Claims (11)
- 複数の電池を含む電池パックと、
前記電池の外部と熱伝導可能に取り付けられた冷媒導管を含み、前記冷媒導管に冷媒を流して熱伝導を用いて間接的に前記電池を冷却させる水冷式冷却装置と、
前記水冷式冷却装置の冷媒導管のうち前記冷媒を前記電池パック側に導入する入口側冷媒導管と前記電池パックを冷却させた冷媒を前記電池パックの外側に排出する出口側冷媒導管との間に設けられ、前記入口側冷媒導管に対向する吸熱面及び前記出口側冷媒導管に対向する発熱面を備える熱電素子モジュールと、
前記電池パックに供給される充電電流の大きさを検出する電流センサと、
前記充電電流の大きさから充電C-レートを決定し、前記充電C-レートが予め設定された臨界値以上であれば、前記熱電素子モジュールを駆動させて前記吸熱面と前記発熱面との間に温度差を誘発させるように構成された制御ユニットと、
を含む、電気自動車用電池パック冷却システム。 - 前記熱電素子モジュールを通じて前記入口側冷媒導管と出口側冷媒導管との間で熱交換が行われるように、前記吸熱面を前記入口側冷媒導管に接触させ、前記発熱面を前記出口側冷媒導管に接触させる、請求項1に記載の電気自動車用電池パック冷却システム。
- 前記電池パックは、パックケースをさらに含み、前記パックケースの内部に前記冷媒を流して前記電池を冷却させる冷却部材をさらに含み、
前記冷却部材内には連続的な流路が形成され、前記流路の両端は前記冷媒を前記電池パック側に導入する冷媒入口と前記電池パックを冷却させた冷媒を前記電池パックの外側に排出する冷媒出口とに連結され、
前記入口側冷媒導管は前記冷媒入口に連結され、前記出口側冷媒導管は前記冷媒出口に連結される、請求項1または2に記載の電気自動車用電池パック冷却システム。 - 前記電気自動車用電池パック冷却システムは、前記電池パックに取り付けられて前記電池パックの温度を検出する温度センサをさらに含み、
前記制御ユニットは、前記温度センサを用いて前記電池パックの温度の時間変化率を決定し、前記時間変化率が予め設定した値以上であって、前記充電C-レートが予め設定された臨界値以上であれば、前記熱電素子モジュールを駆動させるように構成された、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の電気自動車用電池パック冷却システム。 - 前記充電電流は、前記電池パックの外部充電装置から供給され、前記電流センサは、前記電池パックと外部充電装置とを連結する充電線路に設けられたものである、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の電気自動車用電池パック冷却システム。
- 前記熱電素子モジュールを駆動させる電力は、外部電源供給装置から供給され、
前記電気自動車用電池パック冷却システムは、外部電源供給装置と前記熱電素子モジュールとの間に連結されたスイッチをさらに含み、
前記制御ユニットは、前記スイッチをターンオンさせて前記熱電素子モジュールを駆動させるように構成された、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の電気自動車用電池パック冷却システム。 - 複数の電池を含む電池パックと、前記電池の外部と熱伝導可能に取り付けられた冷媒導管を通じて冷媒を流入させて間接的に前記電池を冷却させる水冷式冷却装置とを含む電気自動車用電池パックシステムの冷却方法であって、
(a)前記水冷式冷却装置の冷媒導管のうち前記冷媒を前記電池パック側に導入する入口側冷媒導管と前記電池パックを冷却させた冷媒を前記電池パックの外側に排出する出口側冷媒導管との間に熱電素子モジュールを提供するが、前記熱電素子モジュールの吸熱面及び発熱面がそれぞれ前記入口側冷媒導管及び前記出口側冷媒導管に対向するように提供する段階と、
(b)前記電池パックと外部充電装置とを連結する充電線路に流れる充電電流の大きさを測定して充電C-レートを決定する段階と、
(c)前記充電C-レートが予め設定された臨界値以上であれば、前記熱電素子モジュールを駆動させて前記熱電素子モジュールの前記吸熱面と前記発熱面との間に温度差を誘発し、前記吸熱面で前記冷媒の温度を下げて前記電池パック側に供給する段階と、
を含む電気自動車用電池パックシステムの冷却方法。 - 前記(a)段階は、
前記熱電素子モジュールを通じて前記入口側冷媒導管と出口側冷媒導管との間で熱交換が行われるように、前記吸熱面を前記入口側冷媒導管に接触させ、前記発熱面を前記出口側冷媒導管に接触させる段階を含む、請求項7に記載の電気自動車用電池パックシステムの冷却方法。 - 前記(c)段階において、前記充電C-レートが2C以上の急速充電である場合、前記熱電素子モジュールを駆動させる、請求項7または8に記載の電気自動車用電池パックシステムの冷却方法。
- 前記(c)段階は、
前記電池パックの温度を測定する段階と、
前記電池パックの温度の時間変化率が予め設定した値以上であって、前記充電C-レートが予め設定された臨界値以上であれば、前記熱電素子モジュールを駆動させる段階と、
を含む、請求項7から9のいずれか一項に記載の電気自動車用電池パックシステムの冷却方法。 - 前記(c)段階において、前記熱電素子モジュールを駆動させるために外部電源供給装置から電力を供給する、請求項7から10のいずれか一項に記載の電気自動車用電池パックシステムの冷却方法。
