の不快臭が挙げられる。医療や介護の現場では、アルカリ性成分による不快臭として、例えば、トイレのニオイ、糞尿臭などが発生することがあり、硫黄系の不快臭として、例えば、糞臭などが発生することがある。
本発明で使用する色素は、アルカリ性成分または硫黄性成分を吸収し、かつ、その吸収に応じて呈色する色素であれば特に限定されるものではない。しかし、人体に対する安全性が高く、廃棄後の環境への負荷を抑えることが可能な色素であることが好ましい。
処理速度が遅く、設備コストが高い。芳香剤を用いて悪臭を感じないようにするマスキング法は、悪臭を感覚的になくすが、根本的解決とならない。一方、化学反応を利用した化学的方法により、消臭成分と不快臭成分とを化学反応させ、根本的に不快臭成分を違う成分に変えられる。
アルカリ性成分または硫黄性成分を吸収し、かつ、その吸収に応じて呈色する色素を含有するインジケータを用いたフィルムもしくはシートは、単層フィルムまたは単層シートでもよいし、複数の材料を積層した積層フィルムまたは積層シートでもよい。
記の色素1を分散させた塗膜に、アルカリ性成分や硫黄性成分による不快臭が吸収される。
ポリエステル、ポリアミド、アクリル繊維などの合成繊維、あるいはレーヨン、ポリノジック繊維などがある。
1を含むコート剤を基材層4にコートしたり、色素1を前記層中に分散または含侵させたりする方法をとることができる。
この包装材料は、保存用や保管用の袋、容器、または箱などを含む。また、例えば、四方体の包装材料の全面に、本発明に係るインジケータを用いたフィルムやシートを使用してもよい。
前記フィルム100を用いたラベル7の使用態様の一例を図3に示す。図3は、図1に示すフィルム100を用いたラベル7の使用態様の一例を示した図である。図3に示す通り、例えば、おむつ30の側面に貼る態様で使用される。
が好ましい。また、ラベル7の貼り替えを要する場合など、本願のラベル7を貼った対象物を複数回使用する場合は、対象物から剥がす際、接着剤が対象物に残らないように、低粘着性の接着剤であることが好ましい。
本発明に係るインジケータをゲル状固体に用いることもできる。この場合、アルカリ性成分や硫黄性成分を吸収し、かつ、その吸収に応じて呈色する色素1をゲル状固体に含有させる。このゲル状固体について、下記に説明する。
上記の、フィルム、シート、包装材料、ラベル、または、ゲル状固体を医療用品や介護用品に用いることができる。
、本発明に係るインジケータとしてのフィルムなどにより構成することで、医療用品や介護用品との一体化も可能である。色素である性質を利用して、医療用品や介護用品に着色することによって製品に色どりを与えることも可能である。
上記それぞれの色素を0.15wt%、0.5wt%、5.0wt%のそれぞれの濃度で分散させた塗膜に、0.5wt%のアンモニア水溶液を滴下した結果、図4のグラフや表1に示すような色差ΔEが確認できた。
上記の塗膜に滴下するアンモニア水溶液におけるアンモニアの濃度によって、塗膜上の色素(ブドウ果皮色素とウコン色素のそれぞれ)の色差ΔEが15になるまでの反応時間に差異が見られた。その結果は、図5のグラフと表2に示す通りである。(ブドウ果皮色素とウコン色素のそれぞれにおいて同じ結果となった。)なお、色差ΔEは、値が大きいほど色彩の変化が大きく、概ね色差ΔEが12以上であれば色彩の変化を確実に視認することができる。この表2より、アンモニアの濃度が高いほど色素の呈色反応時間が早いことが分かる。
アンモニア臭の発生源からの距離によっても、塗膜上の色素(ブドウ果皮色素とウコン色素のそれぞれ)の色差ΔEが15になるまでの反応時間に差異が見られた。この試験では、図6に示すモデルを使用した。図6は、図1に示すフィルム100を用いて、アンモニア臭の発生源からの距離と色素の呈色反応時間の関係を調べるために行った試験のモデルの平面概略図である。
この試験では、図3に示すカートリッジ20を用いた。具体的には、縦10mm、横30mmの大きさのカートリッジ20の中の活性炭6上に、上記色素(ブドウ果皮色素とウコン色素のそれぞれ)を含侵したフィルム100を設置した。この試験で用いたモデルは、図6で示すモデルと、フィルム100の代わりにフィルム100と活性炭6を入れたカートリッジ20を使用した以外は同じである。その結果、表4に示す通り、活性炭6ありの場合は、活性炭6なしの場合と比較して、色素の色差ΔEが15になるまでの反応時間に差が見られた。(ブドウ果皮色素とウコン色素のそれぞれにおいて同じ結果となった。)

- インジケータ機能を有するフィルム状またはシート状のラベルであって、
第一の表面及び第二の表面を有し、かつ、水溶性樹脂で構成された基材層と、
前記基材層の前記第一の表面上に形成されたインジケータと、
前記基材層の前記第二の表面上に設けられた粘着剤部と、
を備え、
前記インジケータは、アンモニアまたは硫化水素を吸収し、かつ、その吸収に応じて呈色する色素を含有する層であり、前記色素が環境に無害な色素である、ラベル。 - 前記粘着剤部に貼付された剥離紙を更に備える、請求項1に記載のラベル。
- おむつの側面に貼って使用される、請求項1又は2に記載のラベル。
