Claims (16)
- 複数のサブピクセルを含む表示パネルと、
前記表示パネルに備えられたスキャンラインへ1フレームのアクティブ期間中にスキャン信号を供給し、前記表示パネルに備えられたセンシングラインへ前記1フレームのブランク期間中のセンシング期間の間にセンシング信号を供給するゲート駆動部と、
前記表示パネルに備えられたデータラインへデータ電圧を供給するデータ駆動部と、
前記ゲート駆動部及び前記データ駆動部を制御するタイミング制御部と、を含み、
前記タイミング制御部は、
第1フレームレートで動作するときの第1アクティブ期間、第1ブランク期間及び第1センシング期間を決定し、第2フレームレートで動作するときの第2アクティブ期間、第2ブランク期間及び第2センシング期間を決定し、
前記第1フレームレートから前記第2フレームレートに動作が変更された場合、前記第1センシング期間及び前記第2センシング期間は同一であり、
前記第1フレームレートは前記第2フレームレートよりも大きく、前記第1アクティブ期間は前記第2アクティブ期間と同一である、表示装置。 - 前記第2ブランク期間は前記第1ブランク期間よりもさらに長い、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第2センシング期間の終了は前記第2ブランク期間の終了と同一である、請求項2に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第2センシング期間の開始時点は、前記第2フレームレートでの1つのフレームが終了する時点から前記第2センシング期間だけ逆算した時点である、請求項2に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1フレームレートから前記第2フレームレートに動作が変更された場合、前記タイミング制御部は、前記第2ブランク期間中にいずれか一つのセンシングラインを選択し、
前記ゲート駆動部は、前記選択されたセンシングラインへ前記第2センシング期間の間に前記センシング信号を供給する、請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記第1フレームレートから前記第2フレームレートに動作が変更された場合、前記タイミング制御部は、前記第2ブランク期間の間に複数のセンシングラインを選択し、
前記ゲート駆動部は、前記選択された複数のセンシングラインへ前記第2センシング期間の間に前記センシング信号を供給する、請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記ゲート駆動部は前記複数のセンシングラインのそれぞれに前記センシング信号を順次供給する、請求項6に記載の表示装置。
- 前記複数のセンシングラインは前記表示パネル上で画素列方向に隣接する、請求項6に記載の表示装置。
- 複数のサブピクセルを含む表示パネルと、前記表示パネルに備えられたスキャンラインへ1フレームのアクティブ期間中にスキャン信号を供給し、前記表示パネルに備えられたセンシングラインへ前記1フレームのブランク期間中のセンシング期間の間にセンシング信号を供給するゲート駆動部と、前記表示パネルに備えられたデータラインへデータ電圧を供給するデータ駆動部と、前記ゲート駆動部及び前記データ駆動部を制御するタイミング制御部と、を含む表示装置の補償方法であって、
フレームレートによるアクティブ期間、ブランク期間、及びセンシング期間を決定するステップと、
第1フレームレートから第2フレームレートに変更するステップと、
第1センシング期間と同じ第2センシング期間の間にサブピクセルをセンシングするステップと、を含み、
前記第1フレームレートは前記第2フレームレートよりも大きく、第1アクティブ期間は第2アクティブ期間と同一である、表示装置の補償方法。 - 第2ブランク期間は第1ブランク期間よりもさらに長い、請求項9に記載の表示装置の補償方法。
- 前記第2センシング期間の終了は前記第2ブランク期間の終了と同一である、請求項10に記載の表示装置の補償方法。
- 前記サブピクセルをセンシングするステップは、
前記第2フレームレートでの1つのフレームが終了する時点から前記第2センシング期間だけ逆算した時点に前記第2センシング期間を開始するステップを含む、請求項10に記載の表示装置の補償方法。 - 前記サブピクセルをセンシングするステップは、
前記第1フレームレートから前記第2フレームレートに変更された場合、第2ブランク期間中にいずれか一つのセンシングラインを選択するステップと、
前記選択されたセンシングラインのサブピクセルへ前記第2センシング期間の間にセンシング信号を供給してセンシングするステップを含む、請求項9に記載の表示装置の補償方法。 - 前記サブピクセルをセンシングするステップは、
前記第1フレームレートから前記第2フレームレートに変更された場合、第2ブランク期間の間に複数のセンシングラインを選択するステップと、
前記選択された複数のセンシングラインのサブピクセルへ前記第2センシング期間の間にセンシング信号を供給してセンシングするステップと、を含む、請求項9に記載の表示装置の補償方法。 - 前記センシング信号を供給してセンシングするステップは、
前記複数のセンシングラインのそれぞれに前記センシング信号を順次供給してセンシングするステップを含む、請求項14に記載の表示装置の補償方法。 - 前記複数のセンシングラインは表示パネル上で画素列方向に隣接する、請求項14に記載の表示装置の補償方法。
