Description
(抗菌領域の表面形状(その1))
上記本発明の一の実施形態は、樹脂成形体を含む抗菌性成形体であって、上記樹脂成形体が、以下の方法により算出される卓越突起割合が3%以上25%以下である抗菌領域を有する、抗菌性成形体に関する。
上記本発明の別の実施形態は、樹脂成形体を含む抗菌性成形体であって、最大高さ粗さ(Rz)が100nm以上500nm未満であり最大高さ粗さ(Rz)の半分以上の高さを有する突起(以下、単に「捕捉突起」ともいう。)を複数有し、上記複数の捕捉突起のうち隣り合う捕捉突起間の距離の平均値が1.5μm以上7μm以下である、抗菌領域を有する、抗菌性成形体である。なお、突起間の距離とは突起の頂点間の距離のことを言う。
なお、本明細書において、算術平均粗さRa、十点平均粗さRzjis、負荷長さ率tpおよび二乗平均平方根高さRq、および各突起の高さは、JIS B 0601(2013年)に準拠して定められるパラメータである。また、捕捉突起間の平均距離は、切断レベルが最大高さ粗さ(Rz)の半分である負荷長さの平均値により求められるパラメータである。これらのパラメータを算出するための粗さ曲線は、卓越突起割合の算出時に作成した粗さ曲線である。粗さ曲線を得るための測定を行った領域による誤差の影響を少なくするため、上記算術平均粗さRa、十点平均粗さRzjis、負荷長さ率Rmr(c)および二乗平均平方根高さRqも、複数箇所(たとえば20箇所)について粗さ曲線を測定して算出された最大突起の高さの平均値とすることが好ましい。
上記表面形状を有する抗菌領域は、多種多様な細菌に対する抗菌性を有する。たとえば、上記抗菌領域は、大腸菌、黄色ブドウ球菌、乳酸菌、および緑膿菌のうち少なくともいずれかに対する抗菌性を有し、好ましくは、大腸菌、黄色ブドウ球菌、および緑膿菌のうち少なくともいずれかに対する抗菌性を有し、少なくとも大腸菌および黄色ブドウ球菌に対する抗菌性を有する。
上記樹脂成形体は、樹脂組成物が所定の形状あるいは不定の形状に成形されて、形状を付与されてなる成形体であればよい。上記樹脂成形体の形状は特に限定されず、上記抗菌性成形体の用途などに応じて任意に選択することができる。たとえば、上記成形体は、フィルム状、シート状、チューブ状、リング状、バルク状(たとえば、立方体、直方体、円柱状、および球状など)、板状、袋状、繊維状、網目状、ならびにこれらを加工してなる3次元立体構造などの所定の形状を有するか、または無定形の形状を有することができる。
上記樹脂成形体は、樹脂を含む組成物(樹脂組成物)を成形してなる成形体であればよい。上記樹脂組成物は、たとえばその全質量に対して30質量%以上の上記樹脂を含む。上記樹脂組成物は、上記抗菌性成形体の用途などに応じてその特性を調整するための添加剤を任意に含有してもよい。上記添加剤の例には、公知のフィラー(充填剤)、滑剤、可塑剤、紫外線安定化剤、着色防止剤、艶消し剤、消臭剤、難燃剤、耐候剤、帯電防止材、抗酸化剤、着色剤(染料、顔料)などが含まれる。これらの添加剤は、本発明の効果を阻害しない範囲で最適な組み合わせを選択して用いればよい。また、用途や所望によっては、他の添加剤として有機物質(他の重合体でもよい)および金属ナノ粒子などの無機物質を用いてもよい。
上記抗菌性成形体は、上記抗菌領域を表面に有する樹脂成形体を含めばよく、その全体が上記樹脂成形体からなるものであってもよいし、上記樹脂成形体と上記抗菌領域を表面に有さない他の樹脂成形体との複合体であってもよいし、上記樹脂成形体と金属またはセラミックスとの複合体であってもよい。なお、「抗菌性成形体」とは、上記抗菌領域により抗菌性を付与された成形体であり、抗菌性成形体そのものが抗菌用途に用いられるものであってもよいし、抗菌性成形体が有する本来の用途に加えて、抗菌性が付与された成形体であってもよい。
上記抗菌性成形体は、包装、建築物の設備、家電、電子機器およびその周辺機器、自動車用部品、各種コーティング、医療器具、農業用品、文房具ならびに身体装具などを含む、広汎な用途に使用可能である。なお、上記抗菌性成形体の使用の態様には、上記抗菌性成形体がこれらの用途に使用される物品であることや、上記抗菌性成形体をこれらの物品の一部として組み入れることなどが含まれる。
上記抗菌性成形体は、樹脂成形体の表面に、卓越突起割合が上述した範囲内となるように微小突起を形成する方法で、作製することができる。あるいは、成形後の樹脂成形体の表面における卓越突起割合が上述した範囲内となるように、樹脂成形体を成形する方法で、作製することができる。
上記抗菌性成形体は、各種抗菌方法に使用することができる。
1-1.抗菌性成形体の作製
1-1-1.樹脂組成物の成形体の用意
樹脂組成物の成形体として、以下の基材フィルムを用意した。基材フィルムのサイズは、280mm×180mmの正方形状だった。
ポリエチレン(LLDPE): 三井化学東セロ株式会社製、TUS-TCS#60、厚さ53μm
