組織および包埋剤を備える包埋した試料を、少なくとも1つの光源で照射して、第1の蛍光発光および第2の蛍光発光を生成するステップと、
第1の蛍光発光および第2の蛍光発光を検知するステップと、
第1の蛍光発光および第2の蛍光発光に基づいて、包埋した試料中の組織の少なくとも一部分の位置を判定するステップとを含む、方法。
直線運動に適合された試料ホルダ、ナイフホルダ、および、試料ホルダの反対にあるナイフホルダにより保持されるナイフを備え、その結果、試料ホルダが直線的に動く際、試料ホルダにより保持された試料がナイフによって薄く切られ、組織切片を形成するミクロトームと、
試料ホルダに向けられた少なくとも1つの光源と、

Claims (11)
- 包埋した試料中の組織の位置を判定する方法であって、
約200nm~約600nmの波長範囲の中から選ばれる所定の励起波長を有する光で、包埋した試料を照射するステップであって、前記包埋した試料は、組織および包埋剤を備える、前記ステップと、
前記包埋した試料の第1の蛍光発光および第2の蛍光発光を検知するステップと、
前記第1の蛍光発光および第2の蛍光発光に基づいて、前記包埋した試料表面の組織領域の位置を判定するステップとを含む、方法。 - 前記包埋剤はパラフィンであり、または、前記包埋した試料は、ホルマリンで固定しパラフィン包埋した組織塊である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の蛍光発光および第2の蛍光発光は、カメラを備える撮像装置を使用して検知される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の蛍光発光および第2の蛍光発光のデジタル画像を、前記包埋した試料表面の組織領域の位置を判定するために使用する、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記デジタル画像の画素強度を、前記包埋した試料表面の組織領域の位置を判定するために使用する、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記表面の組織領域の前記位置を判定したのちに、前記包埋した試料から切片を薄く切る、または切除するステップをさらに含む、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記組織切片を、少なくとも1つの染料で染色するステップを含む、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記光は、約250nm~約450nmの波長を有している、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の蛍光発光は、前記包埋剤の蛍光発光である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第2の蛍光発光は、前記組織の成分の自家蛍光により生成される、請求項1から請求項9のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記成分はエラスチンまたはコラーゲンである、請求項10に記載の方法。
