Description

選択された神経経路に第1電極から電気刺激を加えて遠心性神経反応を誘発するステップと、
電気刺激によって誘発される神経経路における低速神経反応を測定するステップと、
低速神経反応に基づいて、刺激に対する少なくとも1つの筋肉の運動反応を評価するステップと
を含む方法を提供する。
神経経路に隣接して配置され、かつ神経経路に電気刺激を加えて遠心性神経反応を誘発するように構成された少なくとも1つの刺激電極と、
神経経路に隣接して配置され、かつ電気刺激によって誘発される神経経路における低速神経反応を測定するように構成された少なくとも1つの検知電極と、
低速神経反応に基づいて、刺激に対する少なくとも1つの筋肉の運動反応を評価するプロセッサと
を含む神経刺激装置を提供する。
Claims (11)
- 神経経路に隣接して配置され、かつ前記神経経路に電気刺激を加えて遠心性神経反応を誘発するように構成された少なくとも1つの刺激電極と、
前記神経経路に隣接して配置され、かつ前記電気刺激によって誘発される前記神経経路における低速神経反応を測定するように構成された少なくとも1つの検知電極と、
前記低速神経反応に基づいて、前記刺激に対する少なくとも1つの筋肉の運動反応を評価するプロセッサと
を含み、さらに、前記プロセッサが、関連する筋線維集団の動員された部分を疲労させるのに十分な期間にわたって第1レベルで電気刺激を加え、その後、前記筋線維集団のさらなる部分を動員および評価するために、増大したレベルで刺激を加えるように構成された、神経刺激装置。 - 前記低速神経反応を用いて神経経路の位置を特定しかつ電極を最適に位置決めするために術中に適用されるように構成された、請求項1に記載の神経刺激装置。
- さらに、前記プロセッサが、前記筋線維集団の各部分の動員の特性を利用するために、さまざまな刺激レベルで筋線維を疲労させるように構成された、請求項1または2に記載の神経刺激装置。
- さらに、前記プロセッサが、いずれの筋肉群が前記刺激によって動員されているかを判断するために、前記低速神経反応のパターンまたは形態を評価するように構成された、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の神経刺激装置。
- さらに、前記プロセッサが、刺激に対する高速神経反応を測定するよう構成され、前記高速神経反応が、刺激後の0~2.5msの期間に観察される前記神経反応である、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の神経刺激装置。
- 前記低速神経反応が、刺激後の2~15msの期間中に観察される前記神経反応を含む、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の神経刺激装置。
- さらに、前記プロセッサが、運動活動を刺激するかまたは運動活動を抑制するために運動反応を優先的に誘発するように前記刺激を加えるよう構成される、請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載の神経刺激装置。
- 前記神経経路が仙骨神経を含む、請求項1~7のいずれか一項に記載の神経刺激装置。
- 前記神経経路が胃のペーシングに使用される、請求項1~8のいずれか一項に記載の神経刺激装置。
- 前記神経経路が機能的電気刺激(FES)に使用される、請求項1~9のいずれか一項に記載の神経刺激装置。
- 前記神経経路が多裂筋のペーシングに使用される、請求項1~10のいずれか一項に記載の神経刺激装置。
