樹脂原料1:カネカ製、カネカ生分解性ポリマーPHBHTM 151C 〔ポリ(3-ヒドロキシブチレート-コ-3-ヒドロキシヘキサノエート)〕
樹脂原料2:カネカ製、カネカ生分解性ポリマーPHBHTM X131A 〔ポリ(3-ヒドロキシブチレート-コ-3-ヒドロキシヘキサノエート)〕
樹脂試料4~10mgをアルミパンに充填し、示差走査熱量分析器を用いて、窒素気流下、30℃から180℃まで10℃/分の速度で昇温して樹脂試料が融解した時に得られる吸熱曲線において、吸熱量が最大となった温度を融点ピーク温度とし、融点ピーク温度よりも高温側で融点ピークが終了し吸熱が認められなくなった温度を融点ピークの高温側の終了温度とした。
口径1mm、長さ10mm、流入角45°のオリフィスを装着し、160℃に加熱したキャピログラフ(シリンダー径10mm)に樹脂試料15gを充填し、5分間予熱した後に、ピストンを10mm/minの速度で降下させて前記オリフィスから溶融樹脂を押出す際の、ピストンにかかる応力から、剪断速度122/sでの溶融粘度を算出した。
シートの厚みは、シート幅方向の端部及び中央部の3箇所をノギスで測定し、算術平均で算出した。
目開き80μのメッシュで異物を除去した海水(兵庫県高砂市の港湾部から採取)6Lと、ASTM D-7081に準じて3gの塩化アンモニウムと、0.6gのリン酸2カリウムとをプラスチックコンテナに入れ、50mm角に切り出したシートを投入し、3ヵ月後の重量保持率を算出した。なお、海水は水温を23℃に保った。
真空成形機を用いてシートの熱成形を行った。まず、シートを一辺200mmまたは300mmの正方形の型枠に固定し、シート中央にサーモラベルを貼付した後、遠赤外線ヒーターを350℃に設定した予熱室にて、サーモラベルの表示(予熱温度)が所定温度に到達するまでシートの予熱を行った。次いで、シート下方より金型を突き上げ、金型をシートと接触させた後、金型底部に設けられた孔から真空引きを行い、シートを金型に沿わせることで容器形状に成形し、離型して成形体を得た。なお、本評価に使用した金型は、開口部が110mm角で深さ35mmの角丸容器のものであり、底部は80mm角でR=10mmの角丸形状で、底部と側壁部にもR=10mmの曲線部を有していた。金型の形状の概略図を図1に示す。
上記熱成形で得られた成形体は、底角部が最も延伸され厚みが薄くなったことから、当該底角部、及び、容器底の平面部中央を切り出し、各々の厚みをノギスで測定し、以下の式1にて厚み比を算出し、以下の基準で評価した。
式1: 厚み比=(底角部の厚み)/(底平面部の厚み)
○:前記厚み比が0.5以上
×:前記厚み比が0.5未満
上記熱成形で得られた成形体の外観を観察し、以下の基準で評価した。
○:成形体が金型形状に付型され、皺や表面荒れなどの外観不良が無い
△:成形体に、若干の皺がある
×:成形体に、付型不良や、皺や表面荒れなどの外観不良がある
樹脂原料1と樹脂原料2を表1に示す配合比で混合し、両樹脂原料の合計100重量部に対しペンタエリスリトール1重量部を配合してドライブレンドした。得られた樹脂材料を、シリンダー温度及びダイ温度を150℃に設定したφ26mmの同方向二軸押出機に投入して押出し、45℃の湯を満たした水槽に通してストランドを固化し、ペレタイザーで裁断することにより、樹脂ペレット1、2及び4を得た。
各樹脂ペレットの製造条件及び融点特性を表1に示す。
幅500mmのTダイを接続したφ40mmの単軸押出機のシリンダー温度及びダイ温度をそれぞれ160℃に設定し、樹脂ペレット1を投入してシート状に押出し、Tダイ下に配された2本の冷却ロールで挟み込み、幅方向端部をスリットすることで、幅310mm、厚み0.31mのシートを得た。シートの熱成形評価には、一辺300mmの型枠を用い、予熱温度が140℃になるようシートの予熱を行い、熱成形を実施した。評価結果を表2に示す。
加工に用いる樹脂ペレットを樹脂ペレット2に変更した以外は実施例1と同様にしてシートを得、シートの熱成形評価を行った。評価結果を表2に示す。
シート厚みを0.16mmとした以外は実施例2と同様にしてシートを得、シートの熱成形評価を行った。評価結果を表2に示す。
