Description

The present invention relates to a simulated body odor composition and an evaluation method using the same.

In recent years, an increase in the number of people who sport, and clothes that are worn during sports (for example, chemical fibers) tend to leave sweaty odors and body odors. The number of people is increasing.
For the purpose of developing a fabric care product for such body odor, it is desired to develop a body odor model odor for reproducing the body odor adhering to and remaining on clothing and establishing a screening method.

The simulated body odor composition described in Patent Document 1 is intended to reproduce the actual sweat odor, in particular, the unique odor derived from the secretions of the apocrine glands, and is specialized in the irritating odor of wrinkles. Although the bad smell is an element of body odor, it does not reproduce the body odor including the trunk other than the bad smell.
Patent Documents 2 and 3 describe a pseudo odor composition, but are not a pseudo body odor composition.
Non-Patent Document 1 describes 4-ethyloctanoic acid as an example of an acidic substance in the secretions under the armpit.
The sweat odor and body odor, which are the standards in the Textile Product Evaluation Technology Council, are ammonia, acetic acid, isovaleric acid, and nonenal. Is not reproduced.

Furthermore, in one embodiment of the present invention, a method for evaluating a simulated body odor odor using a simulated body odor composition is provided.

With the simulated body odor composition of the present invention, the body odor adhered to and accumulated on clothing can be reproduced.

The present invention relates to a simulated body odor composition that reproduces body odor that adheres to and accumulates on clothing, in particular, underwear that is usually worn, clothing that directly touches the skin, such as T-shirts, and an odor evaluation method using the same. is there.
In this specification, “body odor” refers to a relatively greasy odor that is mainly felt on the chest, neck, and back of clothing such as underwear. In the present specification, the “pseudo body odor” is a pseudo reproduction of a relatively greasy odor mainly felt on the chest, neck, and back of clothing such as underwear.
The unpleasant odor that remains attached to and accumulates on clothing includes a habit odor and a very sour odor derived from sweat and bacteria, but these are different from the body odor shown in this specification.

[4-ethyloctanoic acid: component (A)]
4-Ethyloctanoic acid is a component known as an unpleasant odor component, and as an odor component, it produces an animal odor. By including this component in the simulated body odor composition of the present invention, body odor that adheres to and accumulates on clothing after wearing, in particular, reproducibility of body odor derived from sebum that adheres to and remains on clothing after wearing. Rise. This is due to the reproduction of the odor of clothing cloth (the old-fashioned and old-fashioned odor) that the odor produced by 4-ethyloctanoic acid is not simply the odor caused by other lower fatty acids.
In the simulated body odor composition of the present invention, the amount of 4-ethyloctanoic acid is not particularly limited, but is preferably 0.01 to 0.2% by mass with respect to the total mass of the simulated body odor composition, 0.01 to 0.1 mass% is more preferable. When the blending amount of 4-ethyloctanoic acid is in the range of 0.01 to 0.2% by mass, the odor is not too strong, and it is more suitable for reproducing the body odor adhering to and remaining on clothing.

[3-Methyl-2-hexenoic acid: component (B)]
3-Methyl-2-hexenoic acid is known as a component that causes fatty acid odor like old rags in the study of causative substances of odor. It is said that a secreted product of 3-methyl-2-hexenoic acid and glutamine is decomposed by skin bacteria to generate an odor. This odor becomes part of the odor of odor.
Examples of the odor adhering to and accumulating on the worn clothing include those derived from lower fatty acids having 3 to 10 carbon atoms. For example, acetic acid is a sour odor of sweat, isovaleric acid is a sweat-like fatty acid odor with a unique odor, and hexanoic acid is also perceived as a sweaty fatty acid. However, the odor of 3-methyl-2-hexenoic acid is similar to the odor of odor. In the simulated body odor composition of the present invention, when this component is added, the reproducibility of the odor of the component adhering to the heel of clothing is increased, and the reproducibility of the simulated body odor composition including the element of the odor is increased.
In the simulated body odor composition of the present invention, the amount of 3-methyl-2-hexenoic acid is not particularly limited, but is preferably 0.01 to 0.3% by mass with respect to the total mass of the simulated body odor composition. .1 to 0.2% by mass is more preferable. When the blending amount of 3-methyl-2-hexenoic acid is within the range of 0.01 to 0.3% by mass, the characteristics of the odor are not excessive, and the body odor is reproduced with a well-balanced odor. The odor due to 4-ethyloctanoic acid that reproduces the accumulated fat-like odor and clothing-like odor can be retained.

