Description
三元触媒の最大酸素吸蔵量は、当該三元触媒の温度に応じて変化する。そこで、同構成では、三元触媒の酸素吸蔵量が最大酸素吸蔵量に達しているか否かを判定するために上記積算値と比較する上記判定値を三元触媒の温度に基づいて可変設定するようにしている。そのため、三元触媒の温度が異なる場合でも、上記吸蔵処理では、三元触媒の酸素吸蔵量が最大酸素吸蔵量に達しているか否かを適切に判定することができる。
以下、内燃機関の制御装置の第1実施形態について、図1~図4を参照して説明する。
図1に、ハイブリッド車両500(以下、単に車両500と記載する)の概略構成を示す。この図1に示すように、車両500は、内燃機関10と、内燃機関10のクランク軸14が接続された動力配分統合機構40と、動力配分統合機構40に接続されている第1モータジェネレータ71とを備えている。動力配分統合機構40には、リダクションギア50を介して第2モータジェネレータ72が連結されるとともに、減速機構60及びディファレンシャル61を介して駆動輪62が連結されている。
図3に示すように、三元触媒22の温度が上昇していくと最大酸素吸蔵量は増加していく。そして、三元触媒22の温度が所定の温度に達した以降は、三元触媒22の温度上昇に伴って最大酸素吸蔵量は減少していく。そこで、こうした三元触媒22の温度に応じた最大酸素吸蔵量の変化に上記判定値αが追従するように、CPU110は予め設定されたマップを参照して、三元触媒22の触媒温度Tscに基づき判定値αを可変設定する。
S120において、CPU110は、今現在の積算空気量SGAが上記判定値α以上であるか、または今現在の下流側空燃比Afdが理論空燃比よりもリーンであるか否かを判定する。このS120において、下流側空燃比Afdが理論空燃比よりもリーンであるか否かを判定する理由は以下による。
時刻t1において、燃料導入処理の実行条件が成立すると、燃料噴射弁17の燃料噴射及び点火装置19の火花放電がともに停止されて燃料カット処理が開始されるとともにモータリングも開始される。この燃料カット処理が開始されると、三元触媒22の酸素吸蔵量は増大していく。そして、積算空気量SGAは徐々に増大していき、判定値αに達すると、三元触媒22の酸素吸蔵量は最大酸素吸蔵量に達したものと判定される(時刻t2)。なお、この図4に示す例の場合には、時刻t2において三元触媒22の酸素吸蔵量は最大酸素吸蔵量に達したため、この時刻t2において下流側空燃比Afdは理論空燃比近傍の値から理論空燃比よりリーンな状態に変化している。そして、時刻t2において火花放電の停止及びモータリングは継続する一方で、時刻t2以前において噴射停止されていた燃料噴射弁17からは上記要求値QPDに相当する量の燃料を噴射する燃料噴射が開始されることにより、燃料カット処理は中止されて燃料導入処理が開始される。
(1)燃料導入処理を開始する前に上記吸蔵処理が実行されることにより、クランク軸14が回転している状況下で燃料カット処理が実施される。これにより三元触媒22には空気が供給されて三元触媒22の酸素吸蔵量が増加する。燃料導入処理を開始する前に実施されるこの燃料カット処理は、三元触媒22の酸素吸蔵量が最大酸素吸蔵量に達するまで実施される。従って、三元触媒22の酸素吸蔵量が最大酸素吸蔵量に達している状態で燃料導入処理は開始されるようになるため、燃料導入処理の実行中に三元触媒22の酸素吸蔵量が不足することを抑えることができる。
次に、内燃機関の制御装置の第2実施形態について、図5及び図6を参照して説明する。
S210においてCPU110が肯定判定した場合(S210:YES)、つまりS200において燃料噴射弁17の燃料噴射を停止させてから所定の遅延期間が経過したと判定した場合には、CPU110は、それまで実施されていた点火装置19の火花放電を停止することにより点火停止遅延処理を終了する(S220)。そして、CPU110は、図2に示したS110以降の処理を実行する。なお、本実施形態ではS220の処理を実行することで、図2に示したS100の処理にて燃料カット処理を開始した状態、つまり燃料噴射弁17の燃料噴射及び点火装置19の火花放電をともに停止させる燃料カット処理が開始された状態になる。従って、本実施形態では、S220の処理を実行した時点から上記積算空気量SGAの算出が開始される。
