Description
本出願は、その全体が参照により本明細書に組み込まれている、2011年2月9日に出願したGary M. Searleらの米国仮特許出願第61/441,278号、「Concepts for Infusion Set Strain Relief, an Oil Impregnated Plunger, a Reservoir Made from Expanded Tubing, and Piezo Pump Devices」の米国特許法第119条(e)項に基づく利益を主張するものである。
Xに膨張して長さ4Xのチャンバーを形成し、解放されると、チュービングは、長さ2X
に収縮し、中のチャンバー全体を実質的に折り畳むことになる。そうすることで、チュー
ブセグメントには薬剤で充填され、チューブセグメント222を強制的に図10Aに示さ
れているような細長い形状にすることができる。チューブセグメントは、起伏のある壁2
24および226によりいずれかの端部のところで閉じられ、収縮したときにデッドスペ
ースを低減することができる。この充填で、解放されたときに内容物を送達するのに十分
な張力を発生し、チューブセグメント224は図10Aに示されているようなその高い伸
びにより収縮する。内容物は、カニューレまたはさらにはチューブセグメント228を通
して送達されうる。さらに別の例示的な実施形態では、チューブセグメントを貯蔵容器の
チャンバー内に配設することができる。例えば、図11Aは、本発明の一実施形態による
インスリンまたは他の薬剤を薬液注入部位に送達するために使用することができる構造化
チャンバー内に配設された別の折り畳み可能なシリンダーまたは貯蔵容器の断面図である
。
Claims (5)
- 貯蔵容器、導入器針およびカテーテルのうちの少なくとも1つを備える輸液セットのための装置であって、
前記輸液セットと一体化されたポンプを備え、
前記ポンプはリニア蠕動ポンプを備え、前記リニア蠕動ポンプは、薬瓶と前記貯蔵容器との間で内容物を移送し、前記貯蔵容器と前記カテーテルとの間で内容物を移送するように構成され、および、前記貯蔵容器は第1の寸法と該第1の寸法よりも短い第2の寸法との間で伸縮することができ、それにより前記内容物を充填および移送するための内容積が可変のチャンバーを形成する折り畳み可能なチューブセグメントであって、前記伸縮方向への1段の屈曲で折り畳まれる、チューブセグメントであることを特徴とする装置。 - 前記チューブセグメントは、細長いチューブセグメントであり、前記第1の寸法は充填された寸法であり、前記第2の寸法は空の寸法であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記チューブセグメントは、膨張可能チューブセグメントであり、前記第1の寸法は充填された寸法であり、前記第2の寸法は空の寸法であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記導入器針およびカテーテルのうちの少なくとも一方に振動を伝達するように構成された圧電素子をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記ポンプは、チュービングを実質的に円形に保管するように構成されたチューブリールをさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
