Description
まず、実施の形態1に係る液晶表示装置100の構成について、図1~図4を用いて説明する。図1は、実施の形態1に係る液晶表示装置100の斜視図である。図2は、同液晶表示装置100の断面図である。図3は、同液晶表示装置100に用いられる液晶表示パネル1の断面図である。図4は、同液晶表示パネル1の拡大断面図である。なお、図3及び図4は、鉛直方向を垂直線とする水平面に液晶表示パネル1を平置きした状態を示している。具体的には、図3において、液晶表示パネル1は、表示画面1aが上を向くように水平面に載置されている。水平面は、例えば、ワーク面、床面又は地面等である。
次に、実施の形態2に係る液晶表示装置100Aについて、図9を用いて説明する。図9は、実施の形態2に係る液晶表示装置100Aに用いられる液晶表示パネル1Aにおける複数のスペーサ40Aの配置のレイアウトを示す図である。なお、図9は、スペーサ40Aの配置密度を模式的に示しただけのイメージ図であり、実際に形成されたスペーサ40を表したものではない。
次に、実施の形態3に係る液晶表示装置100Bについて、図10を用いて説明する。図10は、実施の形態3に係る液晶表示装置100Bにおける第1の液晶表示パネル1M及び第2の液晶表示パネル1Nを立て置きに配置して使用し続けた場合の様子を示す図である。
以上、本開示に係る液晶表示装置、液晶モジュール及び液晶表示パネル等について、実施の形態に基づいて説明したが、本開示は、上記の実施の形態に限定されるものではない。

Claims (8)
- 立設する姿勢で用いられる液晶表示パネルであって、
第1の基板と、
前記第1の基板に対向する第2の基板と、
前記第1の基板と前記第2の基板との間に充填された液晶層と、
前記第1の基板と前記第2の基板とのギャップを維持するための複数のスペーサとを備え、
前記複数のスペーサは、高さが異なる2種類のスペーサからなり、
前記2種類のスペーサは、複数の第1のスペーサと、各々が前記第1のスペーサの高さよりも高い高さを有する複数の第2のスペーサであり、
前記液晶表示パネルを立設する姿勢で配置したときに、前記液晶層の上端となる位置を第1の位置とし、前記液晶層の下端となる位置を第2の位置とすると、
前記液晶表示パネルを平置きにした姿勢において、前記第1のスペーサに対する前記第2のスペーサの配置比率は、前記第1の位置から前記第2の位置に向かって漸次小さくなっており、かつ、前記第1の基板と前記第2の基板とのギャップは、前記第1の位置から前記第2の位置に向かって漸次小さくなっている、
液晶表示パネル。 - 前記第1のスペーサの高さをH1とし、前記第2のスペーサの高さをH2とすると、
1.03≦H2/H1≦1.10、である、
請求項1に記載の液晶表示パネル。 - 前記複数のスペーサの配置密度は、前記第1の位置から前記第2の位置に向かって漸次小さくなっている、
請求項1又は2に記載の液晶表示パネル。 - 前記複数のスペーサの配置密度は、前記第1の位置から前記第2の位置に向かって一定である、
請求項1又は2に記載の液晶表示パネル。 - 前記第1の基板は、複数の画素の各々に配置された薄膜トランジスタを有し、
前記第2の基板は、カラーフィルタを有し、
前記複数のスペーサは、前記第2の基板に設けられている、
請求項1~4のいずれか1項に記載の液晶表示パネル。 - 前記複数のスペーサの各々は、前記第1の基板及び前記第2の基板の各々に接するメインスペーサであり、
前記液晶表示パネルは、さらに、前記メインスペーサよりも高さが低い複数のサブスペーサを備える、
請求項1~5のいずれか1項に記載の液晶表示パネル。 - 請求項1~6のいずれか1項に記載の液晶表示パネルと、
前記液晶表示パネルの背面側に配置されたバックライトとを備え、
前記液晶表示パネルは、複数であり、
複数の前記液晶表示パネルは、第1の液晶表示パネルと、前記第1の液晶表示パネルと前記バックライトとの間に配置された第2の液晶表示パネルとを有し、
前記第1の液晶表示パネルは、カラー画像を表示し、
前記第2の液晶表示パネルは、モノクロ画像を表示する、
液晶モジュール。 - 請求項1~6のいずれか1項に記載の液晶表示パネルと、
前記液晶表示パネルの背面側に配置されたバックライトとを備え、
前記液晶表示パネルは、複数であり、
複数の前記液晶表示パネルは、第1の液晶表示パネルと、前記第1の液晶表示パネルと前記バックライトとの間に配置された第2の液晶表示パネルとを有し、
前記第1の液晶表示パネルは、モノクロ画像を表示し、
前記第2の液晶表示パネルは、モノクロ画像を表示する、
液晶モジュール。