時刻t1において、燃料導入処理の実行条件が成立すると、燃料噴射弁17の燃料噴射及び点火装置19の火花放電をともに停止させる燃料カット処理のうちで燃料噴射弁17の燃料噴射を停止する処理がまず開始される。また、時刻t1においてモータリングが開始される。そして、燃料噴射弁17の燃料噴射が停止されてから上記遅延期間が経過すると(時刻t2)、点火装置19の火花放電を停止する処理が開始されることにより、燃料噴射弁17の燃料噴射及び点火装置19の火花放電をともに停止させる燃料カット処理が開始される。そして、この時刻t2以降、積算空気量SGAは徐々に増大していき、判定値αに達すると、三元触媒22の酸素吸蔵量は最大酸素吸蔵量に達したものと判定される(時刻t3)。そして、時刻t3において火花放電の停止及びモータリングは継続する一方で、時刻t2以前において噴射停止されていた燃料噴射弁17からは上記要求値QPDに相当する量の燃料を噴射する燃料噴射が開始されることにより、燃料カット処理は中止されて燃料導入処理が開始される。
(5)上述した吸蔵処理において燃料カット処理を開始するときには、燃料噴射弁17の燃料噴射を停止させてから所定の遅延期間が経過した後に点火装置19の火花放電を停止させる点火停止遅延処理を実行するようにしている。そのため、燃料噴射弁17の燃料噴射を停止させてから遅延期間が経過するまでは点火装置19の火花放電が継続して実施されるようになり、その遅延期間中には、気筒11内に吸入された吸気ポート15aの付着燃料が当該気筒11内で燃焼される。従って、吸気ポート15aに付着していた燃料が排気通路21に排出されることは抑えられるようになるため、過剰な量の燃料が三元触媒22に供給されることを抑えることができる。
・排気の酸素濃度に応じた信号を出力する第2空燃比センサ84で下流側空燃比Afdを検出した。この他、空燃比が理論空燃比よりもリッチであるかリーンであるかのみを検出することのできる酸素センサを使って下流側空燃比Afdを検出してもよい。
Claims (6)
- 燃料を噴射する燃料噴射弁と、気筒内で火花放電を行う点火装置と、排気通路に設けられた三元触媒と、を備え、前記燃料噴射弁から噴射された燃料を含む混合気を前記点火装置の火花放電により点火して気筒内で燃焼させる内燃機関に適用されて、
前記内燃機関のクランク軸が回転している状況下で前記気筒内での燃焼を停止させるときには、前記燃料噴射弁の燃料噴射を停止させる燃料カット処理、及び、前記燃料噴射弁から燃料を噴射させ、当該燃料を未燃のまま前記気筒内から前記排気通路に導入する燃料導入処理の何れか一方の処理を選択して実行する内燃機関の制御装置において、
前記燃料導入処理を開始する前に、前記燃料カット処理を実施して前記三元触媒に酸素を吸蔵させる吸蔵処理を実行する
内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記吸蔵処理は、前記三元触媒の酸素吸蔵量が当該三元触媒において吸蔵可能な酸素量の最大値である最大酸素吸蔵量に達するまで前記燃料カット処理を実施する
請求項1に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記内燃機関の吸入空気量を検出する吸入空気量センサを備えており、
前記吸蔵処理は、前記燃料カット処理を開始してから積算を開始した前記吸入空気量の積算値が規定の判定値以上になったときに前記三元触媒の酸素吸蔵量が前記最大酸素吸蔵量に達していると判定する処理を実行する
請求項2に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記吸蔵処理は、前記三元触媒の温度に基づいて前記判定値を可変設定する処理を実行する
請求項3に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記排気通路において前記三元触媒よりも下流の部位には空燃比を検出するセンサが備えられており、
前記吸蔵処理は、前記燃料カット処理の実施中に前記センサの検出値が理論空燃比よりもリーンな値を示したときに前記三元触媒の酸素吸蔵量が前記最大酸素吸蔵量に達していると判定する処理を実行する
請求項2に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記燃料噴射弁は、吸気ポートに燃料を噴射する燃料噴射弁であり、
前記吸蔵処理において前記燃料カット処理を開始するときには、前記燃料噴射弁の燃料噴射を停止させてから所定の遅延期間が経過した後に前記点火装置の火花放電を停止させる点火停止遅延処理を実行する
