Description
a)硬質構成要素を含むか、又は硬質構成要素からなるHPPE繊維を提供するステップであって、硬質構成要素は、少なくとも2.5のモース硬度を有する、ステップ;
b)ステップa)の間又は後に、溶媒溶液又はポリマー樹脂の水性懸濁液をステップa)の硬質構成要素を含むか、又はこれからなるHPPE繊維に塗布するステップ;
c)ステップb)において塗布された溶媒溶液又はポリマー樹脂の水性懸濁液を少なくとも部分的に乾燥させ;
ステップa)、b)及びc)の完了時に、充填された繊維及びポリマー樹脂を含む長尺体を得るステップ;
d)ステップc)の前、間及び/又は後に、任意選択で、樹脂の溶融温度から153℃の範囲の温度をステップb)の長尺体に加え、ポリマー樹脂を少なくとも部分的に溶融するステップ;並びに
e)ステップd)の前、間及び/又は後に、ステップc)において得た長尺体に圧力及び/又は張力を任意選択で加え、長尺体を少なくとも部分的に押し固め、且つ/又は延ばすステップ
を含む方法によって製造され、
ポリマー樹脂は、エチレン若しくはプロピレンのホモポリマーであるか、又はエチレン及び/若しくはプロピレンのコポリマーであり、ポリマー樹脂は、ISO1183-2004に従って測定された860~970kg/m3の範囲の密度、40~140℃の範囲の溶融温度、及び少なくとも5J/gの融解熱を有する。
・Dtex:ヤーン又はフィラメントのタイターは、それぞれ、100メートルのヤーン又はフィラメントを秤量することによって測定した。ヤーン又はフィラメントのdtexは、重量(ミリグラムで表す)を10で除することによって計算した。
・融解熱及びピーク溶融温度は、それぞれ、第2の加熱曲線について10K/分の加熱速度で標準的なDSC方法ASTM E794及びASTM E793によって測定し、窒素下で脱水した試料上で行った。
・ポリマー樹脂の密度は、ISO1183-2004によって測定する。
・IV:固有粘度は、異なる濃度からゼロ濃度で測定したような粘度を推定することによって、135℃にてデカリン中、16時間の溶解時間、2g/l溶液の量で抗酸化剤としてBHT(ブチル化ヒドロキシトルエン)を伴う、方法ASTM D1601(2004)によって決定する。
・HPPE繊維の引張特性:引張強度(又は強度)及び引張弾性率(又は弾性率)は、ASTM D885Mにおいて特定するように、500mmの繊維の名目上ゲージ長さ、50%/分のクロスヘッド速度、及び「Fiber Grip D5618C」タイプのInstron2714クランプを使用して、マルチフィラメントヤーン上で定義及び決定する。測定した応力-ひずみ曲線に基づいて、弾性率は、0.3~1%のひずみの勾配として決定する。弾性率及び強度の計算のために、測定した引張力は、上記で決定したようなタイターで除する;GPaでの値は、HPPEについて0.97g/cm3の密度を想定して計算する。
・テープ様形状を有する繊維の引張特性:引張強度、引張弾性率及び破断伸びは、ASTM D882において特定するように、440mmのテープの名目上ゲージ長さ、50mm/分のクロスヘッド速度を使用して、25℃にて2mmの幅のテープ上で定義及び決定する。
・ポリオレフィン樹脂の破断における引張強度及び引張弾性率は、ISO527-2によって測定した。
・1000個の炭素原子当たりのオレフィン分岐の数は、例えば、欧州特許第0269151号明細書(特に、そのpg.4)におけるように、NMR測定に基づいた較正曲線を使用して1375cm-1での吸収を定量化することによって、2mm厚さの圧縮成形フィルム上でのFTIRによって決定した。
・SEM測定は、Phenom XLテーブルトップSEM顕微鏡写真を使用することによって行った。
