Description
(1)非霊長類である哺乳動物において、がんを検査または診断する方法であって、
該対象の尿サンプルに対する線虫の走性行動を評価することを含む、方法。
(2)哺乳動物が、イヌ科の動物、ネコ科の動物、および齧歯類の動物から選択される哺乳動物である、上記(1)に記載の方法。
(3)哺乳動物が、イヌである、上記(1)または(2)に記載の方法。
(4)哺乳動物が、ネコである、上記(1)または(2)記載の方法。
(5)哺乳動物が、齧歯類の動物である、上記(1)または(2)に記載の方法。
線虫を用いた尿の分析方法は、対象から得られた被検試料(例えば、尿)と線虫とを一定距離離して配置し、線虫が被検試料に対して誘引行動を示すか、忌避行動を示すかを観察することによって行うことができる。そして、誘引行動を示した場合には、対象は、がんに罹患している、またはその可能性があると評価することができる。また、忌避行動を示した場合には、対象はがんを有しない、またはその可能性があると評価することができる。ヒトの検体を用いた分析方法の例は、引用することでその全体が本明細書に取り込まれるWO2015/088039に開示される通りである。
シャーレ(例えば、固形培地を導入したシャーレ)に対象から得られた被検試料(例えば、尿サンプル)を配置することと、
被検試料が配置されたシャーレに、被検試料と一定距離離れた位置に線虫を配置することと、
配置後、線虫に行動させることと、を含みうる。
線虫を用いた尿の分析方法は例えば、線虫が被検試料に対して走性行動を示した場合には、対象ががんに罹患している、またはがんに罹患している可能性があると決定することを含みうる。
異なる2以上の希釈倍率の尿を検査する場合には、感度向上の観点で、いずれか一方で陽性となった場合にがんと決定してもよいし、特異度向上の観点で、いずれもが陽性となった場合にがんと決定してもよい。
本実施例では、齧歯類の尿サンプルに対する線虫の走性行動を評価した。

- 非霊長類である哺乳動物において、がんを検査または診断する方法であって、
該哺乳動物の尿サンプルに対する線虫の走性行動を評価することを含み、該哺乳動物が、イヌ科の動物、ネコ科の動物、および齧歯類の動物から選択される哺乳動物である、方法。 - 哺乳動物が、イヌである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 哺乳動物が、ネコである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 哺乳動物が、齧歯類の動物である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 尿サンプルは100倍~1,000倍に希釈された尿である、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 尿サンプルは500倍~5,000倍に希釈された尿である、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 尿サンプルは、100~1,000倍に希釈された尿である、請求項4に記載の方法。
