Description
実施例1.
図1の下側に示されるように、基材10/パターン層11/低屈折層12の順に積層された視野角補償フィルムを構成してシミュレーションを進行させ、Eldim社のEZContrast x188装置およびLighttoolsを用いて視野角に応じた輝度を測定した。
2)低屈折層:上記パターン層の上部に具備(550nmの波長における屈折率:1.49)
上記実施例1においてθを90゜、θ1を5゜、θ2を85゜に構成したことを除けば、実施例1と同様に構成してシミュレーションを進行させた。
上記実施例1においてθ1を5゜、θ2を5゜に構成したことを除けば、実施例1と同様に構成してシミュレーションを進行させた。
上記実施例1においてパターン層の屈折率を1.50、低屈折層の屈折率を1.49に構成したことを除けば、実施例1と同様に構成してシミュレーションを進行させた。
実施例2.
上記実験例1の実施例1の視野角補償フィルムを含むディスプレイ装置を構成してシミュレーションを進行させた。
上記実施例2において視野角補償フィルムを含まないことを除けば、実施例2と同様にディスプレイ装置を構成してシミュレーションを進行させた。
Eldim社のEZContrast x188装置を用いてパネルのon/off状態での(White/Blackモード)における視野角分布を測定してC/R計算し、その結果を下記表1に示した。また、実施例2の実験結果を図11〜13および18に、比較例4の実験結果を図14〜17に示した。下記の図11および図14は、ホワイト輝度(Luminance white、Lw)を測定した図であり、図12および15は、ブラック輝度(Luminance black、Lb)を測定した図であり、図13および16は、Lw/Lbを示す図である。また、下記の図17は、比較例4のCR曲線を示す図であり、図18は、実施例2のCR曲線を示す図である。

Claims (10)
- パターン層および低屈折層を含み、
前記パターン層および前記低屈折層の屈折率の差が0.02〜0.4であり、
前記パターン層は、平坦面を含む第1面と、前記第1面と反対側の、複数の突出部を含む第2面とを含み、
前記突出部は、それぞれが第1傾斜面および第2傾斜面を含み、
前記第1傾斜面または前記第1傾斜面を延長した面と前記第1面とのなす角度(θ1)と、前記第2傾斜面または前記第2傾斜面を延長した面と前記第1面とのなす角度(θ2)とが互いに異なる角度を有し、
前記第1傾斜面または前記第1傾斜面を延長した面と、前記第2傾斜面または前記第2傾斜面を延長した面とのなす角度(θ)は、20゜〜50゜であり、
θ 1 は、60゜〜90゜であり、θ 2 は、40゜〜80゜であり、
前記突出部の前記第1面に垂直な少なくとも1つの断面が三角形状であり、
前記低屈折層は、前記パターン層の前記第2面側に備えられる、視野角補償フィルム。 - 前記複数の突出部は、連続して配置されている、請求項1に記載の視野角補償フィルム。
- 前記第1傾斜面および前記第2傾斜面は、平坦面である、請求項1または請求項2に記載の視野角補償フィルム。
- 前記第1面側に備えられる基材フィルムをさらに含む、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の視野角補償フィルム。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の視野角補償フィルムを含む偏光板。
- 前記視野角補償フィルムは、前記偏光板の最外側に備えられる、請求項5に記載の偏光板。
- 液晶セルと、
前記液晶セルの視野側に備えられる第1偏光板と、
前記液晶セルの視野側の反対側に備えられる第2偏光板と、
前記第2偏光板の前記液晶セルと対面する面の反対側に備えられるバックライトユニットとを含み、
前記第1偏光板または前記第2偏光板が請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の視野角補償フィルムを含む画面表示用ディスプレイ装置。 - 前記第1偏光板が前記視野角補償フィルムを含み、前記パターン層の前記第2面が前記液晶セルと近く配置される、請求項7に記載の画面表示用ディスプレイ装置。
- 前記第2偏光板が前記視野角補償フィルムを含み、前記パターン層の前記第2面が前記液晶セルと近く配置される、請求項7または請求項8に記載の画面表示用ディスプレイ装置。
- 前記視野角補償フィルムは、前記第1偏光板または前記第2偏光板の最外側に備えられる、請求項7〜9のいずれか1項に記載の画面表示用ディスプレイ装置。