・粉塵形成は、試料を編み、15分間の編むプロセスの間に白色の紙を試料の下に置くことによって決定した。
・切断抵抗は、ISO13997-1999によって決定した。
懸濁液Aは、商品名Michem(登録商標)Prime5931としてMichelmanから購入したが、アクリレート改質ポリオレフィン(acrylate modified polyolefin)、すなわち、78℃の溶融ピーク及び29J/gの融解熱を有するエチレンアクリル酸(EAA)コポリマーの28重量%水懸濁液である。
[比較実験1(CE1)]
次いで、国際公開第2013149990号パンフレットの実施例1によって得られたヤーンAを、1平方メートル当たり260グラムの布帛(布帛A)中に編んだ。布帛を試験し、結果を表1において示す。
次いで、比較実験1によって得たヤーンAを、懸濁液Aを10倍の量の水で希釈することによって調製したポリオレフィン懸濁液に浸漬することによってコーティングした。次いで、湿潤したヤーンを、5m/sの注入口スピード及び6m/sの排出口スピードを伴う8.4メートルの長さを有するオーブンに供給した。オーブン温度は、130℃にて設定した。得られた乾燥したヤーン(ヤーンB)は、3.5重量%のポリオレフィン樹脂及び96.5重量%の繊維性材料を含有した。それに続いて、ヤーンBを、1平方メートル当たり260グラムの布帛(布帛B)中に編んだ。布帛を試験し、結果を表1において示す。
Claims (33)
- アスペクト比(繊維長/繊維径)が20以上であるヤーンであって、
i)超高分子量ポリエチレン及び充填材としての硬質構成要素を含有するポリエチレン組成物から形成された、充填されたポリエチレン繊維であって、前記硬質構成要素は少なくとも2.5のモース硬度を有する硬質繊維を含み、前記硬質繊維のアスペクト比L/D(平均長さ/平均直径)は10以上であり、前記硬質繊維の平均直径(D)は1μm以上であり、前記充填されたポリエチレン繊維のテナシティーは少なくとも0.5N/texである繊維、並びに
ii)ポリマー樹脂であって、前記ポリマー樹脂は、エチレン若しくはプロピレンのホモポリマーであるか、又はエチレン及び/若しくはプロピレンのコポリマーであり、前記ポリマー樹脂は、ISO1183-2004に従って測定された860~970kg/m3の範囲の密度、40~140℃の範囲の溶融温度、及び少なくとも5J/gの融解熱を有するポリマー樹脂
を含み、
前記ii)ポリマー樹脂は前記i)充填されたポリエチレン繊維の表面と接触しており、
前記充填されたポリエチレン繊維は最大限で15dtexの線密度を有するフィラメントである、ヤーン。 - 前記硬質繊維の前記平均長さ(L)が、少なくとも50μmであり最大限で3000μmである、請求項1に記載のヤーン。

- 前記充填されたポリエチレン繊維が、少なくとも1.5N/texのテナシティーを有する、請求項1~12のいずれか一項に記載のヤーン。
- 前記充填されたポリエチレン繊維が、HMWPE及び/又はUHMWPE並びに前記硬質構成要素からなる、請求項1~13のいずれか一項に記載のヤーン。
- 前記硬質構成要素が、少なくとも3.5のモース硬度を有する、請求項1~14のいずれか一項に記載のヤーン。
- 前記硬質構成要素が、少なくとも4.0のモース硬度を有する、請求項1~15のいずれか一項に記載のヤーン。
- 前記ヤーン中のポリマー樹脂の量が、1~20重量%であり、前記重量パーセントが、前記ヤーンの総重量に対するポリマー樹脂の重量である、請求項1~16のいずれか一項に記載のヤーン。
- 前記ヤーン中のポリマー樹脂の量が、2~10重量%であり、前記重量パーセントが、前記ヤーンの総重量に対するポリマー樹脂の重量である、請求項1~17のいずれか一項に記載のヤーン。
