ある実施形態によれば、本明細書に記載された技術は、1つ以上の専用の計算装置により実施される。専用の計算装置は、ハードワイヤ接続されて当該技術を実行してもよく、
当該技術を実行するように持続的にプログラムされた1つ以上の特定用途向け集積回路(ASIC)またはフィールドプログラマブルゲートアレイ(FPGA))等のデジタル電子装置を含んでもよく、ファームウェア、メモリ、他の記憶装置または組合せ内のプログラム命令に従って当該技術を実行するようにプログラムされた1つ以上の汎用のハードウェアプロセッサを含んでもよい。このような専用の計算装置はまた、カスタムハードワイヤードロジック、ASICまたはFPGAを、カスタムプログラミングと組み合わせて、当該技術を実現してもよい。専用の計算装置は、デスクトップコンピュータシステム、携帯型コンピュータシステム、手持ち型装置、ネットワーク装置、または、当該技術を実施するためのハードワイヤードロジックおよび/またはプログラムロジックを組み込んだ他の装置であり得る。

Claims (18)
- ディスプレイのためのレンダリングの方法であって、
1つ以上の光源によって第1の光を量子ドット層に照射するステップと、
前記量子ドット層によって前記第1の光を第2の光に変換するステップと、
光モジュレータのための中間段階のディスプレイ変調駆動信号を決定するステップと、
ライトフィールドに対する空間的な色不均一性の影響を計算する1つ以上のライトフィールドシミュレーションに基づいて前記中間段階のディスプレイ変調駆動信号を調整することによって前記空間的な色不均一性を補償するステップであって、前記空間的な色不均一性は前記1つ以上の光源からの前記第1の光が前記第2の光に変換されるまでに進む移動距離に応じて生じるステップと、
を含む方法。 - 前記モジュレータは、LCDパネルである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記モジュレータは、可変形状ミラーデバイスである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記モジュレータは、マイクロエレクトロメカニカルデバイスである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記移動距離は、前記第1の光が前記第2の光に変換される前に前記ディスプレイにおける前記量子ドット層と前記光モジュレータとの間の光再利用フィルムにおいて生じる前記第1の光の1回以上の反射が考慮された距離である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記量子ドット層は、単一のシートである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記量子ドット層は、複数のセグメントを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記1つ以上の光源は、個別に制御可能な複数の光源である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- プロセッサを備えており、請求項1に記載の方法を実行するように構成された装置。
- 第1の光を出射するように構成された1つ以上の光源と、
前記第1の光を第2の光に変換するように構成された光変換層と、
表示のために前記第2の光を変調するように構成された光モジュレータと、
前記光モジュレータのための中間段階のディスプレイ変調駆動信号を決定し、ライトフィールドに対する空間的な色不均一性の影響を計算する1つ以上のライトフィールドシミュレーションに基づいて前記中間段階のディスプレイ変調駆動信号を調整することによって前記空間的な色不均一性を補償するように構成されたコントローラと、
を備え、
前記空間的な色不均一性は、前記1つ以上の光源からの前記第1の光が前記第2の光に変換されるまでに進む移動距離に応じて生じる、
ディスプレイデバイス。 - 前記光変換層と前記光モジュレータとの間に光再利用フィルムをさらに備え、
前記移動距離は、前記第1の光が前記第2の光に変換される前に前記光再利用フィルムにおいて生じる前記第1の光の1回以上の反射が考慮された距離である、請求項10に記載のディスプレイデバイス。 - 前記光変換層は、第1の周波数帯域の前記第1の光を、第2の周波数帯域の第2の光に変換するように構成されている、請求項10に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記光変換層は、量子ドット材料を含む、請求項10に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記量子ドット材料は、シートを形成する、請求項13に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記光変換層における前記量子ドット層は、複数のセグメントを含む、請求項13に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記ディスプレイデバイスは、LCD(液晶ディスプレイ)ディスプレイデバイス、複数のLED(発光ダイオード)または複数のOLED(有機発光ダイオード)を前記光源として含むディスプレイデバイス、またはプロジェクタである、請求項10に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記光モジュレータは、LCDモジュレータ、可変形状ミラーデバイス、またはマイクロエレクトロメカニカルデバイスである、請求項10に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記1つ以上の光源は、個別に制御可能な複数の光源である、請求項10に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
