Description
例えば、特許文献1には、粒状金属構成材料の層を積層し、未結合のままである第2の領域を取り囲む第1の領域にバインダーを堆積させることで第1の領域を選択的に結合させる三次元造形物の製造方法が開示されている。
上記課題を解決するための本発明の第1の態様の三次元造形物の製造装置は、造粒粉の層が積層されるテーブルと、前記テーブル上の前記造粒粉を所定の厚みの層にする層形成部と、前記層における前記三次元造形物の形成領域の前記造粒粉が潰されるように、前記層を圧縮可能な圧縮部と、前記層における前記形成領域において、前記三次元造形物の表面領域に該当しない領域にバインダーを付与しないとともに前記三次元造形物の表面領域に該当する領域にバインダーを付与して前記三次元造形物の形状を形作るバインダー付与部と、を備えることを特徴とする。
最初に、本発明の一実施例に係る三次元造形物の製造装置1の概要について図1を参照して説明する。
ここで、図中のX方向は水平方向であり、Y方向は水平方向であるとともにX方向と直交する方向であり、Z方向は鉛直方向である。

Claims (6)
- 造粒粉の層が積層されるテーブルと、
前記テーブル上の前記造粒粉を所定の厚みの層にする層形成部と、
前記層における三次元造形物の形成領域の前記造粒粉が潰され、前記層のうちの前記三次元造形物が形成されない非形成領域における前記造粒粉が潰されないように、前記層を圧縮可能な圧縮部と、
前記層における前記形成領域において、前記三次元造形物の表面領域に該当しない領域にバインダーを付与しないとともに前記三次元造形物の表面領域に該当する領域にバインダーを付与して前記三次元造形物の形状を形作るバインダー付与部と、
前記非形成領域における前記造粒粉を回収する回収部と、
を備えことを特徴とする三次元造形物の製造装置。 - 造粒粉の層が積層されるテーブル上で前記造粒粉を所定の厚みの層にする層形成工程と、
前記層における三次元造形物の形成領域の前記造粒粉が潰され、前記層のうちの前記三次元造形物が形成されない非形成領域における前記造粒粉が潰されないように、前記層を圧縮する圧縮工程と、
前記層における前記形成領域において、前記三次元造形物の表面領域に該当しない領域にバインダーを付与しないとともに前記三次元造形物の表面領域に該当する領域にバインダーを付与して前記三次元造形物の形状を形作るバインダー付与工程と、
前記バインダー付与工程で形作られた前記三次元造形物の焼結工程と、
前記非形成領域における前記造粒粉を回収する回収工程と、
を有することを特徴とする三次元造形物の製造方法。 - 請求項2に記載された三次元造形物の製造方法において、
前記層形成工程では、頂部の位置が同じ高さの相対する壁部に挟まれた前記テーブルを前記頂部の位置から第1距離下がった第1位置に下げ、前記テーブルと平行に移動可能なローラーを少なくとも前記頂部のうちの一方から他方まで移動させることで、前記第1距離の厚みの層を形成し、
前記圧縮工程では、前記ローラーを前記頂部の位置から第2距離下げて前記形成領域の範囲を前記テーブルと平行に移動させる、或いは、前記テーブルを前記第1位置から第2距離上がった第2位置に上げて前記ローラーを前記形成領域の範囲を前記テーブルと平行に移動させる、ことで前記形成領域を圧縮し、
前記回収工程では、前記テーブルを前記第2位置に配置させ、前記ローラーを少なくとも前記頂部のうちの一方から他方まで移動させることで、前記非形成領域における前記造粒粉を回収することを特徴とする三次元造形物の製造方法。 - 請求項2または3に記載された三次元造形物の製造方法において、
前記バインダー付与工程は、前記層における前記形成領域と前記非形成領域との間にバインダーを付与して壁を形成することを特徴とする三次元造形物の製造方法。 - 請求項2から4のいずれか1項に記載された三次元造形物の製造方法において、
前記造粒粉は、ポリビニルアルコールを含んでいることを特徴とする三次元造形物の製造方法。 - 請求項2から5のいずれか1項に記載された三次元造形物の製造方法において、
前記バインダー付与工程で付与されるバインダーは、ポリビニルアルコールを含んでいることを特徴とする三次元造形物の製造方法。
