Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain external preparation for the skin having beautifying action, good feeling in use, spreading well on the skin, providing the skin with smooth luster, containing protein or a hydrolyzate thereof and kojic acid and an ester thereof. CONSTITUTION:An external preparation is blended with one or more of protein and a hydrolyzate thereof (e.g. soybean protein or collagen) and one or more of kojic acid and an ester thereof (e.g. kojic acid dipalmitate) and pharmaceutically manufactured by a conventional procedure to give the aimed substance. The amount of the proteins added is preferably 0.1-10wt.% and that of the kojic acids added is preferably 0.1-20wt.%. The substance may be pharmaceutically manufactured into various forms for external use of quasi-drugs such as emulsion, lotion, liniment or ointment besides cosmetic such as cream, cosmetic, pack or powder.