加工に用いる樹脂ペレットを樹脂ペレット3に変更し、押出機のシリンダー温度及びダイ温度をそれぞれ155℃に設定した以外は実施例1と同様にしてシートを得た。シートの熱成形評価は、一辺300mmの型枠の他に一辺200mmの型枠を用いて成形を行った他は、実施例1と同様にして実施した。評価結果を表2に示す。
8インチ径の二本ロールを用い、ロール設定温度を145℃、ロール回転速度を20rpmと18rpmとし、樹脂ペレット2をロールに供給し、ロールに巻き付いてから2分間混錬後に切り出し、2枚の鉄板に挟み込み、冷却後に310mm角に切り出すことで、厚み0.71mmのシートを得た。シートの熱成形性評価は、シートの予熱温度を150℃に変更した以外は実施例1と同様にして行った。評価結果を表2に示す。
加工に用いる原料をポリ乳酸(ネイチャーワークス製Ingeo10361D)に変更し、押出機のシリンダー温度及びダイ温度をそれぞれ170℃に設定した以外は実施例1と同様にしてシートを得た。シートの熱成形性評価は、シートの予熱温度を150℃に変更した以外は実施例1と同様にして行った。得られたシートの評価結果を表2に示す。
樹脂ペレット4を用いた以外は実施例1と同様にしてシートを得、シートの熱成形性を評価した。評価結果を表2に示す。
樹脂ペレット2を用い、スクリュー回転数を調節してシート厚みを0.10mmとした以外は実施例1と同様にしてシートを得、シートの熱成形性を評価した。評価結果を表2に示す。
樹脂ペレット2を用い、シート引取速度を調節してシート厚みを1.13mmとした以外は実施例1と同様にしてシートを得た。シートの熱成形評価において、シートの予熱温度を150℃として予熱を行った場合と、160℃として予熱を行った場合でそれぞれ成形を実施した。評価結果を表2に示す。
Claims (8)
- ポリ(3-ヒドロキシブチレート)系樹脂からなる、熱成形用樹脂シートであって、
前記ポリ(3-ヒドロキシブチレート)系樹脂の示差走査熱量分析における融点ピーク温度と、融点ピークの高温側の終了温度の差が10℃以上70℃以下であり、前記シートの肉厚が0.15~1mmである、ポリ(3-ヒドロキシブチレート)系熱成形用樹脂シート。 - 前記ポリ(3-ヒドロキシブチレート)系樹脂の160℃における溶融粘度が10000poise以上である、請求項1に記載のポリ(3-ヒドロキシブチレート)系熱成形用樹脂シート。
- 前記ポリ(3-ヒドロキシブチレート)系樹脂が、ポリ(3-ヒドロキシブチレート-コ-3-ヒドロキシヘキサノエート)である、請求項1または2に記載のポリ(3-ヒドロキシブチレート)系熱成形用樹脂シート。
- 請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載のポリ(3-ヒドロキシブチレート)系熱成形用樹脂シートを製造する方法であって、
前記ポリ(3-ヒドロキシブチレート)系樹脂を押出機中で溶融した後、Tダイから押出してシートを得る工程を含む、製造方法。 - 請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載のポリ(3-ヒドロキシブチレート)系熱成形用樹脂シートを製造する方法であって、
前記ポリ(3-ヒドロキシブチレート)系樹脂を加熱ロール間で溶融した後、シートを得る工程を含む、製造方法。 - 請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載のポリ(3-ヒドロキシブチレート)系熱成形用樹脂シートを加熱し、型により付型する熱成形工程を含む成形体の製造方法。
- 請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載のポリ(3-ヒドロキシブチレート)系熱成形用樹脂シートを、前記ポリ(3-ヒドロキシブチレート)系樹脂の示差走査熱量分析における融点ピーク温度と、融点ピークの高温側の終了温度の間の温度に予備加熱した後に、成形する工程を含む、成形体の製造方法。
- 前記成形を、真空成型方法、圧空成型方法、又は、真空圧空成型方法により行う、請求項7に記載の成形体の製造方法。
