Abstract

PURPOSE:To raise the limit working temperature of a heat pipe and make the handling of a working liquid easy by pouring a working liquid into the vessel main body which has the same inner and outer diameters in vacuum atmosphere and then covering the vessel main body with a lid by abutting the latter to the former and heating the abutting faces by high frequency induction heating to provide pressure welding between them. CONSTITUTION:A vessel of a heat pipe is constituted with the vessel main body 22 which has the same outer diameter and the same wall thickness and a lid 28. The inside of the vacuum vessel 20 is made vacuum by drawing the inside air and then a working liquid 26 is poured into the vessel main body 22, and then a blind lid 28 is abutted to the vessel main body 22 to cover it. Both the vessel main body 22 and lid 28 have respectively the same outer diameter and same inner diameter so as to match their outer face and inner face when both are abutted. A high frequency induction coil 32 is provided round the abutting face 30 and the content of the vessel is heated in vacuum by the coil 32. Because the lid 28 and vessel main body 22 are all made of ceramics the limit working temperature is raised. Further, because all the work processes are carried out in vacuum, the handling of the working liquid becomes easy.
