Description
エアロゾルの液滴サイズを説明するために当該技術分野において、いくつかの測定が使用される。これらは、質量中央径(MMD)および空気力学的質量中央径(MMAD)を含む。本明細書で使用される「質量中央径(MMD)」という用語は、半分の質量のエアロゾルが小径の液滴に含まれ、また半分の大径の液滴に含まれるような液滴の直径を意味するために使用される。本明細書で使用される「空気力学的質量中央径(MMAD)」という用語は、エアロゾルの中央質量の液滴と同一の空気力学的特性を有する単位密度の球の直径を意味するために使用される。
Claims (15)
- エアロゾル発生装置であって、前記エアロゾル発生装置は、
液体エアロゾル形成基体を保持するための液体貯蔵部分と、
液体エアロゾル形成基体を霧化してエアロゾルを発生するための表面弾性波アトマイザーと、を備え、
前記表面弾性波アトマイザーは、霧化領域と、前記霧化領域を含む前記表面弾性波アトマイザーの表面に沿って伝搬する表面弾性波を発生するように構成された少なくとも一つの変換器とを備え、前記霧化領域は、親水性区域を含み、
前記エアロゾル発生装置は、更に
液体エアロゾル形成基体を前記液体貯蔵部分から前記霧化領域に供給するように配置された供給要素と、
前記表面弾性波アトマイザーの動作を制御するように構成された制御システムと、
を備える、エアロゾル発生装置。 - 前記親水性区域は、前記霧化領域の表面処理により形成される、請求項1に記載のエアロゾル発生装置。
- 前記霧化領域の外側の前記表面弾性波アトマイザーの少なくとも1つの領域は、疎水性である、請求項1又は2に記載のエアロゾル発生装置。
- 前記霧化領域における前記表面弾性波アトマイザーの表面は、へこみを付けられている、請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載のエアロゾル発生装置。
- 前記少なくとも1つの変換器は、圧電基板上に配置された電極を備えるインターデジタル変換器である、請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載のエアロゾル発生装置。
- 前記少なくとも1つの変換器は、前記発生した表面弾性波を前記霧化領域内に位置する焦点合わせゾーン上へと焦点合わせするための湾曲した電極を備える焦点合わせ変換器である、請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載のエアロゾル発生装置。
- 前記霧化領域は、前記表面弾性波アトマイザーの縁まで延びる、請求項1から6のいずれか1項に記載のエアロゾル発生装置。
- 前記供給要素の一部分は、前記表面弾性波アトマイザーの前記霧化領域と隣接して配置され、かつ前記供給要素の別の部分は前記液体貯蔵部分に流体接続可能である、請求項1から7のいずれか1項に記載のエアロゾル発生装置。
- 前記供給要素は、前記表面弾性波アトマイザーの前記霧化領域に液体エアロゾル形成基体を供給するための毛細管作用を有する毛細管要素である、請求項1から8のいずれか1項に記載のエアロゾル発生装置。
- 前記表面弾性波アトマイザーは、更に第2の変換器を備え、前記第2の変換器は、前記霧化領域の物理的情報を表す電気的信号を発生するように、又は更なる表面弾性波を発生するように構成される、請求項1から9のいずれか1項に記載のエアロゾル発生装置。
- 液体エアロゾル形成基体を加熱するように配置されたヒーターを更に備える、請求項1から10のいずれか1項に記載のエアロゾル発生装置。
- 前記液体貯蔵部分、前記表面弾性波アトマイザー、及び前記供給要素は、カートリッジの一部を形成し、かつ前記エアロゾル発生装置は前記カートリッジを受けるためのくぼみを有するハウジングを更に備える、請求項1から11のいずれか1項に記載のエアロゾル発生装置。
- エアロゾル発生システムのためのカートリッジであって、前記カートリッジは、
液体エアロゾル形成基体を保持するための液体貯蔵部分と、
液体エアロゾル形成基体を霧化してエアロゾルを発生するための表面弾性波アトマイザーと、を備え、
前記表面弾性波アトマイザーは、霧化領域と、前記霧化領域を含む前記表面弾性波アトマイザーの表面に沿って伝搬する表面弾性波を発生するように構成された少なくとも一つの変換器とを備え、前記霧化領域は、親水性区域を含み、
前記カートリッジは、液体エアロゾル形成基体を前記液体貯蔵部分から前記霧化領域に供給するように配置された供給要素を更に備える、
カートリッジ。 - 請求項13に記載のカートリッジを備えるエアロゾル発生システムであって、エアロゾル発生装置が、
前記カートリッジを受けるためのくぼみを有するハウジングと、
前記表面弾性波アトマイザーの動作を制御するように構成された制御システムと、
を備える、エアロゾル発生システム。 - 前記カートリッジは、前記エアロゾル発生装置に取り外し可能に結合されることができる、請求項14に記載のエアロゾル発生システム。
