また、赤外線ヒータを用いて接合面を加熱するので、昇温速度に限界があり、さらなるサイクルタイムの短縮化が難しい。
図1には、本実施形態に係る複合材接合装置1の概略構成が示されている。複合材接合装置1を用いて第1複合材部材W1と第2複合材部材W2とを接合する。
先ず、図4に示すように、第1複合材部材W1を部品保持ステー9で吸着して保持し、第1複合材部材W1の第1接合面W1cと第2複合材部材W2の第2接合面W2cとを対向させた上で、これらの間に所定の間隔を空けておく。加圧プレート5は、第1複合材部材W1の底部W1aの上面に接した状態で配置されている。このとき、グラファイトヒータ3は、第1接合面W1cと第2接合面W2cとの間の介挿位置から側方(同図において左方)に退避した退避位置に位置している。
グラファイトヒータ3を介挿位置に位置させて第1接合面W1c及び第2接合面W2cに対して平行に配置することで、第1接合面W1cと第2接合面W2cを同時に短時間で均一に加熱することができる。そして、グラファイトヒータ3を退避位置に退避させることで、第1接合面W1cと第2接合面W2cとを接触させて接合することができる。このように、グラファイトヒータ3を介挿位置と退避位置との間で移動させることによって、対向する第1接合面W1cと第2接合面W2cとを加熱し、加熱後にグラファイトヒータ3を退避させることで即座に第1接合面W1cと第2接合面W2cとを接合することができるので、サイクルタイムを短くすることができる。
上記実施形態では、接合工程時における接合面W1c,W2cの温度は加圧プレート5の熱容量を用いた放熱によって調整することとしたが、図9に示すように、加圧プレートに加熱及び/又は冷却する温度調整部15を設けても良い。温度調整部15の温度は制御部によって制御される。温度調整部15としては、加熱用としては電気ヒータや加熱媒体が流通する熱媒流路などを用いることができる。また冷却用としては、ペルチェ素子等の冷却素子や冷却媒体が流通する熱媒流路などを用いることができる。
介挿位置では、シートヒータと第1接合面及び/又は第2接合面とは接触していても良いし、離間していても良い。

Claims (8)
- 面状のシートヒータと、
第1複合材部材の第1接合面と、該第1接合面に対向する第2複合材部材の第2接合面との間の介挿位置で、該第1接合面及び該第2接合面に対して平行に前記シートヒータを位置させるとともに、前記介挿位置から退避した退避位置に前記シートヒータを退避させるシートヒータ移動装置と、
前記シートヒータ移動装置を制御する制御部と、
を備え、
前記制御部は、前記介挿位置で前記シートヒータによって前記第1接合面及び前記第2接合面を加熱した後に、前記シートヒータ移動装置によって前記退避位置まで前記シートヒータを移動し、
前記シートヒータは、グラファイトとされた発熱部と、該発熱部を挟んで固定する絶縁層とを備え、
前記第1複合材部材及び前記第2複合材部材は樹脂及び繊維を含み、
前記第1複合材部材及び前記第2複合材部材は航空機、船舶、又は車両の構造部材として用いられる複合材接合装置。 - 前記第1接合面と前記第2接合面とが接近する方向に前記第1複合材部材及び/又は前記第2複合材部材を加圧する加圧手段を備え、
前記制御部は、前記シートヒータが前記介挿位置から前記退避位置へ退避した後に、前記加圧手段によって前記第1接合面と前記第2接合面との加圧を行う請求項1に記載の複合材接合装置。 - 前記第1接合面と前記第2接合面とを接近させかつ前記第1接合面と前記第2接合面とから前記加圧手段を離間させる接近離間装置を備え、
前記制御部は、前記加圧手段によって前記第1接合面と前記第2接合面との加圧を行った後に、前記接近離間装置によって前記第1接合面と前記第2接合面とから前記加圧手段を離間させる請求項2に記載の複合材接合装置。 - 前記第1複合材部材及び前記第2複合材部材に対する前記シートヒータの相対位置を移動させる移送装置を備え、
前記制御部は、前記接近離間装置によって前記第1接合面と前記第2接合面とから前記加圧手段を離間させた後に、前記移送装置によって前記シートヒータと前記第1複合材部材及び前記第2複合材部材との相対位置を移動させ、前記移送装置によって加圧を行った前記第1接合面及び前記第2接合面とは異なる位置の前記第1接合面及び前記第2接合面の前記介挿位置に前記シートヒータを移動させる請求項3に記載の複合材接合装置。 - 前記加圧手段は、前記第1接合面の背面側となる前記第1複合材部材の第1背面及び/又は前記第2接合面の背面側となる前記第2複合材部材の第2背面に対して接するように設けられた加圧プレートを備えている請求項2から4のいずれかに記載の複合材接合装置。
- 前記加圧プレートは、加熱及び/又は冷却する温度調整部を備えている請求項5に記載の複合材接合装置。
- 前記シートヒータは、前記第1接合面と前記第2接合面の所定の一方向にわたって設けられている請求項1から6のいずれかに記載の複合材接合装置。
- 第1複合材部材の第1接合面と、該第1接合面に対向する第2複合材部材の第2接合面との間の介挿位置で、該第1接合面及び該第2接合面に対して平行に面状のシートヒータを位置させて、前記シートヒータで前記第1接合面及び前記第2接合面を加熱する加熱工程と、
前記介挿位置から退避した退避位置に前記シートヒータを退避させる退避工程と、
前記第1接合面と前記第2接合面とを接近させて接合する接合工程と、
を有し、
前記シートヒータは、グラファイトとされた発熱部と、該発熱部を挟んで固定する絶縁層とを備え、
前記第1複合材部材及び前記第2複合材部材は樹脂及び繊維を含み、
前記第1複合材部材及び前記第2複合材部材を航空機、船舶、又は車両の構造部材として用いる複合材接合方法。
