Description
図1は、第1の実施形態に係る表面改質方法の一例を示すフローチャートである。第1の実施形態に係る表面改質方法は、図1に示すように、接触ステップS11と、グラフティングステップS12と、を含む。第1の実施形態に係る表面改質方法は、さらに、図1に示すように、洗浄ステップS13を含むことが好ましい。なお、グラフティング(Grafting)とは、一定の形状を有する材料と分子鎖とが、分子間力等による弱い接着ではなく、共有結合によって強い結合が形成されることを指す。
図4は、第2の実施形態に係る接着方法の一例を示すフローチャートである。第2の実施形態に係る接着方法は、第1の実施形態に係る表面改質方法において、その後ろに部材配置ステップS21と接着ステップS22とを追加する変更をしたものである。第2の実施形態に係る接着方法の詳細な説明では、第1の実施形態に係る表面改質方法と同様の構成については第1の実施形態と同様の符号を用い、その詳細な説明を省略する。
図9は、第3の実施形態に係る接着方法の別の一例を示すフローチャートである。第3の実施形態に係る接着方法は、第2の実施形態に係る接着方法において、部材配置ステップS21を対向配置ステップS31に変更し、この変更に伴い接着ステップS22を接着ステップS32に変更したものである。第2の実施形態に係る接着方法の詳細な説明では、第2の実施形態に係る接着方法と同様の構成については第2の実施形態と同様の符号を用い、その詳細な説明を省略する。
図12は、実施例及び比較例に用いられる試験片100を説明する説明図である。第1の実施例用いられる試験片100は、図12に示すように、板状であり、長手方向において長さL、長手方向に直交する一方の方向である幅方向において幅W、並びに、長手方向及び幅方向に直交する厚さ方向において厚さTの各パラメータを用いて説明される。
比較例2に係る試料221(図20参照)を、比較例1に係る試料211と同様の方法で作製した。比較例2に係る試料221は、比較例1に係る試料211において、採用した2枚の高分子材料10の大きさを長さ40mm、幅5mm、厚さ1mmと変更し、表面10aの対向している領域の大きさを長さ10mm、幅5mmと変更したものであり、その他の作製条件は比較例1に係る試料211と同じとした。

Claims (11)
- 強化繊維にケトン基を有する高分子化合物を含浸させて形成した複合材料の表面を改質する方法であって、
前記複合材料の表面の高分子化合物に、エポキシ基と不飽和結合含有基とを有する有機化合物を接触させる接触ステップと、
前記有機化合物を接触させた状態で前記高分子化合物に光エネルギーを照射することで、前記高分子化合物のケトン基を構成する炭素原子をラジカル化させて、ラジカル化させた前記高分子化合物のケトン基を構成する炭素原子と二重結合を形成していた酸素原子をヒドロキシ基に変化させて、ラジカル化させた前記高分子化合物のケトン基を構成する炭素原子を前記有機化合物の不飽和結合含有基と反応させることにより、前記有機化合物に基づくエポキシ基を有する有機化合物鎖を前記高分子化合物のケトン基があった箇所にグラフティングして、前記複合材料の前記高分子化合物がある前記表面を接着可能に改質するグラフティングステップと、
を含むことを特徴とする表面改質方法。 - 前記高分子化合物は、ケトン基を含む芳香族ケトン基を有し、
前記グラフティングステップでは、前記有機化合物に基づくエポキシ基を有する有機化合物鎖を前記高分子化合物の芳香族ケトン基があった箇所にグラフティングすることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表面改質方法。 - 前記有機化合物は、エポキシ基を含むグリシジル基を有し、
前記グラフティングステップでは、前記有機化合物に基づくグリシジル基を有する有機化合物鎖を前記高分子化合物にグラフティングすることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の表面改質方法。 - 前記有機化合物は、不飽和結合含有基を含むメタクリル酸基を有し、
前記グラフティングステップでは、ラジカル化させた前記高分子化合物のケトン基を前記有機化合物のメタクリル酸基と反応させることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の表面改質方法。 - 強化繊維にケトン基を有する高分子化合物を含浸させて形成した複合材料に部材を接着する方法であって、
前記複合材料の表面の高分子化合物に、エポキシ基と不飽和結合含有基とを有する有機化合物を接触させる接触ステップと、
