Description
第1成形部品3及び第2成形部品4は、この電磁場2内の接触面に沿って相互に接触されている。成形部品は、炭素繊維で強化された熱可塑性樹脂から製造されている。電磁場2の影響下で炭素繊維に局所的に熱が発生し、それによって熱可塑性樹脂がその溶融温度を超えて加熱される。プレス手段(図示せず)でプレスすることにより、このように熱活性化された熱可塑性成形部品3,4を接触面5で結合することが可能であり、接触面5での結合は成形部品3、4の冷却後に永続的になる。
図は、加熱中の接触面の温度図をさらに示している。接触面5の位置に対して相対温度Tがプロットされている。
第3方向6は、溶接中にインダクタコイル1が移動する方向を規定する。
温度図は、一定の強度の電磁場2が接触面5に不規則な加熱を引き起こす可能性があることを示しており、多かれ少なかれ放物線状の温度変化が接触面5で観察される。示されている変化は、成形部品(3,4)の特性変化によっても引き起こされる可能性がある。さらに重要なことに、温度図は、インダクタコイル1の移動方向、すなわち溶接Aの方向に対応する方向6の変化も示している。成形部品(3,4)のこの比較的不均一な加熱により、2つの部品の接合も変化する可能性があり、これは、接着又は接合された成形部品3,4のアセンブリの機械的耐荷重能力の低下を意味する場合がある。
加熱の変化により、成形部品(3,4)の局所的な不完全な相互接着及び/又は局所的な過熱によって熱的に劣化された成形部品のセクションが生じる可能性がある。これは一般に望ましくなく、本発明による方法はこの問題の解決策を提供する。
センシングインダクタ10は、放出インダクタ11を含み、そのインダクタコイル12は比較的弱い電磁場13を生成する。この電磁場13は、成形部品(3,4)、特にそれらの接触面5に渦電流14を発生させる。センシングインダクタ10の受信インダクタ15は、放出インダクタ11によって成形部品(3,4)において生成された電磁場強度を、非ゼロの電圧測定値150の形で測定する。
溶接Aの方向又は線に沿ったすべての位置について、センシングインダクタ10の受信インダクタ15によって測定された電磁場強度と、接合に適した電磁場強度との間の差異が求められる。接合に適した電磁場強度は、接合される成形部品(3,4)の接触面5に最適な温度プロファイルを誘導する電磁場強度である。最適な温度プロファイルは、溶接の望ましい一定温度付近での変化が最小のプロファイルである。溶接の望ましい一定温度は、成形部品の材料の特性に関連する幾つかの変数に依存する。
示される方法は、成形部品(3,4)の接触面5に沿って、かつセンシングインダクタ10が事前に移動された溶接Aの方向の同じ経路に沿って、接合インダクタ20を移動させることを含む。
成形部品(3,4)は、圧力16によって互いに押し付けられる。接合インダクタ20は、電磁場23を生成するインダクタコイル22を有する。この場23は、成形部品(3,4)、特にそれらの接触面5に渦電流24を発生させる。渦電流24は、少なくとも接触面5内及びその周辺で、成形部品(3,4)に存在する熱可塑性樹脂を加熱する。この加熱により、成形部品(3、4)内で、少なくとも接触面5内及びその周辺で、成形部品又は複数の部品の熱可塑性樹脂の溶融温度を超える接合温度まで温度が上昇する。
溶接Aの方向又は線に沿ったすべての位置について、センシングインダクタ10の受信インダクタ15によって測定された電磁場強度と接合に適した電磁場強度との間の事前に求められた差異を縮めるように、接合に適した電磁場強度が調整される。これは、接合インダクタ20のコイル22に供給される電力又は電圧25を適合させることによって行われ得る。
接合インダクタ20によって溶接経路に沿って生成される電磁波の電磁場強度のこの一定の調整により、少なくともそれらの接触面5内及びその周辺で、成形部品(3,4)の温度上昇がより一定となる。これにより、より優れるとともにより均一な品質の溶接が可能になる。
Claims (13)
- 電磁溶接によって成形部品を接合するための方法であって、
前記成形部品の接触面の溶接経路に沿って接合インダクタを移動させること、
誘導に反応する前記成形部品の構成要素に電磁場を生成し、前記成形部品の熱活性化結合手段を前記結合手段の溶融温度より高く加熱すること、及び
溶融された前記結合手段によって前記接触面で前記成形部品を互いに接合すること
を含み、
