The simulated body odor composition of the present invention can reproduce the body odor that adheres to, accumulates and remains on clothing.

TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a simulated body odor composition that reproduces the body odor that adheres to, accumulates and remains on clothes, especially underwear that is worn everyday, T-shirts and other clothes that come into direct contact with the skin, and an odor evaluation method using the same. be.
As used herein, the term "body odor" refers to a relatively greasy odor that is mainly felt on the chest, neck, and back of clothing such as underwear. In this specification, the term "pseudo-body odor" is a quasi-reproduction of a relatively greasy odor that is mainly felt on the chest, neck, and back of clothing such as underwear.
Unpleasant odors that adhere to, accumulate and remain on clothes include armpit odors and very sour odors derived from sweat and bacteria, but these are different from the body odors described in this specification.

[4-ethyloctanoic acid: (A) component]
4-Ethyloctanoic acid is a component known as an unpleasant odor component, and as an odor component, it produces an animal odor. By including this component in the simulated body odor composition of the present invention, the reproducibility of the body odor that adheres/accumulates and remains on clothes after wearing, particularly the body odor derived from the sebum that adheres/remains on clothes after wearing, is improved. increase. This is because the animalic odor emitted by 4-ethyloctanoic acid reproduces the odor of clothes (an old-fashioned odor of old clothes), which is not the odor caused by other lower fatty acids.
The amount of 4-ethyloctanoic acid in the simulated body odor composition of the present invention is not particularly limited, but is preferably 0.01 to 0.2% by mass, preferably 0.01 to 0.01%, based on the total mass of the simulated body odor composition. 0.1% by mass is more preferred. When the blending amount of 4-ethyloctanoic acid is within the range of 0.01 to 0.2% by mass, the odor is not too strong, and it is suitable for reproducing the body odor that adheres and remains on clothes.

[3-methyl-2-hexenoic acid: component (B)]
3-Methyl-2-hexenoic acid is known in studies of the causative agent of armpit odor as the component responsible for the fatty acid odor of old rags. It is said that 3-methyl-2-hexenoic acid and glutamine-bound secretions are decomposed by skin bacteria to generate odor. This odor becomes part of the underarm odor.
Odors that adhere to, accumulate and remain on worn clothing include those due to lower fatty acids having 3 to 10 carbon atoms. For example, acetic acid has the sour odor of sweat, isovaleric acid has a unique pungent odor added to the sweat-like fatty acid odor, and hexanoic acid also exists as a sweaty fatty acid. However, the odor of 3-methyl-2-hexenoic acid resembles that of armpit odor. When this component is added to the simulated body odor composition of the present invention, the reproducibility of the odor of the component that adheres to the armpits of clothes is enhanced, and the reproducibility of the simulated body odor composition that also contains elements of armpit odor is enhanced.
The amount of 3-methyl-2-hexenoic acid in the simulated body odor composition of the present invention is not particularly limited, but is preferably 0.01 to 0.3% by mass relative to the total weight of the simulated body odor composition, and 0 .1 to 0.2% by mass is more preferable. When the amount of 3-methyl-2-hexenoic acid is within the range of 0.01 to 0.3% by mass, the characteristics of the armpit odor are not excessive, and the body odor is reproduced in a well-balanced odor. The odor of 4-ethyloctanoic acid, which reproduces the greasy odor that accumulates and remains and the odor of clothes, can be sufficiently left.

[Lower fatty acid having 3 to 10 carbon atoms: component (C)]
A lower fatty acid having 3 to 10 carbon atoms is an odorous component detected in collected undergarments. In addition, in the simulated body odor composition of the present invention, 4-ethyloctanoic acid, 3-methyl-2-hexenoic acid and nonanoic acid are also lower fatty acids having 3 to 10 carbon atoms, so these specific components are included. In the simulated body odor composition, lower fatty acids having 3 to 10 carbon atoms refer to those other than the specific component. For example, in one aspect, the lower fatty acid with 3 to 10 carbon atoms can be a lower fatty acid with 3 to 10 carbon atoms other than 4-ethyloctanoic acid, and in another aspect, the lower fatty acid with 3 to 10 carbon atoms is , 4-ethyloctanoic acid, 3-methyl-2-hexenoic acid and nonanoic acid.
In the simulated body odor composition of the present invention, one or more lower fatty acids having 3 to 10 carbon atoms can be blended.
Specific examples of lower fatty acids having 3 to 10 carbon atoms that can be contained in the simulated body odor composition of the present invention include 3-methyl-2-hexenoic acid, nonanoic acid, acetic acid, butyric acid, isobutyric acid, isovaleric acid, and hexanoic acid. , heptanoic acid, octanoic acid, 4-methyl-3-hexenoic acid, 3-hydroxy-3-methylhexanoic acid, decanoic acid, pentanoic acid and the like, but are not limited thereto.
In the simulated body odor composition of the present invention, the amount of the lower fatty acid having 3 to 10 carbon atoms is not particularly limited, but it is preferably 0.1% by mass or less, and 0.05% by mass, based on the total mass of the simulated body odor composition. % or less is more preferable.