ポリ塩化ビニリデン(PVDC): 株式会社クレハ製、厚さ45μm
ポリフッ化ビニリデン(PVDF): 株式会社クレハ製、厚さ16μm
ポリイミド(PI): 東レ・デュポン株式会社製、Kapton200H、厚さ53μm
上記基材フィルムの表面を、異なる条件で大気圧プラズマ処理した。
1-2-1.原子間力顕微鏡(AFM)による測定
大気圧プラズマ処理前および大気圧プラズマ処理後の各基材フィルムの表面形状を、原子間力顕微鏡(AFM)により以下の条件で測定した。

上記各サンプルの黄色ブドウ球菌に対する抗菌性を評価した。具体的には、JIS Z 2801(2012年)に記載の方法と同様に、以下の黄色ブドウ球菌を接種し、以下の条件で24時間培養した。なお、各評価用サンプルには、抗菌領域に黄色ブドウ球菌が付着するように、播種を行った。

使用培地: 標準寒天培地
Claims (9)
- 樹脂成形体を含む抗菌性成形体であって、
前記樹脂成形体は、全突起数に対する、高さが最大である最大突起の高さの半分以上の高さを有する卓越突起の突起数の割合である、卓越突起割合が3%以上25%以下である、抗菌領域をその表面に有し、
前記抗菌領域は、JIS B 0601(2013年)で規定される最大高さ粗さが100nm以上200nm未満であり、
前記抗菌領域は、断面長さ10μmあたりの全突起数が20以上50以下であり、
前記卓越突起は、高さの標準偏差が20nm以上60nm以下である、
抗菌性成形体。 - 前記樹脂成形体は、大気圧プラズマ処理により前記抗菌領域が形成されている、請求項1に記載の抗菌性成形体。
- 前記樹脂成形体は、ポリオレフィン系樹脂、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン(PTFE)、パーフルオロアルコキシアルカン(PFA)、パーフルオロエチレンプロペンコポリマー(FEP)、ポリフッ化ビニリデン(PVDF)、ポリ塩化ビニリデン(PVDC)、ポリアミド(PA)、ポリイミド(PI)、ポリフェニレンスルフィド(PPS)、ポリエーテルエーテルケトン(PEEK)、ポリアセタール(POM)、アクリロニトリル・ブタジエン・スチレン共重合体(ABS)、ポリカーボネート(PC)、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)、ポリウレタン、エチレン-ビニルアルコール共重合体(EVOH)、ポリ塩化ビニル(PVC)、アクリル系重合体、エチレン・酢酸ビニル共重合体(EVA)、ポリ乳酸(PLA)、ポリカプロラクトン(PCL)、およびポリグリコール酸(PGA)からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種の樹脂を含む樹脂成形体である、請求項1または2に記載の抗菌性成形体。
- 前記樹脂成形体は、ポリ塩化ビニリデンまたはポリイミドを含む成形体である、請求項3に記載の抗菌性成形体。
- 包装、建築物の設備、家電、電子機器もしくはその周辺機器、自動車用部品、各種コーティング、医療器具、農業用品、文房具または身体装具である、請求項1~4のいずれか1項に記載の抗菌性成形体。
- 鉗子、シリンジ、ステント、人工血管、カテーテル、創傷被覆材、再生医療用足場材、癒着防止材、またはペースメーカーである、請求項1~5のいずれか1項に記載の抗菌性成形体。
- 樹脂成形体を用意する工程と、
前記樹脂成形体の表面に大気圧プラズマ処理を施して、全突起数に対する、高さが最大である最大突起の高さの半分以上の高さを有する卓越突起の突起数の割合である卓越突起割合が3%以上25%以下であり、JIS B 0601(2013年)で規定される最大高さ粗さが100nm以上200nm未満であり、断面長さ10μmあたりの全突起数が20以上50以下であり、前記卓越突起の高さの標準偏差が20nm以上60nm以下である、抗菌領域を前記表面に形成する工程と、を有する、
抗菌性成形体の製造方法。 - 樹脂成形体を含む抗菌性成形体であって、
前記樹脂成形体は、JIS B 0601(2013年)で規定される最大高さ粗さが100nm以上200nm未満であり、
前記最大高さ粗さ(Rz)の半分以上の高さを有する捕捉突起を複数有し、
前記複数の捕捉突起間の平均距離が1.5μm以上7μm以下であり、
前記複数の捕捉突起の高さの標準偏差が20nm以上60nm以下である、抗菌領域をその表面に有する、
抗菌性成形体。 - 樹脂成形体を用意する工程と、
前記樹脂成形体の表面に大気圧プラズマ処理を施して、
JIS B 0601(2013年)で規定される最大高さ粗さが100nm以上200nm未満であり、
前記最大高さ粗さ(Rz)の半分以上の高さを有する捕捉突起を複数有し、
前記複数の捕捉突起間の平均距離が1.5μm以上7μm以下であり、
前記複数の捕捉突起の高さの標準偏差が20nm以上60nm以下である、抗菌領域を前記表面に形成する工程と、を有する、
抗菌性成形体の製造方法。
