なお、海水濃縮装置40としては、前述したように、海水Wを濃縮できる機能を備えていれば特定の装置に限定されず、例えば、塩析装置や、図3に示す複数段の海水淡水化逆浸透膜(RO膜)設備40bを適用することもできる。
Claims (8)
- 海水を電気分解して水酸化ナトリウム(NaOH)を発生させる電解槽と、
前記電解槽において発生した前記水酸化ナトリウムと、濃縮海水と、二酸化炭素(CO2)とを混合させることによって、前記濃縮海水に含まれるマグネシウム(Mg)に前記二酸化炭素が固定された炭酸マグネシウムを沈殿させる沈殿槽と、
前記電解槽において発生した水酸化ナトリウムに、前記沈殿槽において混合される二酸化炭素を同伴させるために、前記沈殿槽へ供給される前の前記水酸化ナトリウムに向けて、空気を送風する送風機とを備える、二酸化炭素固定システム。 - 前記電解槽の内部に、陽極側と陰極側とを仕切るように陽イオン交換膜を設け、
前記電解槽では、前記海水の電気分解によって前記陽極側に発生したナトリウムイオン(Na+)が、前記陽イオン交換膜を通過して、前記陰極側へ移動し、前記陰極側において発生した水酸化イオン(OH-)と結合して、前記水酸化ナトリウムが発生する、請求項1に記載の二酸化炭素固定システム。 - 前記濃縮海水を前記沈殿槽に供給する海水濃縮部をさらに備える、請求項1または2に記載の二酸化炭素固定システム。
- 前記海水濃縮部は、逆浸透膜を使って海水を濃縮する、請求項3に記載の二酸化炭素固定システム。
- 前記海水濃縮部は、塩析装置である、請求項3に記載の二酸化炭素固定システム。
- 前記水酸化ナトリウムと混合される二酸化炭素を、前記沈殿槽へ供給する二酸化炭素供給部をさらに備える、請求項1乃至5のうち何れか1項に記載の二酸化炭素固定システム。
- 前記沈殿槽に沈殿した炭酸マグネシウムを回収する沈殿回収部をさらに備える、請求項1乃至6のうち何れか1項に記載の二酸化炭素固定システム。
- 電解槽において、海水を電気分解して水酸化ナトリウムを発生させる工程と、
沈殿槽において、前記水酸化ナトリウムと、濃縮海水と、二酸化炭素とを混合させることによって、前記濃縮海水に含まれるマグネシウムに二酸化炭素が固定された塩基性炭酸マグネシウムを沈殿させる工程と、
前記電解槽において発生した水酸化ナトリウムに、前記沈殿槽において混合される二酸化炭素を同伴させるために、前記沈殿槽へ供給される前の前記水酸化ナトリウムに向けて、空気を送風する工程とを含む、二酸化炭素固定方法。