[Nonanoic acid: component (D)]
Among lower fatty acids having 3 to 10 carbon atoms, nonanoic acid is the most characteristic component detected in collected undergarments.
The amount of nonanoic acid in the simulated body odor composition of the present invention is not particularly limited, but is preferably 0.01 to 0.1% by mass, more preferably 0.01 to 0.05% by mass, based on the total mass of the simulated body odor composition. preferable.

本発明の擬似体臭組成物において、上記(A)、(B)、(C)及び(D)成分の配合割合は、特に限定されないが、(A)、(B)、(C)及び(D)の質量比が、(A):(B):(C):(D)=1~10:10~30:1~5:1~10であることが好ましい。 In the simulated body odor composition of the present invention, the mixing ratio of the components (A), (B), (C) and (D) is not particularly limited, but (A), (B), (C) and (D) ) is preferably (A):(B):(C):(D)=1-10:10-30:1-5:1-10. Within such a blending ratio range, the body odor that adheres, accumulates and remains on clothing can be more faithfully reproduced.

[solvent]
A solvent may be incorporated in the simulated body odor composition of the present invention. The solvent is not particularly limited as long as it does not affect the simulated body odor of the body odor composition of the present invention. Examples include triethyl citrate (TEC), dipropylene glycol (DPG), ethylene glycol monobutyl ether (BEG ) and the like.
The amount of the solvent in the simulated body odor composition of the present invention is not particularly limited, but it is preferably 90.0 to 99.9% by mass, more preferably 99.0 to 99.9% by mass, based on the total mass of the simulated body odor composition. % is more preferred.

[Evaluation method]
The body odor similarity of the simulated body odor composition of the present invention can be determined by judging the reproducibility and similarity of the odor of the mixed components using a panel of 3 to 10 experts.
Specifically, the prepared simulated body odor composition is applied to odor paper, and immediately after that, the odor paper is smelled and evaluated. The adjusted simulated body odor composition of the present invention can more accurately reproduce various body odors that actually adhere to, accumulate and remain on clothing. Therefore, the simulated body odor composition of the present invention can be used to evaluate the simulated body odor that adheres to, accumulates and remains on clothes. Furthermore, the simulated body odor composition of the present invention can be used to accurately and simply evaluate the effect of masking or deodorizing body odors that adhere to, accumulate and remain on clothing. In other words, the simulated body odor composition of the present invention can be used to efficiently screen for substances that have a masking or deodorizing effect on body odors that adhere to, accumulate and remain on clothing.
Evaluation of deodorization of body odor remaining on clothes using the simulated body odor composition of the present invention, i.e., evaluation of body odor strength, can be performed by, for example, preparing a sealed vial with a known capacity, A cotton ball is put in, a specified amount of a simulated body odor composition is added, the odor is smelled, and then a test sample (substance with deodorant action) is added, and the odor is compared. be able to. In addition, the body odor deodorizing effect of the subject may be evaluated by actually using cotton clothing or synthetic fiber clothing as a cloth to be coated with the simulated body odor composition.

Put one cotton ball (No. 14) in a 30 mL vial bottle, and add a 10-fold concentrated composition of the simulated body odor composition to triethyl citrate (TEC: triethyl citrate reagent) as shown in Table 4 below. ) was added dropwise, and the tube was tightly stoppered and left at room temperature for 1 hour. After that, the odor of the headspace was evaluated by three expert panelists according to the criteria shown below, and the top score was determined by discussion. 3 points are preferred.
In Examples 6 to 9 listed in Table 4 below, the 10-fold concentrated composition of the simulated body odor composition of Example 1 listed in Table 3 was diluted with TEC at each of the described mixing ratios. It was tested for the odor intensity of the vial bottle opening. The results are shown in Table 4 below.
(Evaluation criteria for 6-step odor intensity)
5 points: strong odor 4 points: strong odor 3 points: easily perceivable odor 2 points: weak odor that can be identified (cognitive threshold concentration)
1 point: Barely detectable odor (detection threshold concentration)
0 points: odorless
