Description
いくつかの効能例を挙げると、以下では、仮眠を含む睡眠を誘導し、神経可塑性を向上させ、発作、TBI、またはmTBIによる脳損傷を治療し、微細運動の制御および反応時間の改善を含めてバランスを改善し、PTSDを治療するのに有効であると実証研究によって分かった刺激パターンの一例を説明する。
以下では、睡眠誘導に有効であると実証研究によって分かった刺激パターンの一例を説明する。実施例2の刺激パターンは、表1に示される治療計画の一部を含む。具体的には、この刺激は、最初に4つのセグメントA出力のブロックを循環し、次いで4つのセグメントB出力のブロックを循環し、次いで4つのセグメントC出力の7つのブロックを循環する。実施例2では、4つのセグメントA出力の最後のブロックが繰り返されない。
いくつかの効能例を挙げると、以下では、アルファ波の脳活動を増大させ、神経可塑性を誘導し、発作、またはTBI、mTBIなどの他の脳損傷を治療し、微細運動の制御および反応時間の改善を含めてバランスを改善し、PTSDを治療するのに有効であると実証研究によって分かった刺激パターンの一例を説明する。
以下では、被験者内のエネルギーレベルを増大させるのに有効であると実証研究によって分かった刺激パターンのさらに別の例を説明する。第1の周波数での光刺激および聴覚刺激は、第1の時間セグメントにおいて与えてもよく、次いで第2の時間セグメントでは、相対的に高い第2周波数で与えてもよく、次いで後続の時間セグメントなどでは、第1の周波数に戻って与えてもよい。各時間セグメントは、光刺激および聴覚刺激の1つまたは複数のサブセグメントを含んでもよく、各サブセグメントは、たとえば、前述のサブルーチンの1つを含む。光刺激および聴覚刺激は、20分など所定期間後に終了してもよい。前述の通り、触覚刺激は、聴覚刺激と同時に与えてもよい。光は、580nmの波長で与えてもよく、周波数が432Hzの音を与えてもよい。
以下の表4は、発明性のある方法の使用についての実験結果を列挙する。この表は、試験または処理されたもの、条件の詳細、被験者の数、および試験の結果を列挙する。それぞれの場合、不眠に関連する問題を治療し、短い睡眠を誘導するための実施例1での刺激および実施例2での刺激を他の全ての治療に使用した。
Claims (12)
- ユーザに刺激を与える装置であって、
前記ユーザの頭部に着用されるように構成されたフレームと、
左の視覚刺激パターンを生成するように構成された左の光源と、
右の視覚刺激パターンを生成するように構成された右の光源と、
左の聴覚刺激パターンを生成するように構成された左の音源と、
右の聴覚刺激パターンを生成するように構成された右の音源と、
前記左の光源、前記右の光源、前記左の音源、および前記右の音源に結合された制御装置と
を備え、
前記制御装置による、前記左の視覚刺激パターン、前記右の視覚刺激パターン、前記左の聴覚刺激パターン、および前記右の聴覚刺激パターンの印加が、1番目のAブロック、2番目のBブロック、3番目のCブロックを含み、前記Aブロックは、
3.9Hzのパルス周波数で、前記ユーザの左眼への左側の光刺激パターン、前記ユーザの右眼への右側の光刺激パターン、前記ユーザの左側への左側の聴覚刺激パターン、および前記ユーザの右側への右側の聴覚刺激パターンを同時に与えるセグメントと、
3.9Hzのパルス周波数で、前記左側の光刺激パターンおよび左側の聴覚刺激パターンを与えることと、前記右側の光刺激パターンおよび右側の聴覚刺激パターンを与えることとを交互に繰り返すセグメントと、
3.9Hzのパルス周波数で、前記左側および右側の光刺激パターンを与えることと、前記左側および右側の聴覚刺激パターンを与えることとを交互に繰り返すセグメントと、
3.9Hzのパルス周波数で、前記左側の光刺激パターンおよび右側の聴覚刺激パターンを与えることと、前記右側の光刺激パターンおよび左側の聴覚刺激パターンを与えることとを交互に繰り返すセグメントと
を含み、
前記Bブロックは、
1.5Hzのパルス周波数で、前記ユーザの左眼への左側の光刺激パターン、前記ユーザの右眼への右側の光刺激パターン、前記ユーザの左側への左側の聴覚刺激パターン、および前記ユーザの右側への右側の聴覚刺激パターンを同時に与えるセグメントと、
1.5Hzのパルス周波数で、前記左側の光刺激パターンおよび左側の聴覚刺激パターンを与えることと、前記右側の光刺激パターンおよび右側の聴覚刺激パターンを与えることとを交互に繰り返すセグメントと、
1.5Hzのパルス周波数で、前記左側および右側の光刺激パターンを与えることと、前記左側および右側の聴覚刺激パターンを与えることとを交互に繰り返すセグメントと、
1.5Hzのパルス周波数で、前記左側の光刺激パターンおよび右側の聴覚刺激パターンを与えることと、前記右側の光刺激パターンおよび左側の聴覚刺激パターンを与えることとを交互に繰り返すセグメントと
を含み、
前記Cブロックは、
0.5Hzのパルス周波数で、前記ユーザの左眼への左側の光刺激パターン、前記ユーザの右眼への右側の光刺激パターン、前記ユーザの左側への左側の聴覚刺激パターン、および前記ユーザの右側への右側の聴覚刺激パターンを同時に与えるセグメントと、
0.5Hzのパルス周波数で、前記左側の光刺激パターンおよび左側の聴覚刺激パターンを与えることと、前記右側の光刺激パターンおよび右側の聴覚刺激パターンを与えることとを交互に繰り返すセグメントと、
0.5Hzのパルス周波数で、前記左側および右側の光刺激パターンを与えることと、前記左側および右側の聴覚刺激パターンを与えることとを交互に繰り返すセグメントと、
0.5Hzのパルス周波数で、前記左側の光刺激パターンおよび右側の聴覚刺激パターンを与えることと、前記右側の光刺激パターンおよび左側の聴覚刺激パターンを与えることとを交互に繰り返すセグメントと
を含む、
装置。 - 前記左または右の聴覚刺激パターンの1つまたは複数が240Hz~480Hzの聴覚周波数を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記左または右の音源の1つまたは複数が、骨伝導トランスデューサを備える、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記制御装置が、外部の制御ユニットと通信し、かつそれによって動作されるように構成される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記外部の制御ユニットが前記制御装置と無線で通信する、請求項4に記載の装置。
- 前記外部の制御ユニットが、パーソナルコンピュータ、ラップトップコンピュータ、タブレットコンピュータ、スマートフォン、またはウェアラブルコンピュータの1つまたは複数を備える、請求項4または5に記載の装置。
- 前記左または右の光源の1つまたは複数が発光ダイオード(LED)を備える、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 神経の疾患もしくは症状を治療するために、感覚的な刺激を生み出す、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記神経の疾患または症状が不眠症、外傷後ストレス障害(PTSD)、痛み、および/または脳損傷を含む、請求項8に記載の装置。
- 活動能力強化をもたらすために、感覚的な刺激を生み出す、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記活動能力強化が、睡眠を与えること、精神的能力の改善、または物理的能力の改善である、請求項10に記載の装置。
