Abstract
Description
図1は、本実施形態に係る電池容器の概略を示す正面図であり、図2は、同平面図、図3は、図2のA-A断面図である。
これらの図に示す電池容器1は、金属製の缶胴2と缶蓋3とを備え、有底筒状に成形された缶胴2の開口部周縁に、缶蓋3の周縁部を接合することによって、電池要素10が封入されるように構成されている。
なお、図3では、電池容器1に封入される電池要素10の図示を省略している。
ここで、「同様に湾曲する」とは、缶蓋3の湾曲面に成形された部位と、缶胴2の底部21の湾曲面に成形された部位とが、完全に一致するように湾曲していることまでは要求されず、缶蓋3を缶胴2に接合した状態で、缶蓋3と、缶胴2の底部21の湾曲面に成形された部位との間の間隔Sが、加工精度の範囲内で略等間隔となるように、缶蓋3の湾曲面に成形された部位が湾曲していればよいという意味に解するものとする。
次に、電池容器1に封入される電池要素10の一例について説明する。
図4に、電池要素10の一例を模式的に示すに、電池要素10は、例えば、正極集電体に正極活物質が積層された正極材11、負極集電体に負極活物質が積層された負極材12、及び電解液が含浸されるセパレータ13を長尺な帯状に形成し、これらを捲回機にセットして、セパレータ13/負極材12/セパレータ13/正極材11の順に重ねて、巻芯に巻き取ることによって作製することができる。
なお、図4では、電池要素10の巻き取られた終端側の一部を切り欠いて示している。電池要素10は、セパレータ13/正極材11/セパレータ13/負極材12の順に重ねられてもよい。
次に、缶胴2に缶蓋3を接合する接合構造について説明する。
なお、図5には、接合される前の缶胴2と缶蓋3のそれぞれの縦断面を示している。
表面にニッケルめっき処理が施されたスチール板(ニッケルめっき鋼板)を用いて、缶胴2と缶蓋3を成形した。缶胴2の底部21は、容器外方に凸の湾曲面を含むように成形し、当該湾曲面を半径60mmの球面に成形した。底部21の厚みは、0.200mmであった。缶蓋3は、容器内方に凸の湾曲面を含むように成形し、当該湾曲面を缶胴2の底部21と同様の半径60mmの球面に成形した。缶蓋3の厚みは、0.300mmであった。
次いで、缶胴2の開口周縁部に、缶蓋3の周縁部を二重巻締によって接合した。缶胴2に缶蓋3が接合された電池容器1の直径は約66mm、高さは約20mmであった。
缶胴の底部を平面状に成形し、缶蓋の接合部を除く部位を平面状に成形した以外は、実施例1と同様に成形された缶胴と缶蓋とを二重巻締によって接合した。

Claims (5)
- 金属製の缶胴と缶蓋とを備え、
有底筒状に成形された前記缶胴の開口周縁部に、前記缶蓋の周縁部が接合され、
前記缶胴の底部が、容器外方に凸又は容器内方に凸の湾曲面を含むように成形され、
前記缶蓋が、容器内方に凸又は容器外方に凸であり、かつ、前記底部の湾曲面に成形された部位と同様に湾曲する湾曲面を含むように成形されていることを特徴とする電池容器。 - 前記缶胴と前記缶蓋とが二重巻締によって接合される請求項1に記載の電池容器。
- 前記缶胴の開口周縁部の端部側と、前記缶蓋の周縁部の端部側との少なくともいずれか一方に折り返し部が形成されている請求項2に記載の電池容器。
- 前記缶胴と前記缶蓋とが電気的に絶縁された状態で接合される請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の電池容器。
- 等幅に形成された正極材、負極材、及びセパレータが、セパレータ/負極材/セパレータ/正極材、又はセパレータ/正極材/セパレータ/負極材の順に重ねられ、幅方向の両端を揃えて重ねられた前記セパレータに対して、幅方向の一端側に前記正極材がずらされるとともに、幅方向の他端側に前記負極材がずらされた状態で巻き取られてなり、一方の巻取端面が前記缶胴の前記底部の湾曲面に対応して湾曲し、他方の巻取端面が前記缶蓋の湾曲面に対応して湾曲する電池要素が封入される請求項4に記載の電池容器。
