Description
The present invention relates to an assembled battery.
By the way, in a laminate-type battery cell, the positive electrode tab and the negative electrode tab are often made of different metal materials. In the configuration described in
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the present invention to provide an assembled battery capable of suppressing an increase in the stress generated in the joints between tabs when energized.
In the present invention, a plurality of battery cells each having plate-shaped positive electrode tabs and negative electrode tabs projecting from a cell body are provided, the positive electrode tabs and the negative electrode tabs are made of metal materials having different thermal expansion coefficients, and the plurality of the battery cells are stacked, and the tab on one pole side of the battery cell is joined to the tab on the other pole side of the adjacent battery cell to be electrically connected, wherein the positive electrode tab and the negative electrode tab, at least the tab made of a metal material having a relatively large thermal expansion coefficient is formed with a slit so as to divide the joint portion where the positive electrode tab and the negative electrode tab are joined in the plate width direction. It is characterized by being
According to this configuration, in the assembled battery in which the positive electrode tab and the negative electrode tab made of different metal materials are joined, at least the tab made of a metal material having a relatively large coefficient of thermal expansion has the positive electrode tab and the negative electrode tab. A slit is formed to divide the joint portion in the plate width direction. Therefore, the slit reduces the restraining force on the other tab. As a result, when the positive electrode tab and the negative electrode tab try to deform each other due to the heat generated by energization, the slits reduce the influence of the difference in thermal expansion coefficient, and the difference in the amount of deformation of the tabs becomes smaller. It is possible to suppress an increase in the stress generated in the joint portion.
Also, the slits may be provided only in a tab made of a metal material having a relatively large coefficient of thermal expansion.
According to this configuration, when the tab made of a metal material with a relatively large coefficient of thermal expansion expands due to a rise in temperature, the gap between the slits can move relatively freely. It is possible to relax the stress of the joint.
In addition, the tab made of a metal material having a relatively large coefficient of thermal expansion has a bent portion bent toward the tab made of a metal material having a relatively small coefficient of thermal expansion, and a tip side of the tab made of a metal material having a relatively small coefficient of thermal expansion. and a contact portion provided with the slit, the contact portion being in contact with the tab of the pole having a small coefficient of thermal expansion, wherein the slit extends from the tip of the tab of the pole having a large coefficient of thermal expansion to the cell body rather than the bent portion. may extend to a position close to
According to this configuration, since the slit extends to a position closer to the cell body than the bent portion, the portion that can move freely between the slits increases, and the increase in stress generated in the joint portion when energized can be suppressed. can be done.
Moreover, the slit may be provided in both the positive electrode tab and the negative electrode tab.
According to this configuration, since the slits are provided in both the positive electrode tab and the negative electrode tab, the binding force with respect to the other tab is reduced. be able to.
Further, the slit includes a first slit provided in the positive electrode tab and a second slit provided in the negative electrode tab, and the position of the first slit in the plate width direction and the plate width of the second slit The positive electrode tab and the negative electrode tab may be joined so that the directional positions overlap each other.
According to this configuration, the first slit provided in the positive electrode tab and the second slit provided in the negative electrode tab reduce the binding force with respect to the other tab, so that the stress generated at the joint portion during energization increases. can be suppressed.
In addition, the positive electrode tab includes a first bent portion bent toward the negative electrode tab, and a first contact contacting the negative electrode tab on a distal end side of the first bent portion and provided with the first slit. The negative electrode tab has a second bent portion bent toward the positive electrode tab, and the positive electrode tab is in contact with the positive electrode tab on a distal end side of the second bent portion, and the second slit is provided. and a second contact portion extending from the tip of the positive electrode tab to a position closer to the cell body than the first bent portion, and the second slit extends from the tip of the negative electrode tab It may extend from the tip to a position closer to the cell body than the second bent portion.
According to this configuration, in both the positive electrode tab and the negative electrode tab, the slit extends to a position closer to the cell body than the bent portion. can be suppressed from increasing.
Further, the width of the slit may be 1/500 or more and 1/50 or less of the plate width direction dimension of the tab provided with the slit.
According to this configuration, it is possible to suppress an increase in the stress generated in the joint while suppressing the slit from being blocked by the joint.
In the present invention, for an assembled battery in which a positive electrode tab and a negative electrode tab made of different metal materials are joined, at least the tab made of a metal material having a relatively large coefficient of thermal expansion has a joint portion between the positive electrode tab and the negative electrode tab. A slit is formed to divide the plate width direction.
Hereinafter, an assembled battery according to an embodiment of the present invention will be specifically described with reference to the drawings. In addition, this invention is not limited to embodiment described below.
(First embodiment)
The assembled
In the example shown in FIG. 1, the assembled
In this manner, the
A plurality of
In the assembled
Here, the configuration of the
The
The
The
The
Thus, the
Moreover, as shown in FIG. 4, both the
Note that FIG. 4 illustrates the
Here, the structures of the
The
The
The
The
The
For example, the
Moreover, the
For example, the
Moreover, the width of the
The
The
The
The
The
For example, when the joint 30 is a welded portion by laser welding, the scanning direction of laser welding and the extending direction of the
Moreover, the
In the
As described above, the
Here, with reference to FIGS. 10 to 11 and FIGS. 22 to 25, the tab structure (Example 1) in the assembled
In the
Then, in the assembled battery including the
On the other hand, in the assembled
As shown in FIG. 10, in the assembled
As described above, according to the first embodiment, the
In addition, in the assembled
Moreover, the positions of the
Also, the
Moreover, as a modification of the first embodiment, the length of the
As shown in FIG. 13, the stress generated in the joint 30 of this modified example is smaller than that of the comparative example without slits on both the
(Second embodiment)
Next, a second embodiment will be described. In the second embodiment, slits 11 are provided only in the
In the assembled
Further, in the second embodiment, since the
For comparison, when slits are provided in both the
Here, with reference to FIGS. 20 to 21, the tab structure (Example 2) in the assembled
As shown in FIG. 20, in the tab structure of the second embodiment (Example 2), the stress generated on the
As described above, according to the second embodiment, since the
If the slits were provided only in the negative electrode tab having a relatively small coefficient of thermal expansion, the expansion (deformation) of the negative electrode tab would be absorbed by the slits. This negative electrode tab has a structure that is difficult to deform with respect to the positive electrode tab due to the difference in thermal expansion coefficient. As a result, the difference in apparent thermal expansion coefficient (difference in deformation amount) between the positive electrode tab and the negative electrode tab becomes greater, and the stress generated in the joint between the tabs may become greater than in a structure without slits. In this way, when only one of the positive electrode tab and the negative electrode tab is provided with slits, improper selection may result in increased stress at the joint. In contrast, according to the second embodiment, since the
In addition, the
