この方法は、遠赤外線を発し、且つプラズモン共鳴に基づく電子移動を生じるナノ粒子を少なくとも2種含有する繊維を含む衣類を着用することを含む、(1)睡眠効率値の増加、(2)中途覚醒数の低下、(3)中途覚醒時間の低下、(4)浅睡眠率(例えば、REM睡眠率)の低下、及び(5)深睡眠率(例えば、Non―REM睡眠率)の増加、の少なくとも一つを含む、睡眠の質の向上方法と表現することも可能である。またこの方法は、睡眠時の副交感神経活動の亢進方法と言い換えることもできる。
[衣類の製造]
(実施例1)
ダイヤモンドナノ粒子(ND)及びプラチナナノ粒子(NP)をそれぞれ0.01mg/kg以上、0.0001mg/kg以上を含むポリエステル繊維を製造した。このポリエステル繊維におけるナノ粒子は、平均粒径が20nmで、形状がRound(円形)のプラチナナノ粒子と、平均粒径が120nmで、形状がOval(楕円形)のダイヤモンドナノ粒子が含まれていた。得られたポリエステル繊維を20質量%、及び上記粒子を含有しない一般ポリエステル繊維を80質量%の割合で混合し、寝衣(半そでシャツ、長ズボン)を製造した(被験衣)。
上記粒子を含有しない一般ポリエステル繊維を用いて、寝衣(半そでシャツ、長ズボン)を製造した(対象衣)。
本研究の内容を説明し、同意を得られた一般健常男性14名を対象とした。被験者に、上記実施例1及び比較例1の寝衣をそれぞれ着てもらい、ウェアラブル心拍変動測定器(商品名:Silmee、TDK株式会社製)をゲルパットで胸部に貼り付け、心拍間隔の変動データを取得後、PCを使用して取得データを元に専用ソフトウェアにて睡眠の質(睡眠効率、中途覚醒数、及び中途覚醒時間)について自動で解析を行った。結果を表1に示す。表1において、睡眠効率は、数値が高い方が睡眠の質が高いことを示し、中途覚醒数及び中途覚醒時間は、数値が低い方が、副交感神経活動が活発であり、良質な睡眠が得られていることを示す。

- 楕円形のダイヤモンドナノ粒子及び円形のプラチナナノ粒子をそれぞれ0.01mg/kg、0.0001mg/kgを含む繊維(ダイヤモンドナノ粒子及びプラチナナノ粒子を付着させた繊維を除く。)を含む、睡眠の質を向上させる衣類であって、
0.002のP値が生じる睡眠効率の向上、0.002のP値が生じる中途覚醒数の低下、及び0.003のP値が生じる中途覚醒時間の短縮の少なくとも1つ、又は0.03のP値が生じるREM睡眠率の低減により、睡眠の質を向上させる、衣類。 - 寝衣である、請求項1に記載に記載の衣類。
