooler or warmer, cooling the cage. There was a disadvantage that conditions were different for cages located far from the heater or heater.

There were different problems. (Because it is a slatted shelf, light passes through it, and the degree of light received from fluorescent lights placed in other rooms is different.) The present invention was made to solve the above problems, The purpose of the present invention is to obtain an animal experiment device that can make the environmental conditions of small animals the same.

The flow of wind when the device according to this configuration is operated is shown by arrows as in the first embodiment. That is, the air blown out by the blower fan 11 and passed through the air outlet 15 is directed downward parallel to the side walls 5a, 3b of the housing 1 by the rectifying plate 12', and a part of the air is flowing downward through the rectifying plate 12'. The air flows into each chamber 9 with uniform speed and volume. The wind flowing into each chamber 9 rises and flows toward the intake port 16. Therefore, animals placed in any room are exposed to a uniform temperature environment under almost the same wind speed and volume.
