Description
したがって、本発明の好ましい実施態様では、LCT前駆体は、最も近い強化繊維の長軸に沿って実質的に配向されたディレクターnを有する。
<P2>が1であることは、(そのXRDパターンが記録された)すべてのLCT前駆体分子がディレクターnと整列していることに相当する。最も近い強化繊維の長軸に対するnの配向は、回折方位角X線強度における最大の位置によって決定することができる。本発明のプリプレグ製品は、0.1〜1の配向秩序パラメータ<P2>を有するLCT前駆体を含むことが好ましい。
強化繊維は、一般的に使用される繊維、例えば、A.R. Bunsell J Renardによる「Fundamentals of Fibre Reinforced Composite Materials(ファイバー補強複合材料の基礎)」(IOP Publishing Ltd 2005)に記載されている繊維であってよい。
本発明の方法において使用され、本発明の組成物中に存在するLCT前駆体を、以下に詳細に記述する。LCT前駆体は、典型的には300〜400℃の温度で反応するとLCTを形成可能な反応性前駆体である。LCTオリゴマーは、本発明において使用することができるLCT前駆体の最も好ましいタイプである。

本発明によるプリプレグ製品は、容易に調製することができる。好ましい調製方法は、強化繊維の配列体(本明細書では繊維の配列体又は単に配列体とも称する)に、液晶熱硬化性(LCT)前駆体を含浸させることを含む。
本発明のさらなる態様は、複数の積み重ねられた本発明によるプリプレグ製品を含むプリプレグラミネート製品であり、第2のプリプレグ製品上に積み重ねられた第1のプリプレグ製品の強化繊維の長手方向軸は、第2のプリプレグ製品の強化繊維の長手方向軸とは異なる方向に配向される。
本発明のさらなる態様は、強化繊維が、少なくとも部分的に架橋された液晶熱硬化性(LCT)前駆体をベースとするマトリックスによって取り囲まれている、本発明によるプリプレグ製品をベースとする複合製品である。
Claims (13)
- 強化繊維と、
反応により液晶熱硬化性物質(LCT)を形成可能な反応性前駆体である液晶熱硬化性(LCT)前駆体と
を含む、複合体を形成するのに適したプリプレグ製品、例えばテープ又はシート等であって、
強化繊維配列体(arrangement)を、液晶熱硬化性(LCT)前駆体を含む溶融物を通して移動させるプルトルージョン法によって得ることができ、
ここで、LCT前駆体は、フェニルアセチレン、フェニルマレイミド、及びナジイミドの末端キャップから選択される1つ又は2つの自己反応性末端キャップを有する液晶熱硬化性(LCT)オリゴマーである、プリプレグ製品。 - LCT前駆体が、最も近い強化繊維の長軸に沿って実質的に配向されたディレクターnを有する、請求項1に記載のプリプレグ製品。
- LCT前駆体が、0.1と1との間の配向秩序パラメータ<P2>を有する、請求項1又は2に記載のプリプレグ製品。
- 強化繊維が、炭素繊維、ガラス繊維、アラミド繊維、セラミック繊維、ポリベンゾイミダゾール(PBI)繊維、ポリベンゾオキサゾール(PBO)繊維、カーボンナノチューブ繊維、及びこれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のプリプレグ製品。
- 液晶熱硬化性(LCT)前駆体が、好ましくはエステル、エステル−イミド、及びエステル−アミドからなる群から選択される液晶骨格を含む、液晶熱硬化性(LCT)オリゴマーであり、前記LCTオリゴマーの骨格中に存在するモノマーの少なくとも95%は、芳香族である、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のプリプレグ製品。
- LCTオリゴマーが、1,000〜13,000の数平均分子量(Mn)を有する、請求項5又は6に記載のプリプレグ製品。
- LCTオリゴマーが、以下:
R’は、独立に、1つ又は複数の、水素、6以下の炭素原子を含むアルキル基、6以下の炭素原子を含むアリール基、10以下の炭素原子を含むアリール基、6以下の炭素原子を含む低級アルコキシ基、10以下の炭素原子を含む低級アリールオキシ基、フッ素、塩素、臭素、又はヨウ素であり、
環A及びBは、独立に、アリール又はヘテロアリールに任意に縮環していてもよい6員のアリール又はヘテロアリールであり、
Xは、独立に、O、C(O)、OC(O)、C(O)O、S、NR1、C(O)NR1、又はNR1C(O)であり、
R1は、独立に、1つ又は複数の、アルキニル、アルキル、アルケニル、アリール、ヘテロアリール、シクロアルキル、ヘテロシクリル、ハロゲン、又はハロアルキルであり、
R2は、独立に、水素、ヒドロキシル、アルキル、アリール、ヘテロアリール、シクロアルキル、又はヘテロシクリルである。)
からなる群から選択される自己反応性末端基を有する、請求項5〜7のいずれか一項に記載のプリプレグ製品。 - 請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載のプリプレグ製品を製造する方法であって、
強化繊維配列体に液晶熱硬化性(LCT)前駆体を含浸させる工程を含み、
ここで、前記含侵させる工程は、強化繊維配列体を、液晶熱硬化性(LCT)前駆体を含む溶融物を通して移動させて、含浸された強化繊維配列体を得る、プルトルージョン法を含み、
任意選択で、前記含浸された強化繊維配列体を、加熱したダイを通して移動させて、成形された含浸繊維配列体を得、次いで、冷却して、プリプレグ製品を得る工程をさらに含んでいてもよい、方法。 - 溶融物が、200〜400℃、好ましくは250〜350℃の温度である、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 複数の、積層した、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載のプリプレグ製品をベースとするプリプレグラミネート製品であって、
第2のプリプレグ製品上に積み重ねられた第1のプリプレグ製品の強化繊維の長手方向軸が、第2のプリプレグ製品の強化繊維の長手方向軸とは異なる方向に配向されている、プリプレグラミネート製品。 - 複数の、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載のプリプレグ製品をベースとし、複数のプリプレグ製品の少なくとも一部が共有結合によって結合している、複合材製品。
- 請求項12に記載の複合材製品を製造する方法であって、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載のプリプレグ製品を重ね、熱硬化させる工程を含む、方法。
