Claims (9)
- 断面内径を有する連続管腔を含む予め定められた長さのガイドカテーテルと共に使用するためのガイド延長カテーテルであって、
前記ガイドカテーテルの連続管腔の前記断面内径を通して挿入可能であるようなサイズにされた断面外径を有する円形断面を有し、かつ非観血心臓病デバイスがそれを通って挿入可能である断面内径を有する同軸管腔を定める細長チューブ部材と、
前記チューブ部材が前記ガイドカテーテルを通して進められることを可能にするほど十分に剛性であるプッシュ部材であって、該プッシュ部材が、該細長チューブの近位であり、かつそれに作動可能に接続され、該プッシュ部材が、該チューブ部材の前記断面外径よりも小さい近位部分での最大断面直径を有し、かつ該チューブ部材の長さと組み合わされた時に該ガイドカテーテルよりも長い長さを有し、そのために該チューブ部材の少なくとも遠位部分が該ガイドカテーテルの遠位端の遠位に延ばされる時に該プッシュ部材の該近位部分の少なくとも一部分が該チューブ部材の前記同軸管腔を通して挿入可能な前記非観血心臓病デバイスと共通の止血バルブを通って近位に延びる前記プッシュ部材と、
前記プッシュ部材に結合された操作部材であって、ユーザによる手の保持がない状態での使用中にその位置を固定するための手段を含む前記操作部材と、

前記操作部材を固定するための前記手段は、外部物体の少なくとも一部分に取り付けるように構成された少なくとも1つの結合部材を含むことを特徴とするガイド延長カテーテル。 - 前記操作部材は、前記プッシュ部材の近位端に結合されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のガイド延長カテーテル。
- 前記少なくとも1つの結合部材は、前記外部物体を受け入れて捕捉するように構成された可撓性クリップ又はクランプを含むことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のガイド延長カテーテル。
- 前記少なくとも1つの結合部材は、前記操作部材の本体に固定された第1の端部と該操作部材の該本体と解除可能に係合可能な第2の端部とを含むタブを含むことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のガイド延長カテーテル。
- 前記タブは、前記第1の端部と前記第2の端部の間の可撓性部分を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項4に記載のガイド延長カテーテル。
- 前記タブの前記第2の端部は、該タブの面から延びて前記操作部材の前記本体によって定められた開口内に挿入可能である突起を通じて該操作部材の該本体と解除可能に係合するように構成されることを特徴とする請求項4又は5に記載のガイド延長カテーテル。
- 前記操作部材を固定するための前記手段は、前記チューブ部材と前記プッシュ部材を組み合わせたものと少なくとも同程度に前記操作部材を重み付けすることを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のガイド延長カテーテル。
- 前記操作部材は、包含的に約1オンスから約8オンスの重さがあることを特徴とする請求項7に記載のガイド延長カテーテル。
- 前記チューブ部材の前記近位部分は、長手軸線に沿った距離にわたって延びて該近位部分が前記ガイドカテーテルの前記連続管腔内に位置付けられている間に前記非観血心臓病デバイスを前記同軸管腔の中に受け入れるために該長手軸線に対して横断方向に定められた長手側面からアクセス可能な近位側面開口部を定める構造を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項8のいずれか1項に記載のガイド延長カテーテル。