前記有機化合物を接触させた状態で前記高分子化合物に光エネルギーを照射することで、前記高分子化合物のケトン基を構成する炭素原子をラジカル化させて、ラジカル化させた前記高分子化合物のケトン基を構成する炭素原子と二重結合を形成していた酸素原子をヒドロキシ基に変化させて、ラジカル化させた前記高分子化合物のケトン基を構成する炭素原子を前記有機化合物の不飽和結合含有基と反応させることにより、前記有機化合物に基づくエポキシ基を有する有機化合物鎖を前記高分子化合物のケトン基があった箇所にグラフティングして、前記複合材料の前記高分子化合物がある前記表面を接着可能に改質した前記複合材料を得るグラフティングステップと、
改質した前記複合材料の前記高分子化合物がある前記表面に、前記部材を接触して配置する部材配置ステップと、
前記高分子化合物にグラフティングされたエポキシ基を開環反応させることにより、前記部材を前記複合材料の前記高分子化合物がある前記表面に接着する接着ステップと、
を含むことを特徴とする接着方法。 - 強化繊維にケトン基を有する高分子化合物を含浸させて形成した複合材料同士を接着する方法であって、
前記複合材料の表面の高分子化合物に、エポキシ基と不飽和結合含有基とを有する有機化合物を接触させる接触ステップと、
前記有機化合物を接触させた状態で前記高分子化合物に光エネルギーを照射することで、前記高分子化合物のケトン基を構成する炭素原子をラジカル化させて、ラジカル化させた前記高分子化合物のケトン基を構成する炭素原子と二重結合を形成していた酸素原子をヒドロキシ基に変化させて、ラジカル化させた前記高分子化合物のケトン基を構成する炭素原子を前記有機化合物の不飽和結合含有基と反応させることにより、前記有機化合物に基づくエポキシ基を有する有機化合物鎖を前記高分子化合物のケトン基があった箇所にグラフティングして、前記複合材料の前記高分子化合物がある前記表面を接着可能に改質した前記複合材料を得るグラフティングステップと、
改質した前記複合材料の前記高分子化合物がある前記表面同士を対向して重ね合わせて配置する対向配置ステップと、
前記高分子化合物にグラフティングされたエポキシ基を開環反応させることにより、前記複合材料の前記高分子化合物がある前記表面同士を接着する接着ステップと、
を含むことを特徴とする接着方法。 - 前記接着ステップの前に、接着する面に、前記高分子化合物にグラフティングされたエポキシ基の開環反応を促すアミン基を有する硬化剤を添加することを特徴とする請求項5または請求項6に記載の接着方法。
- 前記接着ステップの前に、接着する面に、さらに、エポキシ基を有する接着剤を添加することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の接着方法。
- 強化繊維にケトン基を有する高分子化合物が含浸され、前記高分子化合物のケトン基を構成する炭素原子がラジカル化されて、ラジカル化された前記高分子化合物のケトン基を構成する炭素原子と二重結合を形成していた酸素原子がヒドロキシ基に変化した複合材料と、
前記複合材料の表面の高分子化合物において、前記高分子化合物のケトン基を構成する炭素原子のある箇所に、不飽和結合含有基に含まれる不飽和結合がラジカル反応してグラフティングされた、エポキシ基を有する複数の有機化合物鎖と、
を含み、
複数の前記有機化合物鎖により、前記複合材料の前記高分子化合物がある前記表面が接着可能に改質されていることを特徴とする表面改質材料。 - 強化繊維にケトン基を有する高分子化合物が含浸され、前記高分子化合物のケトン基を構成する炭素原子がラジカル化されて、ラジカル化された前記高分子化合物のケトン基を構成する炭素原子と二重結合を形成していた酸素原子がヒドロキシ基に変化した複合材料と、
前記複合材料の表面の高分子化合物において、前記高分子化合物のケトン基を構成する炭素原子のある箇所に、不飽和結合含有基に含まれる不飽和結合がラジカル反応してグラフティングされた、エポキシ基の開環反応によって生じるヒドロキシ基を有する複数の有機化合物鎖と、
前記有機化合物鎖を介して前記複合材料と結合された部材と、
を含むことを特徴とする接合体。 - 強化繊維にケトン基を有する高分子化合物が含浸され、前記高分子化合物のケトン基を構成する炭素原子がラジカル化されて、ラジカル化された前記高分子化合物のケトン基を構成する炭素原子と二重結合を形成していた酸素原子がヒドロキシ基に変化した複数の複合材料と、
前記複合材料の表面の高分子化合物において、前記高分子化合物のケトン基を構成する炭素原子のある箇所に、不飽和結合含有基に含まれる不飽和結合がラジカル反応してグラフティングされた、エポキシ基の開環反応によって生じるヒドロキシ基を有する複数の有機化合物鎖と、
を含み、
一対の有機化合物鎖を介して複数の前記複合材料が結合されていることを特徴とする接合体。
