Description
図1、図2に示すように、本例示的実施形態のマイクロ流路デバイス10は、厚さ方向に積層された上側流路部材12と下側流路部材14とで構成された流路ユニット16を有している。上側流路部材12及び下側流路部材14は、一例としてPDMS(ポリジメチルシロキサン)等の弾性を有する透明な材料で構成されていることが好ましい。
上側流路部材12及び下側流路部材14の対向面12A、14A間には、多孔膜30が配置されている。多孔膜30は、一例として疎水性の有機溶媒に溶解可能な疎水性ポリマーから成る。なお、疎水性の有機溶媒は、25℃の水に対する溶解度が10(g/100g水)以下の液体である。
図1、図2に示すように、マイクロ流路デバイス10は、流路ユニット16を厚さ方向に圧縮した状態で保持する保持部材としての一対の保持プレート38を有している。一対の保持プレート38は、流路ユニット16の厚さ方向における両端、すなわち上側流路部材12の上側及び下側流路部材14の下側に流路ユニット16と別体に設けられており、上側流路部材12の上面全体及び下側流路部材14の下面全体を覆う大きさとされている。
本例示的実施形態のマイクロ流路デバイス10を作製には、まず、滅菌紙が主面に貼り付けられた多孔膜30を準備する。そして、多孔膜30の下面30Bの滅菌紙をピンセットによって剥がし、図7に示すように、凹部26が形成された下側流路部材14の上に多孔膜30を載置し、多孔膜30と下側流路部材14とを接合する。これにより、下側流路部材14の凹部26と多孔膜30とによって下側マイクロ流路24を画成する。
以上、本開示の例示的実施形態の一例について説明したが、本開示は、上記に限定されるものでなく、上記以外にも、その主旨を逸脱しない範囲内において種々変形して実施可能である。
Claims (9)
- 厚さ方向に積層されてマイクロ流路を画成する複数の流路部材で構成されるとともに、少なくとも1つの前記流路部材が弾性を有する材料から成る流路ユニットと、
前記流路ユニットと別体又は一体に設けられ、前記流路ユニットを厚さ方向に圧縮した状態で保持する保持部材と、
を有し、
前記流路ユニットを構成する前記流路部材の間には、多孔膜が配置されており、
前記保持部材に挟まれて圧縮される前の前記流路ユニットに対する圧縮後の前記流路ユニットの厚さ方向の変形量は、前記多孔膜の厚さより大きく、かつ前記マイクロ流路の高さより小さい、

- 一対の前記保持プレート間における前記流路ユニットの周囲には、一対の前記保持プレートの間隔を規定する少なくとも1つのスペーサが設けられている、請求項2~請求項5のいずれか1項に記載のマイクロ流路デバイス。
- 弾性を有する材料から成る前記流路部材は、JIS K6253のタイプAデュロメータによるゴム硬度が20度以上80度以下とされている、請求項1~請求項6のいずれか1項に記載のマイクロ流路デバイス。
- 前記流路ユニットの前記厚さ方向の変形量は、0.1μm以上500μm以下である、請求項1~請求項7のいずれか1項に記載のマイクロ流路デバイス。
- 前記保持部材は、JIS K6253のタイプAデュロメータによるゴム硬度が80度以上の保持プレートである、請求項1~請求項8のいずれか1項に記載のマイクロ流路デバイス。