前記溶接経路に沿う溶接の温度を一定にする接合に適した前記電磁場の電磁場強度は、センシングインダクタを前記接触面の前記溶接経路に沿って事前に移動させることによって求められ、
前記センシングインダクタは、
比較的弱い電磁場を生成し、
前記センシングインダクタによって前記成形部品において生成された前記電磁場強度を測定し、
前記溶接経路に沿った位置毎に前記センシングインダクタの測定された電磁場強度と前記接合に適した電磁場強度との間の差異を求め、
前記差異に基づいて、前記成形部品の温度上昇が一定となるように、前記溶接経路に沿った位置毎に前記接合インダクタに供給される電力又は電圧を調整することにより、前記接合に適した電磁場強度を調整する、
方法。 - 前記差異は、前記接触面に沿った移動の幾つかの位置で求められる、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記接合に適した電磁場強度を調整することは、前記接触面に沿って連続的に実行される、
請求項2に記載の方法。 - 前記センシングインダクタは、前記接合インダクタより先に前記接触面に沿って移動される、
請求項1から請求項3までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。 - 前記センシングインダクタ及び前記接合インダクタは、同一のものである、
請求項4に記載の方法。 - 前記センシングインダクタ及び前記接合インダクタは、別々であり、前記接触面に沿って同時に移動される、
請求項4に記載の方法。 - 前記センシングインダクタは、
前記電磁場を生成する放出インダクタと、
前記成形部品において前記センシングインダクタによって生成された前記電磁場強度を測定する受信インダクタと
を備える、
請求項1から請求項6までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。 - 前記成形部品において前記センシングインダクタによって生成された、前記受信インダクタによって測定された前記電磁場強度に対する、前記放出インダクタの影響が考慮される、
請求項7に記載の方法。 - 前記成形部品において前記センシングインダクタによって生成された前記電磁場強度の測定は、前記成形部品のエッジでの短絡によって発生された電流を測定することによって実行される、
請求項1から請求項8までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。 - 前記インダクタは、実質的に円筒形の電磁場を生成する線形誘導セグメントを備える、
請求項1から請求項9までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。 - 前記熱活性化結合手段は、熱可塑性プラスチックを備える、
請求項1から請求項10までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。 - 前記誘導に反応する構成要素は、炭素繊維、金属若しくは強磁性粒子、又はこれらの組み合わせから選択される、
請求項1から請求項11までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。 - 電磁溶接によって成形部品を接合するための装置であって、
前記成形部品の接触面の溶接経路に沿って接合インダクタを移動させるための手段、
誘導に反応する前記成形部品の構成要素に電磁場を生成し、前記成形部品の熱活性化結合手段を前記結合手段の溶融温度より高く加熱するための手段、及び
溶融された前記結合手段によって前記接触面で前記成形部品を互いに接合するための手段
を備え、
前記溶接経路に沿う溶接の温度を一定にする接合に適した前記電磁場の電磁場強度を求めるために構成されたセンシングインダクタをさらに備え、
前記センシングインダクタは、
比較的弱い電磁場を生成して、センシング温度まで前記熱活性化結合手段を僅かに加熱するための手段、
前記センシングインダクタによって前記成形部品において生成された前記電磁場強度を測定するための手段、
前記溶接経路に沿った位置毎に前記センシングインダクタの測定された電磁場強度と前記接合に適した電磁場強度との間の差異を求めるための手段、及び
前記差異に基づいて、前記成形部品の温度上昇が一定となるように、前記溶接経路に沿った位置毎に前記接合インダクタに供給される電力又は電圧を調整することにより、前記接合に適した電磁場強度を調整するための手段
を備える、
