Description
SCR/DPF触媒は、自動車のエンジンから排出された排気ガスに含まれるPMをDPFで捕集することにくわえ、SCRでNOxを無害なN2やH2Oに還元する触媒である。SCR/DPF触媒は、通常、自動車の底部に設けられる。
DPFの基材としては、コージェライト、SiC、およびチタン酸アルミナなどが挙げられるが、これらに限定されるものではない。
本実施形態にかかるSCRは、一次粒子径が0.5μm以下のゼオライトである。ゼオライトは粉末状である。なお、ゼオライトを粉末化した状態においては、一次粒子は分散して存在していてよいし、一次粒子が凝集していわゆる二次粒子を形成していて一次粒子径より大きなサイズになっていても良い。
一次粒子径、動的光散乱法により測定した50%粒子径(D50)、および90%粒子径(D90)が異なるCHA構造を有するゼオライトの粉末を、イオン交換水に分散させ、実施例1-6、および比較例1-5にかかる、SCRとしてのスラリーを作製した。
比較例6は、従来技術にかかる市販のSCR/DPF触媒である。このSCR/DPF触媒は、DPFとしてイビデン社製SiC-DPFが用いられ、SCRとしてゼオライトが用いられている。このSCR/DPF触媒を分析した結果、ゼオライトの充填量は約130g/Lであった。
(1)FE-SEM装置を用い、ゼオライトの粉末を10,000倍で撮影した。
(2)撮影により得られた画像にて、CHA構造に特有な立方体形状を有している最小単位結晶について少なくとも20個以上を特定し、画像解析ソフトでそれぞれの結晶のサイズ(フェレー径)を測定した。測定した結晶サイズの平均径を一次粒子径として求めた。なお凝集状態にある場合は、表面に露出している面の対角線長さを計測してその値も使用した。

- 一次粒子径が0.5μm以下であるゼオライトが充填されたDPFを有する排気ガス浄化触媒であって、
前記ゼオライトの付着量が、94g/L~101g/Lであることを特徴とする、排気ガス浄化触媒。 - 前記ゼオライトは、動的光散乱法により測定した50%粒子径が2.0μm以下であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の排気ガス浄化触媒。
- 前記ゼオライトは、動的光散乱法により測定した90%粒子径が2.5μm以下であることを特徴とする、請求項1または2に記載の排気ガス浄化触媒。
- 前記ゼオライトをスラリー化した状態における、前記ゼオライトの50%粒子径が2.0μm以下であることを特徴とする、請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載の排気ガス浄化触媒。
- 前記スラリーの粘度は、25℃で20mPa・s以下であることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の排気ガス浄化触媒。
