本特許出願は、2016年05月12日に韓国で出願した特許出願番号第10-2016-0058193号の米国特許法119(a)条(35U.S.C§119(a))に基づいて優先権を主張し、そのすべての内容は、参考文献として本特許出願に併合される。さらに、本特許出願は、米国以外の国に対しても、前記と同じ理由で優先権を主張し、そのすべての内容は、参考文献として本特許出願に併合される。
Claims (3)
- 基地局制御装置が、既存のネットワークと次世代ネットワークとを含む、世代の異なる異種ネットワークを複数個含む移動通信システムの基地局を制御する方法において、
前記基地局制御装置が、前記異種ネットワークのうちの少なくとも2つの世代の異なるネットワーク間において、次世代ネットワークのサポートに関する情報を含むネットワーク接続生成メッセージを端末から受信する受信プロセスであって、前記次世代ネットワークのサポートに関する情報は、前記端末が前記次世代ネットワークをサポートすることが可能か否かを示す、前記受信プロセスと、
前記基地局制御装置が、前記異種ネットワークのうちの少なくとも2つの世代の異なるネットワーク間において、前記端末に関する情報及び受信した前記次世代ネットワークのサポートに関する情報を用いて前記端末の前記次世代ネットワークの利用の許可如何と、前記次世代ネットワーク及び前記既存のネットワークのそれぞれについてのデータの最大伝送率とを決定する決定プロセスと、
前記次世代ネットワークの利用に関する許可如何の決定に応じて、前記基地局制御装置が、前記次世代ネットワークをサポートすることが可能な第1のゲートウェイと前記既存のネットワークをサポートすることが可能な第2のゲートウェイとの間の1つのゲートウェイを選択する選択プロセスであって、
前記1つのゲートウェイが前記決定により決定された次世代ネットワークについての前記データの最大伝送率をサポートすることが可能なゲートウェイであるか否かに応じて、前記決定が、前記端末による前記次世代ネットワークの利用を許可した場合に、前記第1のゲートウェイを選択することと、
前記決定が、前記端末による前記次世代ネットワークの利用を許さない場合に、前記第2のゲートウェイを選択することと
を含む、前記選択するプロセス、及び、
前記次世代ネットワークの利用に関する情報、前記次世代ネットワークについての前記データの最大伝送率、及び前記既存のネットワークについての前記データの最大伝送率をネットワーク接続作成要求メッセージに含めた後、前記基地局制御装置が、前記ネットワーク接続作成要求メッセージを選択された前記ゲートウェイに伝送する伝送プロセスと、
を含む、基地局制御方法。 - 前記次世代ネットワークのサポートに関する情報は、
前記端末が前記次世代ネットワークの利用を要求するか否か、または、前記端末が前記次世代ネットワークを利用できる領域に属しているか否かを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の基地局制御方法。 - 前記決定プロセスは、
前記端末が前記次世代ネットワークの利用をサポートし、前記端末がデュアルコネクティビティのサポートを要求し、前記端末が前記次世代ネットワークを利用できる領域に属する場合、前記端末の前記次世代ネットワークのサポートを許可することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の基地局制御方法。
