As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the car stopper 1 according to the present embodiment includes a column main body 2, a cover material 3, a core material 4 disposed inside the column main body 2, and a structure between the column main body 2 and the cover material 3. and a spacer 5 disposed in between. Although the pillar body 2 is made of steel in this embodiment, any metal material such as stainless steel or aluminum can be selected and applied as long as it can absorb the impact of a vehicle collision and can be suitably bent.

The cover material 3 is made up of a cylindrical cover body 31 tapered upward, and a cover cap 32 fitted to cover the opening at the upper end of the cover body 31, and has elasticity. Made of synthetic resin material. The elastic synthetic resin used for molding the cover material 3 is not particularly limited as long as it has elasticity, and may include natural rubber, butadiene styrene rubber, neoprene, butadiene acrylonitrile rubber, chloroprene polymer, butyl rubber, Elastic materials made of various synthetic rubbers and resins such as ethylene propylene terpolymers, urethane resins, polyisobutylene resins, polyethylene resins, ethylene vinyl acetate copolymers, silicone resins, soft and hard vinyl chloride resins, and elastomers, as well as foamed materials. Such materials may be used as appropriate, taking into consideration molding conditions and the like. Furthermore, recycled materials such as waste tires and factory waste materials, and those processed into chips may also be used.

As shown in FIG. 1, a reflective material R is attached to the vicinity of the upper end and the lower end of the cover body 31 so as to go around the periphery of the cover body 31. As shown in FIG. Further, on the outer peripheral surface of the cover cap 32, a reflector made of a band-shaped metal or synthetic resin with glass beads attached is wrapped around it, or a reflector formed by directly embedding a bead-shaped reflector. L is attached. By providing the reflective material R and the reflector L, retroreflectivity by light rays from a vehicle headlight or the like is provided, and visibility at night is improved. Note that it is also possible to provide a self-luminous device such as LED lighting in place of or in addition to the reflective material R or the reflector L to further improve visibility.

By the way, the support main body 2 exposed from the lower end of the cover material 3 shown in FIG. 1 is buried underground, and the part above the corresponding part is exposed above the ground. As described later, the cover material 3 is installed to cover the support main body 2 from above after the support main body 2 is erected on the ground.

Further, a core material 4 is disposed within the support main body 2. As shown in FIGS. 3 to 5, the core material 4 is made of steel in this embodiment like the column main body 2, but it can be made of stainless steel or aluminum as long as it can absorb the impact of a vehicle collision and bend appropriately. It is possible to select and apply any metal material. In this embodiment, the core material 4 includes a rectangular cylindrical body 41 whose horizontal cross-sectional shape is approximately square with rounded corners, and reinforcing members 42 provided with flat parts on the four sides of the prismatic cylindrical body 41. It is equipped with The reinforcing member 42 is formed by bending a long steel plate into a substantially L-shape when viewed from above, and has a length from the upper end to the lower end of the square tubular body 41 Welded.

The core material 4 formed as described above is disposed within the support body 2 as shown in Figures 3 and 4, and is arranged to a height of approximately two-thirds of the support body 2 from the lowest end. This height can be any desired height, but it is necessary that the height be equal to or greater than the height at which a vehicle collision is anticipated.

The spacer 5 has a cylindrical shape and is arranged around the support main body 2, and the cover material 3 is placed over the spacer 5. As a result, the gap between the inner circumferential surface of the cover material 3 whose diameter is tapered downward and the cylindrical support main body 2 is filled, and the cover material 3 is stably fixed. Note that the spacer 5 can be made of any material selected from metal materials, synthetic resin materials, and the like.

Each member formed as described above is installed on the ground as follows. That is, first, the lower part of the column main body 2 is buried in the ground, and then the core material 4 is inserted into the column main body 2 from above. Furthermore, after arranging the spacer 5 around the support main body 2, the cover material 3 is placed over the support main body 2 and the spacer 5 from above the support main body 2, thereby completing the installation.

The car stopper 1 installed in this way protects pedestrians and vehicles by cushioning the impact when they come into contact or collides with each other due to the elastic force of the cover material 3, and also protects pedestrians and vehicles in the event of a strong collision. As the elastic force of the cover material 3 acts, the support main body 2 and the core material 4 absorb the impact of the collision, and also absorb the impact by bending and deforming at the ground level position and the collision height of the vehicle. The vehicle can be suitably stopped.

FIG. 6 shows another embodiment of the core material 4, and only the differences from the core material 4 described above will be described. In the core material 4 shown in FIG. 6(a), the horizontal cross-sectional shape of the reinforcing member 42 is not L-shaped but arcuate (semicircular). Further, in the core material 4 shown in FIG. 6(b), the horizontal cross-sectional shape of the reinforcing member 42 is not L-shaped but U-shaped. The reinforcing member 42 of the core material 4 in the present invention can have any shape as long as it can suitably absorb the impact of a collision of a vehicle or the like and stop the vehicle. However, it is preferable that the plurality of reinforcing members 42 all have the same shape in order to produce the same effect no matter which direction a vehicle or other object collides with them. Further, it is desirable that the square tubular body 41 has a regular polygonal shape for the same reason.

FIG. 7 shows still another embodiment of the core material 4 based on the above points. In the core material 4 shown in FIG. 7(a), the rectangular tubular body 41 has a regular octagonal cross-sectional shape in plan view, and in the core material 4 shown in FIG. 7(b), the rectangular tubular body 41 It has a regular hexagonal cross-sectional shape when viewed from above. Further, in both embodiments (a) and (b), reinforcing members 42 having a substantially U-shape in plan view are provided on all flat surfaces of the outer periphery of the rectangular tubular body 41.

The car stopper according to the present invention has been described above based on an embodiment, but the present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiment.
