Claims (7)
- 放電電極と、当該放電電極に対向して配置される対向電極と、
前記放電電極へ印加する印加電圧を制御する制御部と、
を備え、
前記対向電極は、
導電部と、当該導電部の表面を被覆する絶縁層とを有し、
前記制御部は、
前記印加電圧を制御して、前記放電電極の近傍でコロナ放電を生じさせることにより正極性のイオンを発生させるとともに、前記対向電極の絶縁層の絶縁破壊による放電を生じさせて前記正極性とは逆極性である負極性のイオンを発生させ、
前記絶縁破壊による放電が生じることにより前記放電電極と前記対向電極との間に流れる放電電流に出現する複数の逆極性荷電パルスの1パルスあたりの電荷量は、前記コロナ放電が生じることにより前記放電電流に出現する複数の印加極性荷電パルスの1パルスあたりの電荷量よりも、大きい、荷電装置。 - 前記対向電極の絶縁層の絶縁破壊により生じるパルス状の放電は、前記放電電極の近傍でのパルス状のコロナ放電よりも、放電の発生頻度が低い、
請求項1に記載の荷電装置。 - 前記荷電装置を通過する微粒子を、前記対向電極の前記絶縁層の絶縁破壊により生じた前記負極性のイオンにより帯電させる、請求項1または請求項2に記載の荷電装置。
- 前記制御部は、
前記正極性のイオンを前記放電電極から発生させる一方、前記負極性のイオンを前記対向電極から発生させることができる所定の印加電圧を前記放電電極に印加する、請求項1または請求項2に記載の荷電装置。 - 前記絶縁層は、塩化ビニル樹脂またはフッ素樹脂により形成される、請求項1または請求項2に記載の荷電装置。
- 前記正極性のイオンによる荷電量をQ1とし、前記負極性のイオンによる荷電量をQ2としたとき、
|Q2|>2×|Q1|
の関係を満たす、請求項1または請求項2に記載の荷電装置。 - 請求項1または請求項2に記載の荷電装置と、同荷電装置により帯電された微粒子を静電気力により捕集する集塵装置とを備える、電気集塵装置。