[Lower fatty acid having 3 to 10 carbon atoms: component (C)]
The lower fatty acid having 3 to 10 carbon atoms is an odor component detected from the underwear collected and worn. In the simulated odor composition of the present invention, 4-ethyloctanoic acid, 3-methyl-2-hexenoic acid and nonanoic acid are also lower fatty acids having 3 to 10 carbon atoms, and therefore these specific components are included. In the simulated body odor composition, the lower fatty acid having 3 to 10 carbon atoms refers to a substance other than the specific component. For example, in one embodiment, the lower fatty acid having 3 to 10 carbon atoms can be a lower fatty acid having 3 to 10 carbon atoms other than 4-ethyloctanoic acid, and in one embodiment, the lower fatty acid having 3 to 10 carbon atoms is It may be a lower fatty acid having 3 to 10 carbon atoms other than 4-ethyloctanoic acid, 3-methyl-2-hexenoic acid and nonanoic acid.
In the simulated body odor composition of the present invention, one or more lower fatty acids having 3 to 10 carbon atoms can be blended.
Specific examples of the lower fatty acid having 3 to 10 carbon atoms that can be included in the simulated odor composition of the present invention include 3-methyl-2-hexenoic acid, nonanoic acid, acetic acid, butyric acid, isobutyric acid, isovaleric acid, and hexanoic acid. , Heptanoic acid, octanoic acid, 4-methyl-3-hexenoic acid, 3-hydroxy-3-methylhexanoic acid, decanoic acid, pentanoic acid and the like, but are not limited thereto.
In the simulated body odor composition of the present invention, the blending amount of the lower fatty acid having 3 to 10 carbon atoms is not particularly limited, but is preferably 0.1% by mass or less, and 0.05 mass with respect to the total mass of the simulated body odor composition. % Or less is more preferable.

[Nonanoic acid: component (D)]
Nonanoic acid is the most characteristic component detected from underwear collected and recovered among lower fatty acids having 3 to 10 carbon atoms.
In the simulated body odor composition of the present invention, the amount of nonanoic acid is not particularly limited, but is preferably 0.01 to 0.1% by weight, more preferably 0.01 to 0.05% by weight, based on the total weight of the simulated body odor composition. preferable.

本発明の擬似体臭組成物において、上記(A)、(B)、(C)及び(D)成分の配合割合は、特に限定されないが、(A)、(B)、(C)及び(D)の質量比が、(A):(B):(C):(D)=1〜10:10〜30:1〜5:1〜10であることが好ましい。 In the simulated body odor composition of the present invention, the mixing ratio of the components (A), (B), (C) and (D) is not particularly limited, but (A), (B), (C) and (D ) Mass ratio is preferably (A) :( B) :( C) :( D) = 1 to 10:10 to 30: 1 to 5: 1 to 10. Within such a blending ratio range, the body odor that adheres to and accumulates on clothing can be reproduced more faithfully.

[solvent]
In the simulated body odor composition of the present invention, a solvent may be blended. The solvent is not particularly limited as long as it does not affect the pseudo odor of the pseudo odor composition of the present invention. For example, triethyl citrate (TEC), dipropylene glycol (DPG), ethylene glycol monobutyl ether (BEG) ) And the like.
In the simulated body odor composition of the present invention, the blending amount of the solvent is not particularly limited, but is preferably 99.0 to 99.9% by weight, and 99.0 to 99.9% by weight based on the total weight of the simulated body odor composition. % Is more preferable.

[Evaluation methods]
About the body odor similarity of the pseudo body odor composition of this invention, about the mixed component, it can be performed by determining the reproducibility and similarity about the odor using a special panel of 3-10 persons.
Specifically, the prepared pseudo body odor composition is applied to odor paper, and immediately after the odor paper is smelled, evaluation is performed. The adjusted simulated body odor composition of the present invention can more accurately reproduce various body odors that adhere to and accumulate on clothes that actually exist. Therefore, the pseudo body odor odor adhering to and accumulating on clothes can be evaluated using the pseudo body odor composition of the present invention. Furthermore, by using the simulated body odor composition of the present invention, it is possible to accurately and easily evaluate the masking or deodorizing effect of body odor adhered to and accumulated on clothing. That is, by using the simulated body odor composition of the present invention, it is possible to efficiently screen a substance having a masking action or a deodorizing action on the body odor adhering to and accumulating on clothes.

<Evaluation of odor intensity>
A 10-fold concentrated product of the simulated body odor composition of Example 1 shown in Table 3 was prepared.
Put one cotton ball (No. 14) into a 30 mL vial, and further add the 10-fold concentrated composition of the simulated body odor composition to triethyl citrate (TEC: triethyl citrate reagent as shown in Table 4 below) 100 μL was added dropwise, and sealed, and left at room temperature for 1 hour. After that, three expert panelists evaluated the odor of the headspace according to the criteria shown below, and decided the score after discussion. Three points are preferred.
Example 6 to Example 9 described in Table 4 below were diluted with TEC at each mixing ratio described above for a 10-fold concentrated composition of the simulated body odor composition of Example 1 described in Table 3, and at that time The odor intensity of the vial mouth was tested. The results are shown in Table 4 below.
(Evaluation criteria for 6-step odor intensity)
5 points: Intense odor 4 points: Strong odor 3 points: Easily perceived odor 2 points: Weak scent to understand what smell (cognitive threshold concentration)
1 point: The smell that can be finally detected (detection threshold concentration)
0 points: odorless