- 前記充填されたポリエチレン繊維が、充填されたポリエチレン繊維の全重量に基づいて、1重量%~35重量%の前記硬質構成要素を含有する、請求項1~18のいずれか一項に記載のヤーン。
- 前記ポリマー樹脂の密度が、870~930kg/m3の範囲である、請求項1~19のいずれか一項に記載のヤーン。
- 前記ポリマー樹脂が、エチレンアクリル酸コポリマーを含む、請求項1~20のいずれか一項に記載のヤーン。
- 長さ寸法が、ヤーンの幅又は厚さ寸法のどちらか大きい方より、少なくとも100倍大きい、請求項1~21のいずれか一項に記載のヤーン。
- 前記充填されたポリエチレン繊維及び前記ポリマー樹脂を含むヤーンであって、前記i)充填されたポリエチレン繊維が、前記ii)ポリマー樹脂で被覆されている、請求項1~22のいずれか一項に記載のヤーン。
- 前記硬質繊維が、前記充填されたポリエチレン繊維内に分布している、請求項1~23のいずれか一項に記載のヤーン。
- 前記ポリマー樹脂の融解熱が、少なくとも5J/gであり最大限で200J/gである、請求項1~24のいずれか一項に記載のヤーン。
- 請求項1~25のいずれか一項に記載のヤーンを製造する方法であって、
a)超高分子量ポリエチレン及び充填材としての硬質構成要素を含有するポリエチレン組成物から形成された、充填されたポリエチレン繊維であって、前記硬質構成要素は少なくとも2.5のモース硬度を有する硬質繊維を含み、前記硬質繊維のアスペクト比L/D(平均長さ/平均直径)は10以上であり、前記硬質繊維の平均直径(D)は1μm以上であり、前記充填されたポリエチレン繊維のテナシティーは少なくとも0.5N/texであり、前記充填されたポリエチレン繊維は最大限で15dtexの線密度を有するフィラメントである、充填されたポリエチレン繊維を提供するステップ;
b)ステップa)の間又は後に、溶媒中にポリマー樹脂が存在する溶液をステップa)の前記繊維に塗布するステップ;
c)ステップb)において塗布された前記溶液の前記溶媒を少なくとも部分的に除去し;
ステップa)、b)及びc)の完了時に、充填されたポリエチレン繊維を含む前記ヤーンを得るステップ;
を含み、
前記ポリマー樹脂は、エチレン若しくはプロピレンのホモポリマーであるか、又はエチレン及び/若しくはプロピレンのコポリマーであり、前記ポリマー樹脂は、ISO1183-2004に従って測定された860~970kg/m3の範囲の密度、40~140℃の範囲の溶融温度、及び少なくとも5J/gの融解熱を有する、方法。 - 前記充填されたポリエチレン繊維が、HMWPE及び/又はUHMWPE並びに前記硬質構成要素からなる、請求項26に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリマー樹脂の融解熱が、最大限で200J/gである、請求項26に記載の方法。
- 請求項1~25のいずれか一項に記載のヤーンを含む布帛。
- 請求項29に記載の布帛を含む衣料品。
- 手袋である、請求項30に記載の衣料品。
- 請求項1~25のいずれか一項に記載のヤーンを含む物品であって、釣り糸及び漁網、接地網、カーゴネット及びカーテン、凧糸、デンタルフロス、テニスラケットのガット、キャンバス、テントキャンバス、不織布、帯ひも、圧力容器、ホース、アンビリカルケーブル、電気ケーブル、光学繊維ケーブル、信号ケーブル、自動車の装置、建築建設材料、切断及び穿刺抵抗性並びに切開抵抗性物品、衣料品、複合スポーツ用具、スキー、ヘルメット、カヤック、カヌー、自転車及びボートのハル及びスパー、スピーカーコーン、高性能電気絶縁体、レードーム、帆及びジオテキスタイルからなる群から選択される、物品。
- 前記衣料品が、保護手袋、手袋、エプロン、ズボン、カフ、又はスリーブである、請求項32に記載の物品。
